I think it's because the opponent he had to beat in the round before last was the super high stat pirate cleave guy, so he had to switch to scam to beat him

Well he saw 1 leeroy (placed to counter a cleave so you know he will move it against him) and 1 bramble before the final. I don't think that was the play at the moment but fungus indeed counter bramble interaction.

you see the blue light border around the units? once you hero power and one of the unit's border disappears, it means you cant buy it from the shop as its in your hand (via hero power)

It's a strong effect but hard to fit into most comps. So it's fine imo.

@@TheMirksta I think it depends. In high power-level lobbies, you don't want to stop at tier 3 unless you have an absolutely terrible hero and lost most early fights. And if you're tiering to 4, you don't generally want to buy a tier 3 even if it is a strong card.

You mean his final board positioning? Endgame is about countering your opponent. Dog knew it was big beasts and scam, no cleave. He had to protect his own scam on the backline to cleanup the big beast minions that are typically in the backline of the opponents board.
