Editor’s Comment: Jesus did not suffer on the cross! He did not die! He was actually demonstrating to the world that suffering and death are not real. I was taught not only that Jesus died, but that the reason he died was for my sins. What a losing proposition. This video, however, teaches what Jesus was teaching: that by changing my thoughts I can transcend suffering and death. What a joyful, healing message. Watch it and be glad.
How Did Jesus Not Suffer? To the ego, it looked as if Jesus was suffering on the cross with nails in his hands and feet. Why do we see this event as suffering? Because the ego made up suffering. And, when we see suffering, we are looking with the ego. It made up the appearance of the body, the nails, and the cross. It made up an innocent lamb and the judgement cast upon it. Yet these are all mere concepts, mere duality.
The mind that has healed of all concepts rests in a freed perspective or state of Christ, resides in non-duality. This state has no guilt; therefore, it can not experience pain. This state of mind is free from all concepts. It is aware of the unreality of concepts. It simply is and all things are appearing in awareness.
Emptying our minds of all concepts such as pain, pleasure, and attack is our entryway into knowing our True Self. As the Buddhists have spoke about for centuries, we empty our minds. This is the same for “good” things and “bad” things alike. This labeling keeps us searching the world for some things and avoiding the rest. Believing in a world of opposites, keeps us in duality, keeps the guilt buried in the subconscious. Once we raise all these beliefs into awareness, and question their seeming reality, then we are free.

All my life before ACIM and David, I've been carrying guilt and shame for not having the "drive" in the world. Even in school as a kid they would ask me why I rebel and why can't I be normal, like all the rest. I didn't know :D Everything just seemed so off somehow. Never been on any job for too long, they all just felt totally meaningless. Of course I did try out that self-development route but pretty soon all the ambition was out of the window. The thinking was, when I get my economics in check with the magic, then I could retire to my true desire, the mysticism. Nice shot ego, almost got me there :D Now I just want to rely on Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Thanks for making this fun David!
