Today, I finally recieved an LPS that stirred quite some contreversy. Firstly, it cost $100 dollars. And it might be fake. Oof indeed. 😳

Oh, she's definitely authentic! Don't worry Splash 😉 You can also kind of tell by the way she moves the head, the fakes are usually very stiff and don't bobble the same as authentic ones. 😊
Yes! 😇 Her bobble movement feels pretty normal; and for just the quality in general, she's definitely at Hasbro standard. I'm glad she's real! 😂

DEFINITELY. 😂 I honestly just feel like authentic collies are so hard to find on eBay nowadays though, and they're very expensive. However, there's plenty of fakes! I'm not surprised they're so popular now! 😬

Hey Splash!
I can confirm that your collie is 100% authentic! LPS that have numbers above #1500 (if I'm not mistaken and remember correctly) have white pegs.
Fake LPS fail in doing glossy eyes, they're always matte or barely shiny and don't have a smooth texture. Yours are smooth and really glossy.
Fake LPS also have a round circle around the hole in the paw and yours doesn't. Another sign that yours is authentic.
Fake LPS don't have that ring around the head mechanism and have a smooth bottom, yours has a ring.
Fake LPS collies are usually deformed, they stand on 3 legs and have a very visible line on their right front paw. Yours stands just fine and doesn't such a visible line.
These are the sign that a simple person can notice and tell whether their LPS is real or fake c:
Also here's some advice for the next time you go ebay shopping:
1) Try searching for a specific LPS number and search for "Newly listed" or "Price: Highest to Lowest" this way you'll be finding more authentic ones and the further you go, you find less expensive authentic LPS.
2) Try looking for lots
3) Try misspelling words and keywords
It's only a few, but these help me find good deals! Spend your money wisely, Mr. Splash ;)

I just ordered my cocker spaniel and I thought she was fake. She hasn't arrived yet. She will on Saturday, November 17th. But in the pictures, she is #960 and she has a clear peg. She also had that ring on the bottom of the head. Phew! This really helped!

That actually changes depending on what type of LPS they are! The collies necks are supposed to be closed up. 😊

I got the same collie but idk if it's fake, it has a white peg, and it bobbles really well
also the lps mark is normaly there if it is real and from that g that she is from, I think all of my 100 lps has the lps mark and many of them got the white thingy, I wouldn't worry too much she looks really real to me

Some real lps have white pegs I am pretty sure she is real because the fake ones have faded ang lopsided eyes and the bottom of her head has a ring that sticks out like real lps

Splash,.. some lps that are authentic have whiteish pegs. For exzample,... I bought one lps in stores along time ago and had whiteish peg! It is not fake splash!
