Learn Digital Character Design! - Expression, Proportion, Gesture, Anatomy, Personality and more!

The Character Design program leads you step-by-step through the process of creating great characters.
This includes learning about character expression and proportion, as well as the fundamentals of gesture drawing, anatomy, character personality, clothing and character angles and perspectives.
Based on this learning, you will develop and complete a series of dynamic digital characters for animation, game design and digital comics.
These classes are designed to emphasize exaggerated shapes and proportions, as well as experiment with gesture and facial expressions.
The students will have an analytical understanding of the human figure, including the shape and function of the human skeletal and muscular systems for both the head and the entire body.
By the end of these courses, students will have developed 2-5 of their own characters.

ANATOMY - MUSCLE, BONE, (SIDE, FRONT, BACK)
FACE 1 - EYE, NOSE, LIPS, EARS
FACE 2 - ANGLES, LIGHT AND SHADOW
GESTURE - WEIGHT AND BALANCE
SILHOUETTE - BODY TYPES AND SHAPES
CREATURE DESIGN 1 - DIFFERENT ANIMAL ANATOMICAL STUDY
CREATURE DESIGN 2 - MIX AND CREATION
CHARACTER DESIGN 1 - RESEARCH
CHARACTER DESIGN 2 - STRUCTURE
CHARACTER DESIGN 3 - COSTUME DESIGN
CHARACTER DESIGN 4 - MOTION STUDY
