- In this two-parts video I'm showing some techniques i've experimented with very basic equipment, mostly just few brushes and some paints. I did not even get an airbrush breath on this project.
Purpose of this WIP video was not to make a tutorial but just to have some fun painting some relaxing Ma.K model. just hoping this could be useful for your inspiration guys.
The model i'm showing here doesn't exist in maschinen Krieger saga and is an hybrid i made between two old 1/20 scale Ma.K Nitto injection plastic kits (the Jerry and the Raccoon).
I've build these two models separately about ten years ago and recently i finally decided to finished them but i did not imagined to end this way, sorry about that Yokohama san ^_^
PART TWO SOON!!
Below the description of the project.

Many thanks to Yokoyama san for creating such beautiful series and a great THANKS to Francesco Reggiani aka "PHONOREM" for these beautiful beats which match beautifully the video and my expectations. I had no doubt.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Most of you guys probably already know about japanese Mecha-designer Kow Yokoyama and his amazing
saga, I believe, but if some of you don’t, i would kindly suggest to google “Maschinen Krieger”, or “SF3D”,
or again “MA.K ZbV 3000”, and you’ll discover one of the coolest sci-fi things ever made.
I’ve always been a fan of Ma.K models and I had these two models already buildt in my cabinet for
almost ten years, waiting for some inspiration, to get them finished and painted up.
Some months ago, resetting my studio, i’ve watched at them again and i felt that they would have been
some cool painting projects. This time I’ve decided to melt these two glorious 1/20 scale old Nitto plastic kits
(”Jerry” and “Raccoon”) to create an hybrid unit (something like the “Goblin” but taller and with arms.
Just some fast saw job on plastic and some epoxy putty to reshape surfaces (successively treated with
heavy texture to simulate rough metal) were necessary. I just had lot of fun, also because i experimented
some techniques. THIS IS NOT A TUTORIAL actually, but just a try to show how i painted and weathered
these kits. I enjoyed this project so much for this reason, painting was completely free and without using
airbrush at all. The whole model was painted assembled (except for back engine) with Tamiya acrylics for
pink tones (flat white + red), Lifecolor “Dust and Rust” set for rust and Ammo Mig washing products and oils
for weathering.
I hope you enjoy and....THANKS FOR WATCHING!

It's been 8 years i had been following all your work and finally you showed me your paint scheme and tricks. I am very honored.. thank you and keep up the good work Luca!!
Thank you so much! I really appreciated, sorry if process has been slow, but i can reserve a little time at the evening for these video editing and there's still so much to learn , please be patience and i'll improve skills and timing! Thank you!
I’m so glad I found this video by accident. Now I now I can fell confident about trying to brush my tamiya paints. I only airbrush with them because they don’t look brushable and didn’t even know about that tamiya flat base. Thank!
Awesome model Luca! If you haven't gotten a hold of his current book ABAKAN 2288, I highly suggest you get it! An awesome book all the way through! And I have the M.A.K. BD book as well for Machinen Krieger! Both are well worth owning! I'll be using some of these techniques as I like to hand paint mostly! Base coating with airbrush or even spray can is usually how I start it off
Really nice work! It looks like it walked right out of Yokoyama-san's sketchbook!
It has!!!😂
That new workbench seems to pay off for everybody :D
This vid shows so much more than pictures and words. Very, very cool!
Always the first! Thank you for such an attention man! Glad you liked!
I think, but your work is really always splendid.
Niiiice
Thanks Giacoo!!!Glad you like it Sir!
Its awesome, you made a pink duck look BAD ASS!
:D hahaha
Awesome!
Without paint it looks amazing too!!!
MASTER!
This screams Metal Slug.
Excellent!.. May I suggest a little thing; can you make the subtitles positioned a little bit higher and bolder? UA-cam's buttons are getting in the way when video is paused. And since your videos are worth watching in pauses to grasp the details.
Thanks
yeah, i know, i tried to not put too many subtitles, so they get longer and smaller at the same time :) , i'll try to do better in next one! Thanks for feedback
Wich paintbrush did you use for the bright pink?
Is it important yo have a flat base on acrylic to have it fades of before the paint dries?
excellent video!
Glad you liked, thanks!
Amazing works always. Was wondering how you painted this built. Now I know. Looking forward for the next one.Is that a go pro you are using Luca?
Thank you! Glad you like! Yes it is.
where can i get the torso
Cool mod built but, the black on pink looks like you just grabed it with gloves that had black paint on them.
Try to do better and show to us!
Base rugginosa solo a pigmenti ? :-)
Il pigmento va bene come trattamento finale, il pigmento si mischia al colore quando lo dai a pennello e in ogni caso non rende la superficie resistente per passaggi successivi
Sono acrilici... pensavo pigmenti
paint bad
jerry really let himself go...
:D
