Brief Testimony of David Karunakar
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” (Eph 1:3)
Brother David Karunakar was saved on November 3, 1997, when he was 11 years old. He received a call from God for full time ministry so he stopped his secular education and went to Bible College at the age of 14. David earned a Bachelor of Theology from Hindustan Bible College in Chennai, India and Master of Divinity from Madras Theological College in Chennai, India.
By the grace of God and by the power of the Holy Spirit, David has memorized over 1,000 Scriptures from all 66 Books of the Holy Bible. In addition he has memorized all 22 chapters of the Book of Revelation in the Holy Bible. His Dad, Pastor Gali, who has memorized 5,000 Scriptures, has been his inspiration to memorize the Word of God. Keeping the God’s Word in his heart helped him to worship and pray according to the Word of God to have a Spirit-filled life.
During all these years, God used him in many ways and is using him in different ministries such as street preaching, village ministry, children ministry, church ministry, prison ministry, literature ministry and television ministry. He is thankful to God that even though he is not worthy, but still God’s grace is enabling him to serve God with his life.
In 2007, David was married to his wife Lavanya, who is gifted in singing. They are blessed with three children, Israel, Jessica and Joseph.
By the grace of God and by the power of the Holy Spirit, David has written 3 books.
1. Meaningful Prayer - Praying According to the Word of God
2. Meaningful Worship - Worshipping according to the Word of God
3. Animals and Birds of the Bible (a Pictorial book for Kids, to learn 30 Spiritual Lessons from 30 Animals and Birds of the Bible)
