Update on Cayman Islands, we got 3 inches of rain today, hardly any flooding in areas. We are all still watching the tropics in the western Caribbean to develop, we called them home grown systems 😂

I am a central Florida native, who until recently resided there. Due to the overpopulation of Florida, I now live on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Thank you Brian shields for this channel. You made us aware of our recent tropical storm days before the recent “ weather reporters” picked up on the fact that it was going to hit us.

Cayman Islands resident here: we definitely had a lot of rain the last 48 hours, but thankfully was looked on to be much worse. Lot's of late night thunderstorms waking us all up, even a power outage last night, but the vast majority has been just offshore. From what I've been seeing, we've had rainfall totals since this event being around 3.5 inches which has definitely caused some localized flooding, but most of it isn't draining quick enough, especially since it's been quite cloudy. Thank you for all you do sir keeping us informed.

Again, thank you so much for your hard work keeping us safe Brian. Here on Grand Turk 🇹🇨we have mainly easterly winds around 10 to 15 kn. There were a few drops a while ago but the main rain stays to the north of the island.

I’m so sorry for the people in the affected parts of the Caribbean. My area got lots of rain in 2021 because of a front that was “stuck.” We got a total of 61 inches of rain that summer. I really feel for these folks. As it is today, we gave 60-70% chances of rain each day for the rest of the week. It’s likely because of what you are telling us. Thanks for the big picture perspective! 👍🏻

God is so good. He sure had some really hot temperatures this Summer. They were suffocating temperatures. I'm sorry for the majority because of flooding in low lying areas but he needed a break from the heat! God knows.!! I hope it leaves us soon.

The morning moist and unstable conditions will continue to affect the region. The day started sunny with intermittent cloudy spells in the northern coastal areas and can expect a few showers and thunderstorms. These conditions are forecasted to shift towards the south and west by the afternoon. As night falls, Belize should brace for showers and thunderstorms, with a significant concentration on the coastal areas. A strong thunderstorm watch has been issued warning of potential heavy rainfall, intense lightning, and damaging winds. Coastal areas highs of 88 degrees Fahrenheit and lows of 78 degrees Fahrenheit . Inland areas highs of 94 degrees Fahrenheit and lows to 73 degrees Fahrenheit at night. Hi Brian. It seems like we're getting all of what we hadn't gotten over the Summer. I do hope that despite the danger of flooding, people will remain safe. There was significant overnight rain, damaging lightning, thunder last night in the Cayman Islands. Presently dark overcast with intermittent light showers. I am in Florida-east coast- and about mile from beach, and we've been warned for coastal flooding, but just cloudy skies so far. Being in hurricaine alley, I forget sometimes that these storms can end up in europe and UK. But, I always worry for the Islands . So many Islanders in Florida. But...Can I please add something? Just to take a minute to look at this amazing planet we call home. All of us. Isn't it just magnificent? It is in constant change, although at times to the point of sadness of loss of life, but still Unique in the unoverse and the most beautiful. I hope everyone the best. Taje care.
