My husband and I were yelling at the TV cheering you on in both races. You looked fantastic and made us proud Australians. Well done to you Mia and your fellow Aussie athletes. You achieved something very few people do. We hope you had a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

I watched your race. It was awesome cause I only discovered your channel about two weeks before the Olympics. Then I just happen to have the tv on and the 200 metre race was on. It was awesome to see you run.

So you were staying in Montpellier, my place, without telling me... what ? And that stadium (Phillipides was the Greek runner in the city of Marathon) is the place were former World champion in decathlon, Kevin Mayer, trains and prepares everyday. Unfortunately, he had to withdraw from the home-turf Games, due to a tendon injury. And next to the stadium is the gymnasium/club where the Lebrun brothers are training and playing (Games tennis-table bronze medalists as a team, with their mate Simon Gauzy).
Last time I hosted Aussie champions in there was when I was commentator for the Rugby World Cup, and I had to welcome the whole Australian XV then take them to a brand-new stadium for a public training (then a second, a few days later). Great guys, great team spirit, great moments with them !
Apart from Paris, the city of Montpellier is the one in France with the most teams/squads in first and second divisions of high-levels sports. Making it the most "athletic" city in the country, and probably in the whole of Europe.
Whoever wants to visit and have some nice time in the area, and in the South of France globally, just give me a call !
