I agree with most things you say, but I don't agree with the moving around thing. Well, ofcourse you should'nt be completely locked in the same spot, and your body shouldn't be stiff as a stick (unless that's your cosplay). But I think that daring to be still, and to move when you actually, as your character, whould is better. The movements should come naturally, if you do a lot of movements "just because" it'll look very staged. ^^ That's just my opinion. ;)
