Human beings have always been drawn to beautiful and sparkling things. So it has been said that once something ceases to be rare, it ceases to be special. This is simply why the marketing of diamonds are tightly controlled, however, this applies mostly to white stones. Colored stones are rare and naturally colored stones of size are more so without argument.
If a large, fancy vivid stone can garner, 70 mills dollars, is there any rational thought that there is a hoard of extras in a vault somewhere is ludicrous. The market for these diamonds could be doubled, tripled without diminishing the current value.
It it these large diamonds that are rare and special. The dreams of millions of girls and women are kept alive because of them. Even if they are only afforded a chip, it's owning a part of the dream and that, my friend, is special.

OMG!!! 4 years ago my daughter was driving for Uber. She was sent to pick up a girl with a 'fake' name to protect the identity of the woman. She was instructed to pick 'fake' name woman up from Rodeo Drive across the street from Tiffany's & Co..
The woman she picked up was a little drunk from champagne and very upset! She climbed into the passenger seat next to my daughter and began to tell her story of woe's.
Tiffany, my daughter was given an address where the lovely woman wanted to be dropped off at. Then the girl begins to tell her story. Apparently, her boyfriend had taken her to Tiffany &Co., where her boyfriend proposed to her with a Pink Diamond engagement ring!!
She became very upset because her girlfriend's engagement ring was a huge, white 10 carate diamond ring worth
Several million dollars. The girl reaches in her purse, pulls a ring box out, pops the ring box open and there, nestled in a Tiffany & Co. Ring box was a fabulos Pink Diamond Engagement Ring worth $2.5 million dollars!! She offers the ring to my daughter, which she politely declined.
So, Miss Pissed Off rolls down her window and throws the box with the Pink Diamond Ring out the window and into bushes!!!
At this point in her story,
MY HEART STOPPED!!!

Kim gave her friend a hug, when here comes her sister pulling up into the driveway, hops out of her car so she could rush over to help comfort their distraught friend!! As for the $2.5 million dollar Pink Diamond Ring,

Great video! I want to add a few cents... The problem with pink diamond is that it looks like spinel. Only highly trained eye can immediately see the difference. If the reddish intensity in the pink diamond increases, then the diamond can be immediately distinguished even by amateurs because darker pink diamonds don't look like rubies at all. That's the reason red diamonds are way more expensive.

Hi Andrew! Well these are very large, colored intensely and beautiful diamonds. I think the no. 9, the pink star, is quite incredible, wish it were set with some white diamonds around it tho. The woman who said she likes pink diamonds is likely wearing pink sapphires lol as she shows off her gorgeous stones, I mean who is going to ask her to have them tested on the spot? JLo isn't the end all of diamond rings. As much as she's been engaged I think it would be pretty dumb for her to spend 30+ million dollars on a rare diamond ring, I'd say most of these aren't for wearing, they are more of a collectors item that need to be protected.
