    Hi Shraddha, nice to be here again and see your informative and lovely Vlog. I agree with all you said and I think it´s very informative for people considering to come to Germany.
    Here some facts to the broadcasting Fee: Until the 1980´s we had only public Radio and TV. Then privat owned Radio and TV where permitted. But the public broadcasting was protected to make shure that the basic supply of Information will not be left to the powerful Investors and their influences The function of Radio and TV was regarded as too important in a democracy to leave in the hands of these groups and persons. Public broadcasting has to be provided by Non Profit Organisations under supervision of brodcasting boards (Rundfunkräte). Members of these boards are Delegates of all relevant groups of the society. The Government ist not allowed to interfere. As they may not make enough Money from Advertises, the Rest of the costs has to be payed as a Fee by the public to the GEZ (Gebühreneinzugszentrale).
    The Church Tax: It is actually no real Tax, even if it´s called a Tax and ruled by Law. If you are a Member of a certain christian Church, you have to pay a contribution or Fee to it. The Government is only the collector of the Fee on behalf of the the Churches. That is based on very old contracts between the Government and the Churches (starting in the 19th Century). The Government is payed for this service.
    Have a nice time and go on Vlogging!!!!

      This is really great information, even every country should follow the same. As i see in every country broadcasting is always under the influence of government. And ruling government takes the advantage of it. Nice to hear that in Germany situation is completely different.
      Also thanks to Shraddha for this awesome video.

    I can feel your pain when you said the point 6 :) It becomes very difficult to match with their speed. The only way I have found from some other people to deal with this problem is to keep vegetables and fruits, which need to be weighed, at regular interval between other things.

    No matter how long you have been here, welcome to Germany.
    Wish you the very best time here.
    Love the Indian and Sri Lankan smiling attitude. Those are the REAL smiles.
    Coming from a German, that's something that Germany needs a LOT more of. We Germans are far too dour compared to Indians and Sri Lankans.
    Thank you for bringing another smiling face here.
    The entertainment taxes of the GEZ and GEMA are about the most hated institutions in Germany, even ahead of the IRS.
    Shopping and cashier race: best way to keep on top of that: Klappkiste / folding box in your shopping cart. Large open storage, easy to load, and one load to put into your car.
    Sauna and FKK/nudist areas: being nude in a sauna is a risk reduction. Many modern synthetic fabrics are not able to sustain high temperatures (95+°C) for more than a few minutes, especially women's skimpy bikinis. They could shrink, or even tear with sufficient exposure to the hot air in a sauna. There is also the risk of accidentally coming into contact with the hot oven inside the sauna. Skin might get minor (1st or at worst 2nd degree) burns, which makes a human quickly jump away from the hot surface. Synthetic fabrics on the other hand could melt and then stick to your skin, resulting in a much worse burn (and leave you in the unenviable position of having NO bathing wear when you leave the FKK area of the sauna). Yet please always put down a towel when you sit down to prevent your sweat from coming into contact with the (most often) wooden benches in a sauna.

    If you want to have more time at the counter the more pricy supermarkets like Rewe or Edeka can be an option. At Rewe my Dad has always his favorite cashiers where he knows they are not rushing 💪😂

    Hello Shraddha, welcome to Germany. A very interesting and informative video made by a beautiful and charming lady. Here some more information about life in "Germanistan";
    The kitchen (room), yes, we prefer to use our own furniture/style there, but in most appartment at least a kitchen sink is installed.
    The nudity thing: as you mentioned, here it's normal to be nude in a sauna - but most saunas also offer some "ladies only" time where men are not allowed.
    Nudity in public is seen as public nuisance, unless on specially marked/signed beaches or privately owned places like special clubs.
    Nevertheless I dare to say, Germans are not as prudish as Britains or Nations that were influenced by british culture.

      Actually I have read it on quora that some German beaches allow people to roam naked there. I ignored it simply by thinking it as a crap, nonsense content.
      Poor me😅😅😅

      In large cities a car often is not necessary, otherwise mostly one car per family might be sufficient. Busses serve even the smallest villages and some of them are served by train.

      @nari5025 4 роки тому

      Well, it depends (as it always does) :)
      As I came to know it, black cats can equally mean good luck too. As luck seems to be directional. (as a usually non superstitious but meticulous german i love this one)
      Von rechts nach links, dann gelinkt's. (right to left is good)
      Von links nach rechts, dann pecht's. (left to right is bad)

    @pyrointeam 4 роки тому

    I have to correct you on Aberglaube, Aber- doesn't mean "but" like you said, like "you know it's wrong BUT still believe it". Aber- comes from mittelhochdeutsch (middle high german) and means "verkehrt" (wrong, false, more precisely it means "switched into the exact opposite" (ins Gegenteil verkehren) but also today "verkehrt" is used as "wrong/not like it should be") it is also used in words like "aberwitzig" (if something is insane). So Aberglaube means "False Believe" and it goes back to the catholic church which claimed to be the "Truth" and everything pagan or little believes (like what brings (bad) luck), simply everything that can not be proven by the bible was Aberglaube/False Believe. It is still like this today, christians think that believing in bad luck from a black cat is ridiculous and insane, while believing walking on water, making water to wine or coming back from the dead or believing in heaven hell angle demons and an almighty entety without any evidence is somehow not.

    Fun fact. I believe in many gods. The old nordic gods Odin, Thor etc. They are so much more mighty than the christian god they dont need money from the mortals 😁🙏🙂
