Crossbows will be rendered illegal weapons very soon both to buy and own, they don't want a population that could defend themselves against all these dystopian regulations and the police state we are heading towards but getting tooled up seems a logical route to go down nowadays. All the best to you and say hi to Darren for me.
Yes . I watch a video of a guy who apparently was going to assassinate the Queen with a crossbow with no sights on. I would ask everybody note where the sun and hence shadow should have been at 2pm on the 29/11/19 over London Bridge. Then go back and look at the photos of the "terrorist knife attack " It's so easy to see the lies.
in what country will they be illegal mate ?
You're right in canada they are trying to disarm our nation too (for all responsible owners )
@@regagrey3680 I bet it was staged as an excuse to disarm brits

Nice toys 😊
I'd like to drop by and check out the bows, but I'm in Idaho USA 🇺🇸 😎
This may be off poin however I have noticed that crossbows seem to be selling faster than ever according to the limited numbers on Amazon.
I'm currently working on acquiring a few items that I have taken an interest in recently. We have a fare amount of Yard Food here. This is to say that I usually have 2 or more deer 🦌 walking through my yard per day and sometimes during the warmer weather 6 ÷ across the alley in the neighbors yard eating apples, apricots and the garden.
One thing I am looking into is fishing 🎣 with a pistol crossbow I have. It's 150 lbs draw weight. Lucky we can still have the AR s and the other loud stuff ,
For now. 🤔
Thanks for the video 👍
Got 37 .....home made and shop bought .....😊
Great show
Get the one with the magazine if your going to get it 5 bolts at a time it holds
Can you shoot 16 inch arrows? Since 15 is not common. And can there also be different arrows be used then jus from ek archery?
When SHTF happens your crossbow could save your life😊
Very true, mate. I just bought one today before it's too late. Allso bought a srk knife from cold steel because I guess they will be banned soon too
Been browsing the store online , great products and great prices. Will be purchasing some items soon,
I got the R9 ...RX ...AND ADDER ..all great kit and very easy to use
how is the maintenance
@@andybriars9713 very easy .. everything you need comes in the box .. the only thing I had difficulty getting was the replacement battery for red dot sight ..
@@andybriars9713 ive also sanded and spray painted them in camo paint and they look great 👍
@paulmorgan3600 what kind of battery? Also what kind of scope is a better upgrade? Stock one looks borderline
Can the adder be used without the magazine? And was also wondering if I could use 15 inch bolts with the r9?
The cocking arm is too long is there any way to shorten it? Looks aesthetically ugly to me but seems to function perfectly.
Hi all I'm new to the crossbow and need a range I'm in Yorkshire Scarborough
I have a question. Quality wise is the adder the way to go for a repeat crossbow? I am concerned about rate of fire and ease of reload
I’ve put a few hundred shots thru mine, and the original string remains in great shape. I’ve had no misdeeds or other malfunctions.
The adder, can you use long arrows in the mag?
There is a specific blot(arrow) for the magazine.
I see the 90lb comes with short bolts can the 15" bolts be used for this also with no problem.
They will work as well.
If I had a cobra r9 , could I purchase the magazine separately that goes onto the cobra adder and it would work ? Or is it a slightly different design ?
should be no problem
No,it's unique to the adder unless you're able to make/modify
Do you know if I can shoot the 15”R9 arrows through the adder? Obviously loading individually?
I’ve never tried it but I can’t see why not.
Yes, that is possible. Just lift the dry-fire dafety, cock it and insert the arrow from the front between the magazine and the rail.
The adder needs shorter bolts, only with the magazine. They all fire longer bolts.
Correct Tim, when buying the bows i was just pointing out which bolts come with the kits. Many thanks for watching.
You can check out the UA-camr "Andy Solutions". He has designed an open magazine for the Adder, with which you can also shoot the long bolts. He also sells these crossbows, but probably only in small numbers and on request. But he also ships it to England and the USA as far as I know. Best regards from Germany
I REALLY LIKE YOUR STORE MATE ,IS IT VERY EXPENSIVE TO SHIP TO LOUISIANA IN THE USA ?
Yes shipping would be expensive I’d say.
Great vid what other arrows are available to use with the RX as the Adder version can only use one type of bolt which are very expensive to buy as extra ones .will the RX fire a a variety of different maybe cheaper alternatives ? am looking to buy the RX
You can get the standard arrow head straight round point or the broadhead type.
The R9 or RX will take standard 15" bolts with 100 or 125 gr. tips, either the standard Field Tips, Bullet Tips, Bodkins or Hunting Broadheads. The Adder will only accept 7.5" bolts but there are quality alternatives to the rather pricey EK Archery originals.
the adder only fires one type of bolt? That's news to me, I hope you're wrong, I've gone and bought all sorts of bolts, broadheads, bodkins ... I think you can even shoot long bolts without the mag. I see no reason why I can't fire 7.5 inch bolts with any head on in the mag, as long as only 2 vanes
@@samdunn717only the ones of joerg sprave
whats it like repairing these things? how often do strings degrade etc
Strings should be changed every 12 months with regular use or when they start to fray. Easy to change.
With the Adder 7-shot, why would you want the other single shot crossbows?
I personally like the more powerful recurve bows. I have a R9 90lb a 175lb recurve and a 210lb compound to cover all bases.
The magazine and red dot scope mount introduce slight inaccuracies so the Adder is really not that useful for longer distances. If you want the best-possible precision, a single-shot crossbow is the way to go.
@@svenschwingel8632 I don't hunt. I see repeating crossbows as the best home defense weapon for those countries where you can't own a gun.
@@SciD1 I don't hunt either - at least not yet. But with food shortages and skyrocketing prices on the horizon, I wouldn't dare to say that my current attitude is set in stone either :)
Back to topic: my Adder is great for medium distances, no doubt about it. It is easy to handle after a bit of practice, although the magazine makes maintenance a bit harder, especially applying the rail lube - although the magazine can be disassembled easily. It's also fun to shoot with and allows for a natural firing position with the AR-15 stock. But it has its slight disadvantages due to design compromises with the integration of the magazine, one being that the grouping of multiple bolts might be larger than expected. It is not a sniper crossbow so if accuracy over distance is a key component of your personal home defense strategy, having an additional RX (or, even better, a Siege 300) might be worth a thought or two.
The question is: what range do you personally prefer for defense?
@@svenschwingel8632 the range needed for home defense is very well covered by the Adder. The majority of situations happen at close range, either in the house, or in the yard.
Can they be fitted with a bigger limbs?/ Heavier draw ?
My Jaguar crossbows 140lb out the box, Its hard work to cock it but by heck! Worth the effort. Trouble is making something to shoot that actually catches the bolts, They go straight through wet bags of sand unless you double up or shot them long ways.
Actually, you can build a power upgrade yourself by attaching and connecting a second limb to the original. If you combine the 130 lbs RX bow with a 90 lbs limb behind it, you can greatly increase the draw weight and therefore the energy stored. But the powerstroke remains limited to 7.5 inches which would make it difficult to transfer the excess energy into the bolt.
There is now a 190ib limb available as standard. And it isn't much harder to cock due to its design with amazing materials.
Buy a 3d printer and the .stl files for the adderini. Learn how 3d printing works. If you can afford a crossbow, you can afford a 3d printer and a bunch of filament to last you a year.
The adderini is a crossbow designed by Joerg Sprave. Depending on what filament you use, you can use up to 130lbs crossbow pistol bows on the Adderini. Its a self repeating crossbow that holds 6 bolts. You can also print out speedloaders.
Would that small one peirce a motorbike theif on my driveway from the house ?
Yea, no problem 👍
Hi. When will you be restocking the underlever style bows?
Very soon I hope. I have the R9 in stock but the RX and adder should be in stock soon.
Thanks I fancy the EK Archery Cobra RX Adder. I'll keep an eye on the shop. Feel free to message if you like when they're in or due.
Is it true there banning crossbows from next year
My Cobra R9 won’t fire. How do I fix this problem?
Not sure without looking at it. Sometimes they won’t fire if you haven’t cocked it all the way forward until it clicks. Try that
are these bows same powerful like medieval crossbows?
Less draw weight by quite a bit but that isn't everything... so they end up more powerful.
would this bow be any good for hunting small game or hunting at all?
It would be but it’s illegal to hunt with a bow in the UK
@@TheBugOutShop fortunately I’m from The Netherlands where its legal to hunt and kill pest/prey on your own property.
@@035gogmofo6 yes good for small game
There are videos from South Africa where hunters use the standard RX with Broadheads to bring down Boars and Antilopes. So yes, it is possible.
man with crossbow shop urges panic buying of crossbows!!!, love it!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Really
Do you have the X-Bow Supersonic crossbows?
I dont stock these yet but they sure look the bees knees.
@@TheBugOutShop There is a REV model that clocks a velocity of 420fps. It's also narrower than the standard Supersonic and has reverse limbs. Hence the name REV. I am speaking to a guy in Germany and one in Latvia who makes magazines for them. This combo is going to rock!!!
I have a supersonic i think theres a few vids on my page if you want a look, problem with fma is getting parts, its nye on impossible, and a lot of places are keeping low stock for the impending ban, its not like it used to be, i would say buy one but get parts with it. The fma is a far superior bow to any ive ever used.
@@WhySoSerious551 I ordered my Supersonic REV this past weekend. I've been watching a German guy on YT (Andy) who makes 7-8 bolt magazines for the Supersonic (he's branded his x-bows as the "Mamba"). There is apparently a big backlog on these crossbows. Perhaps that's why there are not many spares to go around. But, this will change as they catch on. His videos certainly helped me make up my mind on which bow to go for. After days of research, the EK Archery x-bows just didn't cut the mustard! Too bulky, has a huge cocking cycle to reload and has too many parts.
His channel is called: Andy's Solutions. If you want a good laugh, Andy shows you how he can cock, shoot a Supersonic (Mamba) and hold off an attacker using one arm. When you find his channel, look for his video: "MP5 Mamba - Supersonic Next Gen". It's awesome!
Prices for these little x-bows are a little crazy at the moment. I have decided I need to learn how to make bowstrings to make DIY replacement strings. I exchanged emails with Andy. He's looking at +/- 400 Euros for the magazine components alone and +/- 700 Euro upwards for a Mamba with a magazine. He clearly does put a lot of work into his accessories, but, phew, he knows how to charge an arm and a leg! This is all before Shipping and any Customs Duties. Therefore, I am going to attempt a DIY magazine too. There may be a little learning involved wrto. welding. However, to avoid getting stung by Andy's prices, it will be well worth it.
Cheers bud!
This crossbow looks great, do you post out to customers?
Yes we post to uk customers
THE Ek Archery Cobra Adder is a better option. It's the same as the RX but with a 5 shot magazine which auto-loads the bolts when you cock it.
Nice
I have a bow and a bunch of other weapons. I am not mad I just got them all free however, I want a crossbow because they have been speaking about banning them since 2019
Safety, long cocking arm, requiring full extension so magazine doesn’t jam…. A lot of factors. What is the average firing rate for the RX? Like 7 seconds per shot?
Yeh just a few seconds per shot. There are videos showing this on UA-cam
I own a Cobra RX Adder and was - being a rather mediocre operator - able to fire all 7 bolts within 30 seconds after a bit of training. At the expense of some accuracy, that is. It's not the best tool for dynamic IPSC shooting, but it can be really useful for medium ranges. For close-quarters, its 130 lbs bow can be a bit of a disadvantage so I'd rather choose a magazine pistol crossbow like the Steambow Stinger 2 with a 50 lbs bow. Alternatively, there's the Fenris system which turns a standard bow into a fast-fire magazine bow that can launch arrows every 2 seconds :)
@@svenschwingel8632 If your talking speed but not great accuracy a fenris can discharge in .9 of a second between shots.
@@petersneddon1579 true that. It also depends a bit on your chosen draw weight.
@@svenschwingel8632 I agree. I have both the adder and stinger 2….the stinger is good 10-15 feet quick fire strong penetration. The adder though if you get just one shot with an edgetac bolt….your enemy is finished no matter where the bolt hits him.

Price start from £124.99
Anyone know of any options for hunting tips or broadheads for the rx ?

Where’s your shop mate
Builth Wells
Do you still sell them ? Xx thanks
There’s a few crossbows left available with more coming next week
Where are you based please ? Just subbed
Mid Wales
Thanks for your support
No problem, my pleasure. Like your detailed content. Will you have any of the self loading crossbows in stock any time soon ?
Theres really no point in "Getting them while you can" because the crossbows require maintenance and replacements, when you need a replacement and such, and the shit is banned/illegal youre just going to be stuck with junk that doesnt work anymore.
I agree with you on that statement but I think only an idiot who doesn't understand maintenance would toss their crossbow just because the upkeep is a little bit too hard
You will have to hand them in. so no point buying unless you are prepared to defy the law.
@@Bob-bo8ik that’s the plan
@@TheBugOutShop💪fr ain’t no way
They can "ban" what they want, I won't stop me owning WHATEVER I want. No authority over me anyhow. I hurt no-one unless they hurt me first. I followed God's laws, not stupid ones made by stupid people who think they know better.
Also you could make your own if pushed came to shove
You shoot a bow not fire .
Pedantic much
It's truly sad ya'll are stuck in medieval tech for self defense... crazy shyt
Yep! But the native English (what’s left of us) have always been the underdog to ‘elite’ ruling classes. The fairytale told by the media has deceived many.
Sure is... but by that logic you could say you are stuck with late16th century tech to defend your end.
These are a lot more advanced than medieval times. Just the principle. Like wise with fire arms.
What's worse is actually by law we are not allowed to defend ourselves in the UK in terms of owning a weapon for the purposes of self defence. We have to own it for other reasons.
I suppose you have a gun Jason. Luckily enough it's not really needed over here very often we like to fight mostly with our fists. You cowards over there wouldn't risk that running around shooting each other from a distance of safety. How cowardly and progressive you are congratulations.
Why? Guns are legal here.
Yes they are and many have them but crossbows can be purchased without any certificates and registration. (at the moment)
@@TheBugOutShop more guns are bought second hand here in Texas then across the counter retail. I also mill out my own lowers. None of my AR's are on paper anywhere.
@@Lovenlife139 Thats sounds awesome but not an option here in the UK.
