Hi everyone! We are happy to announce our very first original software synthesizer. www.arturia.com/products/analog-classics/pigments/overview#en You can download the preview for free, and get a special deal 👍
Do you know what would be awesome? Getting the sound designers of the preset patches to do UA-cam tutorials for this synth. If there's budget for it, it would be some pretty potent marketing. Then you could create links in the synth-patch notes to the official Arturia published tutorial of that patch on UA-cam. That would be extremely valuable as a modern soft synth owner.
Funny I have to be honest. I downloaded this, was blown away by the UI, stuck it next to serum to compare sounds. Wanted to love it but Serum could just get a better supersaw, which is a good test for me, or so I thought.. The tones I have been getting out of this synth, all the inbetween tones, are just amazing. It doesn't scream like serum, but it fills up the mix with the most beautiful and unique sounds. It does exactly what serum doesn't, it gives you amazing sounds that just slot in. The arpeggiator is a dream, the effects are fantastic too. Funnily another thing I didn't like was how you couldn't drop and drag the envelopes as easily as you can in Serum, but then something happened. I started throwing the envelopes and LFOs on much more parametres than I usually would and started getting even more creative. This synth really is a rabbit hole, and it feels great every part of the journey. Is it Serum? No, why should it be, I have a minimoog & a novation peak and I still find myself reaching for Serum on occasion, but this synth fills a useful hole in any inquisitive musicians collection. 10/10 from me.
same feeling here ! Pigments sounds a lot more "analog" imo, it's softer, in a good way, and you can tweak easily a lot of things. Tested some growls, they are interesting, yet very diffrent from Serum growl
I have learned a lot about synthesizers just from experimenting on Pigments. The visual feedback is particularly helpful for learning, but also for quickly seeing which parameters are being modulated by which source etc!
Just bought it at a great price thanks to the cross grade offer for owners of the VST collection. (Which I recently bought and having a ball with) loving the synth so far. It’s perfectly designed for monitors without making me permanently wish it was hardware and is the VST version of Civilisation’s - ‘just one more turn’ or in this case ‘just one more tweak!’ So good to program and lots of inspiring presets too. Bought the key step this week as well - I’m getting to be a bit of an Arturia fanboy!
We are glad you appreciate Pigments, and the V Collection! If you have feedbacks to provide, we would be happy to read it on our forum 👍 Have a good day
Just been using this along with the Arturia Keylab MKII and to say it is inspiring would be an understatement! I could easily spend hours, days, weeks with this! Unfortunately I also need to pay the bills so back to reality...for now ;) Top job Arturia!
Thank you for the integration with Keylab! So far Arturia has been kicking Native Instruments' ass (all those NKS nonsense). So glad I switched to Keylab MK2. Merci beaucoup.
Everything from Arturia is Just Awe Awesome! From Hardware To Software! Everything. I like. The Keylab Mk II and V Collection sounds amazing. Pigments seems to follow same legacy. No doubt i will own it for sure. But Arturia.. when will you give my Keylab MK II to map My Logic Pro X. It can't synchronize my DAW from beginning.
This looks very nice but I was hoping this video would show the synth in a bit more detail. Also, please can we have an Arturia delay and reverb. Awesomeness!
I am really astonished by this synth's possibilities! You 've made a really great AND devoted job, guys. Pigments is a historical instrument both filterwise and Inspirationally... As for the GUI -- I would prefer much more drag and drop possibilities (for ex. filter order swipe is okay/Sample order is not)
Please, add an ability to control the knobs with the mouse-wheel - just hover over the knob with the mouse and without pressing any buttons just use the mouse-wheel. And hold ctrl- for a diminishing multiplier and shift- for an augmenting modifier.

Some Arturia patchable pedals for the Minibrute's Microbrute and Drumbrute would've been very nice, kinda like the moogerfooger's or dreadbox ones but half the price
First Massive X, now Pigments! Bruh 2019 can't come sooner. EDIT: I just realized this was already released. I'm dumb lmao. Now I'm just waiting for Massive X.
Thx a lot 4 your answer sachtjen101 :) Personally I'm staying away from demo products, so I will not install it. Just wish that Arturia could be more upright with this in their announcements. Serial number and unlock code for SHAREWARE, pff?! Reminds me of the mid 90's when shareware came along and pretended to be freeware ;D Well Arturia called their Spark a drum machine even though it's NOT, so unfortunately I'm not to surprised .
@@t11musicse nonetheless, $99 is a great price for a powerful and flexible synth that sounds great. i will be buying it for $99 shortly. i have the demo and am already satisfied.
I don't know what do you mean for sounds better but i can hear glitches, pops and clicks even in this crappy demo, the same happens in Serum, they both have a terrible wavetable engine only good for "roar" sounds.
How much will it cost? Will it be in V Collection? When can we get it? Will there be a demo? Will the demo be the normal restrictions? They should have had all this info ready to go at the same time as putting the page up on arturia.com.
Price: $199 / 199€ - Pigments will be available to experience for free for a full month after its release. Users wishing to buy Pigments during this promotional month will be able to purchase it for only $149 / 149€. Exclusive deals will be available for existing Arturia customers and V Collection owners.
@@NaturalTribulation I see the demo in fact has new restrictions compared to their v collection demos. Instead of working for a set number of minutes then going silent but letting you use it for ever, this one will be a 30 day demo only.
Not super descriptive, looking forward to getting some solid info... So far, just marketing fluff. Kind of a let down after the "it's coming" precursor video.
Michael Ferreira there are already several in depth videos about it. Watch Once Upon A Synth’s video. He has been beta testing it for a while apparently
@@ArturiaOfficial too late. i'm trying it out already. feels very promising. wish the video could have shown the highlights off what i'm experiencing right now. try to make teasers which makes us drool. with this instrument, you certainly could. cheers
Sounds decent, but the UI is the incredibly visually boring. It's not "flat" and it's not realistic looking, it just looks bad. Like a programmer designed it.
It's like your website was built in 1995 so I have to come to youtube to find a video on it and then this video does absolutely nothing to convince me. What a waste of time that was.

Arturia am in love with all about this company!
Does it support NKS like the rest of your products? Trying to get it to show up on my maschine and not seeing it at the moment

Andrew Huang was using this on his last video (Shaping Sound)
That does sound nice. For sure.
99eur if you own Arturia products. Good price. Awesome!

Can anyone send me the link to the free demo? I can't seem to find it anywhere
Can you load your own wavetables?
