A little ;) And that's a pretty interesting idea. I also do really like the idea of a Dinotopia zoo. I think that would be really, really cool to do. Once I've finished with the Vintage zoo I'm going to upload another video asking for everyone to suggest their ideas for the next series, you should definitely suggest a Dinotopia zoo because I think that will get a lot of people excited for that :)
Oh how neat. Making the exhibits pits instead of having the whole house on one level is so cool. On top of being multilevel already. I really like this. & did you just wait for the map to be darker to film this or do you have a special "night time" map? Also yaass those little oblivion mushrooms give me life. I love seeing them & using them.
Thanks! I'm pretty pleased with it as well. I actually used a mod to make the game night time like that. I figured it was probably appropriate for a nocturnal animal house. The mushrooms are pretty awesome. I always mean to use them more and end up forgetting xD
I wanted to build a nocturnal house but i didnt rlly know how to do it so thanks!!! But i will be building a greater mouse deer exhibit in there, they are mostly nocturnal
I'm glad to hear that :) And the must have mods in my opinion would be Radical Remake from Aurora Designs and Snowleo's combipatch for sure. Also, at least a few building sets from Zeta Designs are needed to make the buildings and such. That's what I can think of off the top of my head. If you need help finding any of those just let me know and I'd be happy to help.
I can't believe how far ZT2 designing has come, especially given Microsoft dropped support for the game years ago. :) Makes me very happy. Now if only I could find a way to make it play on my newish Windows 7 desktop! I keep getting a stupid error message about not being able to start the game. :( If anyone could point me in the right direction for solving this, I'd appreciate it.
Hmm not sure why that would be. It shouldn't have anything to do with your OS. I play the game on windows 8 and I know it works on windows 10 as well. Although you could try to run it in compatibility mode with windows XP or something like that.
I tried opening the game using the exe file, rather than the game interface. That worked! Then I had to solve a different problem, that of the zoom being so tight, I could only see a very small part of the map when zoomed all the way in. Used a hack for that; worked great. Then I noticed it just didn't look as slick as it should, so I'm resigned to upgrading the video card, if that's possible. Sometimes they're built in and can't be, like on a different machine I use to play once in a while. Thanks for your response! I'm enjoying watching your ZT2 vids. They've excellent. I'm totally intimidated. Heh.
Depends acutally, some lights for guests and have darkened glass for the animals, so that it doesn't seep through. Also, consider that nocturnal doesn't mean awake 24/7

hi why u stop doing speed builds,no one makes zoo tycoon vids anymore i feel so sad for that bc i feel like zoo tycoon 2 is falling down and not so many peoples is playing it and streaming it so i guess soon is end of zoo tycoon 2 which is really sad

Normally it would, but I use a mod called the Anywhere Hack that removes the restriction on placing foliage on the grid.

I like the building but no real nocturnal house would have sky-lights. The idea is to keep the interior dark.
