Yeah it’s an awesome bike.. unfortunately there’s no 1200 coming yet , the 937 is the only monster Ducati sell new now
I fear there won't be one either. Reckon it'll be the same story as with the Supersport: 937 Testastretta only. Shame. I really liked it on a long test ride but it didn't have quite enough go. I'd have bought a 1200 or 1260 Supersport.

I have the Termi de-cat on my Supersport 937 that shares the same engine and it sounds fantastic, must ask Simon nicely and give the new Monster a go next time I'm in Maldon. Cheers Project moto

Should have taken the baffles out for an even more epic sound. I put that exhaust on mine last week (full system) but told them to take the baffles out. Should be noted that taking the baffles out on just the slip on exhaust is not an easy job as they are welded on. On the full system termi they can be removed by just removing a few bolts - thing to remember.
Yeah we have taken the baffles out on some, I think we have done a video on one without the baffles , yeah if you want to take out the baffles you need the system , the Termi end cans options are just homologated cans that can’t be opened
I've got the 2020 821 Monster with the Termignoni twin can slip on and mid pipe that gets rid of the catalytic converter. Ducati added the Termi ecu exhaust map to the bike. I have the noise reduction baffles out and It's fairly loud. Loud enough I feel bad riding it at night near homes. Then I added the Ducati Quick Shifter and down shift bliper with the shifter operation turned on in the ecu by ducati dealership, required. With all this together the bike now is loud and it crackles and pops when down shifting or riding aggressively. It is amazing to hear and feel but could be crossing the line for loudness. The baffle inserts calm/tame it down a bit but once its loud the quiet version becomes not enough. Maybe a middle ground would be perfect. I Love my quickshifter/blipper and Termignoni exhaust setup. The quickshift helped smooth out the shifting performance just by itself which gives the ecu notice you are using you foot to shift due to the sensor. Even if not power shifting the Ducati QS is great to have. Insane upshifts/solid gear transitions under full power no clutch! ua-cam.com/video/5L7b2VscJIc/v-deo.html
Awesome, they sound so cool but yeah sometimes with the baffles out it can be a little loud.. quick shifter definitely makes a lot of difference to the ride, once you have been using them for a while its hard to go back to a bike without one
@@ProjectMoto Well saiid.. I'd have to ride the 2022 with its all new platform redesign but I find skeptical that I'd like the motor and ducati vibe better. Maybe smoother and a better chasis for racetrack but the 2020 model is supreme ducati style and DNA in my perception.
I like a Yamaha MT-09/MT-10 which the 2021 ducati monster has transition into with styling but it was never in the same ball park as ducati.
@@GettingthruLife it’s is definitely worth riding , I always enjoy riding it , the handling and engine are so good riding around the twisty roads here , always makes me smile,both the the Yamaha’s are good bikes until you ride something better and tbh I was more impressed with the MT09 then the MT10 around the lanes mainly because I expected more form the MT10, haven’t ridden the SP yet though so we shall see..

Thanks, glad your enjoying them, some hide a bit of things like the water bottle and bits but maybe, have to have a look when we take some off one day, no doubt they will have some carbon ones fitted on.some soon

depends what you want out of a bike mate, they are all good..but i don't have to buy one , for the monet i would have one of these.. but i do like a 1200r as well

Thanks, we get the map from Ducati and plug it in and upload the map here on the computer at the dealers , you don’t get a plug in one in the box , you could always ask at your local dealer and see what they could do maybe ?
where can I only buy the termignoni pipe, I already have the termignoni silencer but I want to eliminate the catalyst by inserting the direct pipes, which are a work of art. Nice video
The homologated Termignoni pipe is not the same end can that you get with the Termi exhaust system … if you have the homologated termi that has one pipe form the catalytic converter it will not fit the pipe work , unfortunately the system end cans are different, and thanks :)
just got my bike monday, took the DB killer’s out an hour later .. fuckin hell man, do it just for a video. the quick shifting down without DB killers is savage.

Great video - I’ve got a new 937 and love it but wished it sounded sportier - not necessarily much louder. Would the Termi slip-ons improve the sound much for the money or is the full Termi the only way to go? Is it a problem in the real world in terms of not being for the road unlike the slip-on? Cheers
Thanks , tbh just the slip on cans there is not really any difference then the look of them ,you get the sound difference removing the catalytic converter, the Termignoni system is louder and a deeper sound , for me sounds really good on the downshift ,with the baffles taken out they are louder again, probably best thing to do is contact your local Ducati dealer tell them that you are interested in the exhaust and ask them if they could let you know when one is coming in so you can hear one first , it’s just hard to say what maybe I think is not loud you might think it is loud
I wish the Termi on my Multi 950S sounded as good as that. Do you know if there's a de-cat link pipe available? What else is needed?
Ok I think with the Multi 950s Ducati only have the end can available to order, I don’t think I have seen a d-cat yet on a multi 950, but that doesn’t mean that Termignoni or another company don’t do them , but yeah if u got rid of the cat you would need to have the bike mapped too , then your bike would sound different for sure as just end cans alone don’t usually make them sound too different to standard

Did removing the cat help with the heat under the front of the seat?? I really love this bike but riding with a supernova under the nuts start to be annoying, do you have some advice?
Removing the cat will help a little I guess as the cat box gets hot and stays hot and more air can get around the pipe work , but mainly the problem with any twin engine bike is that you are really sitting on the rear cylinder and header pipe so there can be heat, I only noticed the heat the other day when I was out and it was 30 degrees outside, usually I only go for a blast so am moving around on the bike a lot so don’t notice it too much , but yeah if you are commuting etc heat is a thing on V (or L as On a Ducati) twin engine

Great video 👍🏽,I ’ve just brought this exhaust from your videos alone. I’ve ordered it from a Ducati dealer but only got the large box, what was in the smaller brown cardboard box? Also I have no software, is this something that should be in the box or is it a simple case of a Ducati dealer just plugging the bike in once fitted? Cheers
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video, the small brown box was a different part to be fitted to the bike and not to do with the exhaust, it was the screen, the map is added by the dealer through the computer, there is no actual map key that comes in the box with the exhaust, it has to be done by the Ducati dealer

Yeah you can get the baffles out, but they are kind of a half system as the don’t change the header pipes , but it does removes the catalytic converter, I will find out the part number when I go to the shop :)
so what is the difference between this and the standard pipes? just a decat or does this come with a different tune as well because its £2,165 on Ducati's website at the moment?
These are Termignoni cans and pipe work to get rid of the cat rather then just the standard non termi cans , it’s kind of a 2/3 system as you do not get the header pipes also , you get a new map with it, there is differences in sound,weight, power and performance , it really is good on the Monster
A video doesn't do it justice. Doesn't sound that different imo. I heard it on a demo bike on a Ducati center though and damn, it's a big difference!

Hi, I’ve now had my brand new monster 2 months, it’s just had it’s first service and I love the bike, I’m considering the termignomi exhaust, can you explain the difference and benefits of getting the full system against the slip on. Thanks

Well the slip on cans are really for the look and only a slight change in the tone of the sound as it still has the catalytic converter and is still homologated for road use, the full system has the look and are a lot better sound and louder, you also get a new map for the bike, it’s lighter, has more bhp ,torque and allows the bike to breath better which makes it also feel different to ride , but it is a ‘race system’ so it’s not homologated for road use.. although a lot of people obviously use them on the road

@@phurren1tbh that depends on the MOT tester , best to ask your local tester first and say what you want and if they are ok with exhaust systems, it’s not overly loud unless of course you remove the baffles , just ask first is the best thing to do

Question 1) How long did it take to install the kit and upload the map? My local Ducati dealer is trying to tell me it takes 4 hours to fit them - exactly the same kit shown in this video.
Are they taking the piss? I would have thought an hour, tops?
Question 2) That kit costs over $3700AUD here in Australia. (From the above-mentioned dealer) I found one online in Italy for only $2870AUD delivered. Will a dealer install the map if I purchased the cans elsewhere and installed them myself? Obviously I'd pay for the map install.

Thanks, it does sound really good , I don’t know the exact time it takes , I will be at the shop tomorrow so I will ask how long it takes to fit or what the expected time to do one is , there a a bit to do but you don’t have to change the header pipes so don’t think it takes that long , the map you would have to ask your local dealer what they would do , again when I’m at the shop I will ask them what they will do, I will let you know
Ok here they are probably more to 2 to 2 and half hours or something, that’s just to be safe , may be quicker, they may of just seen what Ducati say how long it takes ,as for the map again here if someone bought the exhaust from them and went home and fitted it themselves they would put the map in the bike , usually for a Ducati dealer to do the map u would have to buy the exhaust from a Ducati dealer

When you buy the exhaust through Ducati they adding a remap to the bike and when it’s fitted the Ducati dealer with plug the bike in and load up the Map

Takes a couple of hours or so to remove the standard exhaust and install the Termignoni system and map the bike

Yeah do sound and work good and they are expensive exhaust , good thing with the Termignoni and Akrapovic exhaust they are mapped right with the Ducati’s .. they are not the dearest I have seen
@@ProjectMoto i think i paid £600 for my austin racing but that was just can and didn't need remap.
@@soupdragon1 yeah it’s cheaper to just get cans, this is not a full system but the closest they do for one for the Monster, just the header pipes are not changed, but getting rid of the cat and having mapped makes a good difference, but I do agree it’s a lot of money
