In this video we are going at the top of Europe which is Jungfraujoch Switzerland. We took a train for Jungfrau ( or Jungfraujoch) from Interlaken East. The train journey and Gondola was amazing. The landscape was serene and beautiful. It was once in a lifetime experience. It is a must visit if you visit Switzerland.
The Jungfraujoch (German: lit. "maiden saddle") is a saddle connecting two major 4000ers of the Bernese Alps: the Jungfrau and the Mönch. It lies at an elevation of 3,463 metres (11,362 ft) above sea level and is directly overlooked by the rocky prominence of the Sphinx. The Jungfraujoch is a glacier saddle, on the upper snows of the Aletsch Glacier, and part of the Jungfrau-Aletsch area, situated on the boundary between the cantons of Bern and Valais, halfway between Interlaken and Fiesch.
Since 1912, the Jungfraujoch has been accessible to tourists by the Jungfrau line, a railway from Interlaken and Kleine Scheidegg, running partly underground through a tunnel through the Eiger and Mönch. The Jungfraujoch railway station, at an elevation of 3,454 metres (11,332 ft) is the highest in Europe. It lies east of the saddle, below the Sphinx station, and is connected to the Top of Europe building, which includes several panoramic restaurants, shops, exhibitions, and a post office. Several tunnels lead outside, where secured hiking trails on the crevassed glacier can be followed, in particular to the Mönchsjoch Hut. The normal route to the Jungfrau and Mönch starts from there.
The Sphinx Observatory, one of the highest astronomical observatories in the world, provides an additional viewing platform at a height of 3,572 metres (11,719 ft), the second-highest in Switzerland. It can be reached by an elevator from the Jungfraujoch. The observatory houses one of the Global Atmosphere Watch's atmospheric research stations. The Jungfraujoch radio relay station, which is not accessible to the public, is installed west of the Jungfraujoch, on the Jungfrau ridge. It is Europe's highest radio relay station.

nice video , as per you if we buy day saver pass 50-60CHF so what cover and what not cover from Interlaken OST to round trip ?
Ht of kanchanjunga is 28170 feet, that of Mt. K2 is 28250 feet and that of Mt. Everest is 29030 feet..... which are way higher than these Alps's peaks ...... India and Nepal should also do something like this...... We also have Kashmir, Himachal, Uttrakhand and Himalayas.......

We did Iin august.. may to Sept is good to visit.. August is peak.. but obviously there's no guarantee as clouds can come anytime so better to check webcams on day.. as mentioned in video . 🙂😊

With swiss pass you can go till the bottom of mountain. From there you have to buy separate ticket as explained in video. You will get discount on the special ticket if you already have swiss pass👍

Swiss Govt has marketed this place so well that once you are in Switzerland you will feel as if your Swiss tour is wasted if you dont visit this place. But I guess there are other options which are similar in exp to this....If seeing glacier and snow is what you want then whats wrong with Titlis and Matterhorn ? .......Both are fantastic options but way cheaper

No we did not feel anysort of sickness and lot of people were there all normal.. in summer it's possible as daylight is longer

As explained in video you can go from Zurich to bern to Interlaken ost and then start your triangle trip from there as shown in video. If you want to do by train only then pick lauterbrunun route. 🙂

You have to book one way tickets for that online.. Or you can also but ticket at station like we did..

Hey Guys. It's such a loverly and informative video. We (2 Adults+1 Child(6yrs)) are going to Switzerland. We are going to Interlaken area for 4 days and thinking of buying Berner Oberland pass with Half Fare for Adults.We got Family card for child through Half Fare card.
