All of that disagreement is why I had a hard time getting into the movie. It was inconsistent in tone and performance. I think it was a solid effort, and the cinematography was mostly lovely, but it’s almost like everyone was good in their individual roles but it was as if they were each doing their own stand alone movies and got photoshopped together in the scenes because of how disconnected they all seemed from one another, performance-wise.
I really liked Eternals because Ikaris, Sersi, Druig and Thena were my favorite characters. I dont think Ikaris is a villain he was just misguided by Arishem and under his control but he regreetred Ajak's death and still loves Sersi and he helped the Eternals shut down Tiamut. I think Ikaris went into exile to rethink of what he has done. Sersi was a great character and I loved how her chemistry with the cast partically with Ikaris and Sprite. I absolutely love this movie so much, and that was a surprise seeing Harry styles in the mid credits scene, and the infighting between them gives me civil war vibes.
My theory and it's a good one. Thanos wasn't so bad after all he was just trying to save the planets from celestial extinction. If his brother at the ending credits was an eternal from another planet then he told Thanos and that made him a profit 🙆♂️💁♂️💁♂️. Explains it all and why he did what he did!!
to be honest if that was true he could be fuel by the anger that the celestials could have saved basically the entire universe from all its hardships but decided not to because more food for them. hell the planets he conquered and cut half of could have been eternal seed planets and by cutting half the population he could be destroying or delaying their plan essentially saving them from war, famine and total destruction. until he learned of the stones which could make him as powerful as a celestial.

So weird how on several platforms your generation can only say the same thing “they rated cuties good. Cuties this cuties that” my god it’s really crazy how saying anything dumb will spread. The movie doesn’t even have an audience rating yet and that’s the one that matters
I’m hoping angelina jolie will be the main character in the next Eternals movie! She’s way TOO GOOD for the group she needs a movie stands on it’s own.
uh, only sersi/phastos/kingo are kidnapped. sprite is now human, whether or not she still has her powers is uncertain (but she might join the eventual young avengers team), for her being human now means she won't breathe in space.
Why is everyone missing, that Dane could show up in Moon Knight? It would be easy to have Khonshu and the creator of the Ebony Blade, know each other. Or, any of the Marvel Disney+ shows?
Just thought of this, and I think it could actually happen. Its implied the Eternals will be put before the Living Tribunal, which I think may also mean Wanda, Loki, Hulk, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, The Watcher, and likely the Guardians of the Galaxy will all be put before the tribunal as a whole, being sent to Battle World or a variation of it, where they will be forced to fight amongst themselves. The actions determining which universe/timeline will be devoured by Galactus, who would be retconned as a Celestial. Just a theory but it seems like a logical direction.
I gotta say the movie was very fun! Kumail nanjiani is as eunthusiastic as he was in both the movie and real life (yes i have met him) and all the other characters really did great especially the plot was fantastic.
I hope so. I think he might not be dead. He might be sleeping in the sun and absorbing its energy. 😁 In the comics all them are supposed to be in mass suicide after they learn their true mission and be reborn. So he might be reborn also and come back next eternals. I dunno why but i find it goofy when harry styles came out post credit. 😅😂 the leprechaun aint helping either.
When Eternals 2 comes I'm hoping that all the dead members, Ikaris, Ajak, and Gilgamesh r resurrected with Sprite turned back into an eternal, BUT...will b aloud to age until she's like mid 30's then stop. That's not in the comics, it's my fan-thoughts.
I kinda love the Eternals despite its low reviews, did enjoy every bit of it The only off thing I got is its less reference for other MCU movies.... But nonetheless I love it 😆
What was so bad about the movie? Y'all say it was boring. There was a lot more action than most of the marvel movies. Macari was awesome and stole the show. Everybody's powers where cool. Thena was awesome. I know everyone is entitled to an opinion but this hate feels forced. Like y'all are really hating on the franchise and want it to fail for petty reasons.
Well It doesn’t help that you can’t tell the characters apart and there’s the little thing that nobody knows who these god characters are or why thanos wiping out half the universe apparently isn’t enough to get them to act.
@@rhaeasoul8531 I was able to tell all the characters apart. The speedster, the mechanic, the energy blaster, the mind controller, the matter manipulator, the flying eye been one, the super strong one. I remember they're names and personalities too. They explained why the didn't interfere in the trailer. You've been living under a rock if you don't know that or you're just trolling.
Can't wait for my first viewing ever of Eternals when I snatch up the blu ray. I couldn't take my eyes off of Richard Madden and Angelina Jolie, a god and a goddess, truly.
Eternals is the greatest victory in cinematic history. Better than Star Wars, the Matrix and Joker combined. 2hrs 37 minutes isn’t enough. I wish it was longer, 3,4,6 hours long would be great. Eternals deserves to win every award on earth, . I’m filling my home and garage with Eternals toys and merch. I own Disney stock, I need you to buy everything Eternals, for me, I’m wanting another Porsche. Thank you 🙏
0:49 There's a small plot hole there. Thanos is part Deviant too plus his motive is the exact opposite of what Arishem wanted so should he have the Eternals fight Thanos too?
thanos is not a deviant in the mcu; his relationship with the eternals, deviants and celestials are not yet clearly defined in the film so no it’s not a plot hole.
@@matthewmurdock.806 Still, Thanos' goal to erase half the universe's population is against the Celestials' goal to increase the universe's population in order to create more Celestials so Arishem should still have the Eternals stop Thanos. Therefore, the plot hole remains.
@@Bardim18 in the film, it is explicitly stated that eternals will only interfere if deviants are involved. deviants are creatures that consume humans and disrupt the natural order; that is why they must be eliminated. they are also a direct responsibility of the celestials, since they were created at arishem’s world forge. thanos however is not under celestial jurisdiction and therefore is considered as part of the natural order. the same thing can be said for other world ending events, such as ultron, graviton, ego, etc.
@@matthewmurdock.806 That doesn't make sense. How Thanos erasing half the universe doesn't disrupt natural order, since more Celestials emerging is also part of the natural order? This is explicitly stated in the film too. Thanos should be under the Celestials' jurisdiction. The plot hole is still there.
@@Bardim18 its simple: the deviants’ hostile behavior are a direct result of the celestials’ reckless tinkering; therefore it is only right that they take responsibility for it. other things however are not under their jurisdiction, and nor are they Arishem’s responsibility. if you say the decrease in human population is a disruption of the natural order, then why were the eternals instructed not to interfere in human conflicts? they could have saved millions of lives doing so (cortes’ invasion of tenochtitlan, the black plague, heroshima, etc). The same concept is applied to Thanos. Eternals not interfering is crucial in ensuring the natural progress of humanity and life itself
Ikaris better be alive. He was the best character with some actual development In the comics he is the prime eternal and the leader soo I hope he returns and takes the lead
"Why didn't you interfere in any other conflicts?" "Told not to" Ok whatever you need to tell yourself for weakass writing. Nevermind the fact that Thanos is part deviant.
No reason to assume he is in the MCU. Anyway, I wouldn't want to piss off the Eternals if I had any choice about it. When gods tell you not to do a thing, you listen.
Even if Thanos is part Deviant, which we have no reason to believe he is here, he's also part Eternal, so there's conflict. Also, they didn't know what he was up to until it had already been done. It's also revealed that the leader of the Eternals on Earth, Ajak, wanted to prevent the Emergence from happening and upon finding out what Thanos had planned, probably figured it was a good way to delay the emergence. Idk, I'm just speculating like everyone else
@@bestsquadsmemer3990 yes, I know. Lol that's what I'm saying. She knew him snapping away half the life throughout the universe would delay the emergence. The heroes of Earth bringing everyone back with a snap really made her want to save the people of earth from it
Wow. I finished watching this movie the other day and I did some research, y'all probably should too. Big things are coming to the MCU and the Eternals might be a huge puzzle piece to what is coming next and Thena is Thano's 1st cousin
This is my theory which would probably make sense: Remember how Doctor Strange looked into millions of ways of how to defeat Thanos, that means he had to have known that the Eternals were on earth and that if they were to fight with the avengers, they both would lose to him.
I didn't know what to expect before I saw this movie but it was really on point though action scenes were amazing and madden as Ickraus impressed me and the blade at the end 👌

Glad to see arishem getting his respect it was said he created the universe in this movie he’s crazy powerful then and I also assume he did that easily he talked about cosmic balance duality same reason why him and his friends pulled up on big g for smoke because he killed more then could be born it upset the cosmic balance like thanos said
I just recently discovered this movie and no none of the back stories, I still found it entertaining. Your explanation though, almost caused my head to explode and kinda wish I never clicked on it.
It makes you ponder to make films like these nearly timeless. Audience thought it was boring but I welcome these changes and prepared myself for these somewhat slow paced story.
as explained in the movie, the eternals are basically robots. synthetic life forms created to help with the emergence of the celestials. and they failed at that.
@@radrobd I don’t understand what you mean? Besides Ikaris and maybe Durig, the other characters didn’t seem as “powerful” as I thought they’d be? Is there a reason?
At least they are powerful than black widow, and others. Like ironman? I think ironman is stronger. I seen ikaris almost got killed by deviant. But sersi save ikaris. Bet ironman would do better against deviant. If ironman is in carnage, he would end the movie in 30 minutes building solid cage, full of loud sound to trap carnage.
Pretty sure that Ikaris, Gilgamesh, Kingo, and Thena would all be able to beat every single one of the Avengers in a one on one fight ... Except maybe Thor, and Wanda too.
@@donaldhaley5648 the desperately fought off deviants; pretty sure hulk, ironman ect would end the 1 on 1 fast. Unless the movie’s depiction of them was false.
Yes, at my theater, they turned on the lights after the mid-credit scenes with Eros (Harry Styles). I got up and left as did most of the theater and then i heard there was a post credit scene
Coming from someone who doesn’t read/know the comics beside the mention of Thanos & the blip this didn’t feel like an MCU movie. Loki (the series) blew my mind & got me so curious, but now this just has me lost. Ever since the multiverse was introduced in Spider-Man I was worried as to where the MCU was going, well more so with the ending of Endgame. Like I’m trynna learn the connection, I thought the multiverse was for the expansion & new era of the MCU. I was like okay more super heroes but with this I’m like what’s the point? All the movies are interconnected some how but i can’t find the connection with this one
Movie was great never heard of this group but I enjoyed each and every celestial especially Kingo and his valet Karun who were the most hilarious of the group
IKAROS was the best eternal!!! I realy enjoyed the powerful Ikaros and i am real sad that he killed himself!!! Ikaros saved the world!!! He could easily kill all the eternals and he could easily kill the woman he loves in the end of the movie! He could destroy earth but he change his mine at the end because he could not kill the woman he loves!!! What a great caracter!!! i love Ikaros and i will watch again and again that movie just because of Ikaros!!!
This movie was banned in the middle East for the rEpReSneTiON of gy characters but all I'm told by Hollywood is how America is the country full of bigots. I'm going to see Dune this weekend instead
Nice Research!! but what i think, Celestial will create a Character to defeat the Eternals together with Black knight and Blade, and then the Avengers will Come and to save the day! 😄
Waking up an ancient giant inside the earth that can destroy humanity… wasn’t that the end of Cabin the Woods… and one of the Transformers movies (Earth is really Unicorn)
I wonder if Disney made Chloe Zhao win that Oscar just so they could promote ETERNALS Don't get me wrong, I think she deserved, but if she hadn't been pitched to direct ETERNALS Would she still have won?

It would be easy to have Khonshu and the creator of the Ebony Blade, know each other.
Or, any of the Marvel Disney+ shows?
i really like how they put Mesopotamia in this movie, i havent saw it anymore but in my social studies class.
I hope we see Ikaris again
I hope so. I think he might not be dead. He might be sleeping in the sun and absorbing its energy. 😁
In the comics all them are supposed to be in mass suicide after they learn their true mission and be reborn.

He didn't. Thanos' brother appeared.

I kinda love the Eternals despite its low reviews, did enjoy every bit of it
The only off thing I got is its less reference for other MCU movies....

He plants his seeds to expand himself and conquer said universe. Not to make a new celestial to expand the universe

4:42 lmfao 😂😂😂 not gonna lie, you had me roaring with laughter at this one.
nice misdirection.
He was the best character with some actual development
In the comics he is the prime eternal and the leader soo I hope he returns and takes the lead
Star Fox is going to be crucial in the MCU later on, especially since we know that Adam Warlock is going to be involved later on
The movie is top notch! The best time spend in a movie in my life 🍪🙌🍪
You must have a sad life
It was really entertaining. I enjoyed it
I almost sense that Galactus could show up, but sadly no show yet.
"Why didn't you interfere in any other conflicts?"
"Told not to"
Ok whatever you need to tell yourself for weakass writing.
@@savonlofton ajak literally said it. Thanos snap delays the emergence.

I really expected the eternals to be more “powerful” … just didnt seem to tuff compared to certain avengers.
as explained in the movie, the eternals are basically robots. synthetic life forms created to help with the emergence of the celestials. and they failed at that.
