Raw emotion right there. Can't learn that, that's the part you're born with and the part that means something. Not all the fancy, flashy licks. Dave does it right.
I have been going through a lot lately and I have been holding it in. This song touched me deep in my soul and I cried throughout the song and some time after. Thank you Dave. You have a way of speaking to the hearts of your fans. I feel a lot better now. Thank you again. Love and Peace to you always.
A truly masterful performance Dave, just exquisite, I’m sure Queenie will be touched with this beautiful dedication to her. Stunning piece of music and a phenomenal guitar, wish you could’ve bought it 🎸👍🏼✌🏼
I missed my guitar in the late 80's. I went into a guitar shop to try a rat, not what I was looking for, but they gave me a beaten up all white strat that I should have walked out with. This reminded me of that. You're a delight to watch and listen too.
Just picked up a white 1995 fender stratocaster "squier series" mim (1 previous owner)! I have a 1994 fender stratocaster "squier series" neck that I got from a friend in 2002 that I have used on various guitars over the years. both necks are maple with a rosewood over lay. absolutely stunning playability! your playing is always tops! thank you so much! sidenote: some of our brains just won't slow down, and music is a great way to get the brain to chill. love! -TF "music expresses that which cannot be said"-Victor Hugo
Oh my gravy - Your playing is SOOOOOOO awesome. My father-in-law passed away recently and this just made me (cathartically) cry lots ... If ever you think of guitar lessons, I'll pay lots xxxxxx
Once again absolutely beautiful dave I didn't know there was such a strat I know she loved this you are lucky to have each other in your lives take care
When is early morning and you can't sleep nothing better than listening Dave dedicating a song to Queenie , this playing and song it feels like magic , love is beautiful . That guitar it loooks great , the price is no words but the hands and the heart of who plays it have no comparison . Thank you once more for playing beautifully that it feels almost magical in simplicity but enormous in feeling
Instruments like that happily recede into the background and let the playing come into the fore - so much so that a broken high e string just folds into the mix inspiring something else!
May you live long and produce this type of glorious music to make us feel we are glad to be alive and we have the privilege to hear this great music that puts goosebumps on our skin and brings tears to our eyes. May you live long and healthy and keep producing this type of music. This little ditty touched my soul and heart. Please live as long as possible and spread these words of music as others spread the words of God.
Hi Dave from the Philippines . Just want to say you're the very best of all the reviewers . Amazing talent. Fun to watch and especially listen to your playing
True, a good sounding guitar is a good guitar. We still talk about certain ones we should have bought that we played in the past. If my knees are shaking after playing one, I know it is a good one!
Hi dave,i have seen a lot of your videos and even tho your explanations are clear as crystal,my brain is not wired to compute whats said, however, watching how you do things gives me ideas to try myself,im an old git with arthritis in my hands among other places and some days the fingers do not want to play. Watching your playing makes me want to pick the axe up and noodle for a while, completely nonsensical rubbish but,it frees the fingers up a little. Wife passed away in feb so have a lot of 'spare' time that needs filling and the guitar is one of my distractions. I know you are a very talented player, and many high level artists could learn from your attitude towards life and its troubles. You keep doing what makes you feel good, music is meant for sharing, but health and wellbeing is personal and without that we will have less of your music to enjoy. And as for breaking the e, a friend of mine let me use his 60's blonde tele, first real and proper fender id touched,he said go on have a play,i did for about three mins and broke the e! Theres a strange feeling that goes through you when it happens, its like you've hurt the guitar and caused it pain. I know you have a feeling for all your guitars, and if they 'talk to you' do you feel this too!? All the best for whatever you decide, one a week, one a month, dont care as long as there's one! Del.
Well deserved, Cici. He is one of todays guitarists. The stories he tells through his playing are so full of feelings. Dave, I would name you in a line with Neil Young and Uli Roth. And I don't care if you break a string.
Ooo they start off polar white but they go polar bear's a...e white pretty quickly. Loved the stroll and the trains ',tother day. Queenie sure deserves a tune, and lovely it is. Special sounds off that. ❤
Oh yeah! I could hear it right from the very first notes 🎵. That really is a special guitar 🎸. I would buy it if I could. I hope Queenie ❤️🔥 enjoyed this as much as I did. More please 🙏. 👍☮️🌞🎸🎵🩵
Oh my giddy aunt, who’s probably now swimming in good gravy. That guitar is glorious, looks and sounds heavenly. Well it does in your hands. Thank you for improving my day massively 🙂
What a beautiful guitar! and Dave if your reading this i just want you to know that i love everything you upload and u are a big inspiration to me, you have helped me thru alot, and everytime i see your videos you inspire me to pick up the guitar. You deserve the best in this world!❤
I feel good for you dave I'm a 21yro guitarist from persia in style of you (strat player jimi h.john f. style) but dave my life is destroying me Loneliness is killing me i feel like im a invisible nobody see me have no friends or gf never ever leave home just dark room this days it's just me my strat & drugs heavily addicted to opium morphine don't know if I am alive tomorrow. I remember 3 years ago you were kinda experience what im saying i remember you make those songs like goodbye/remember/ and i could feel the pain that you haved but I'm very happy to se you doing well this days it's good for you to have friend like Queenie stay with him wish you best my friend love you.please wish me pray for me that i die one of these days or these lonely and dark days get over i can't take it anymore.sorry about my bad English🌹
Over the years and having tried all kinds of Strat variations I have come to the conclusion that I want a Strat to sound like a Strat and boy does this one do just that. Same goes for Tele's as well. The only trouble is that I can very rarely get even the best ones to sound proper. Just as well we have Dave to show us what I'm missing - I guess I was just born with the wrong fingers.
G Dave, This is by far my favourite piece of music you have done!!! Absolutely stunning. I play a little game to myself to guess the musical influence behind the sound. Its usually John F or Gilmore to my ears but this is completely different and unique. Maybe a little Prince- alike. LOVE IT.
Huge thanks as always Dave. Your videos are part of my routine. They expand my knowledge. They are informative and hugely entertaining. They show me what a great guitarist and musician you are. So so enjoyable. In my humble opinion you are the greatest ever. Forget the Hendrix's Clapton's, Green's. You have them all, all genres. What a fantastic guitar this one is. It can only be appreciated when it's in your hands and played by The Master that you are. The world of guitars is my therapy so thnx Dr Dave. Your words of wisdom resonate with me. In this vid and your vid collection. When you say that you don't care what the guitar is made of is spot on. Now I'll ignore all the mumbo jumbo and wait for your playing. ❤❤
Amazing as always Dave! Never knew these existed either. Sorry we couldn't catch you at the Chili's. Literally had a friend who said your the only person hes heard who sounds like John.
Holy great gravy Mr Dave! Beautiful, inspiring and well just piggin fab mate to be honest! Korina has that different feel and sound thats for sure. Woods show up instantly on acoustic but less to the listener on electric but to the player its an instant sound and feel. That said this has to be one one of the best Strats I have ever heard in my 62 years! and I have played and listend to many many guitars. Thaks Dave awesome playing my friend that guitar was smiling that day in your hands, you did it true justice.
Great playing Dave… really lifted my spirits !! Completely unrelated to the vid, need some help, assembling a board and just want to know in your experience, how much milliamps does the zoom G2.1.U need / draw ? Cheers ….
Beautiful and resonant. Touches the heart, when we're lost and can't find our way home, we all need that someone to lean on. For what is life? without music and that special person to share it with? to help us find our way. Or rock and support, as you say. (but I have to ask Dave, what is that 'Pigeony Bastard' sweatshirt about? It's an aside I know, but please tell me it ain't in support of the persecution of these beautiful birds. Maybe it's an 'in' thing? But you must be aware that people - like me - hang on your every word. There are people out here, who suffer, just like you, in all sorts of ways, for all sorts of reasons - mine just happens to be animal suffering)
???? Dave, special request. Could tou please do your interpretation of the solo from Natalie Merchant's Carnival. It would be super cool to see what you would do with that, if it's possible to avoid copyright strikes on your own interpretation! Otherwise, you're still sounding great!
Walnut, mahogany, and related variants, sound really good as bolt on bodies. Leo Fender made everything cheap for mass production. So alder, poplar, etc cheap lots he got his hands on weren’t some definitive tone wood for Fender pattern guitar bodies.
I'm wondering dave when Gibson going to change the inspired by Gibson bs..we all know now the solid body guitar was actually invented in the Epiphone factory in new York 1939 into 41...when it come to the Les Paul guitar it Rightfully should be Gibson inspired by Epiphone...
Great playing. 10:23 string break, quick tune, get on with playing from your heart. Great stuff. Cheers from Melbourne Australia.
This strat loved you too and it gave some some beautiful music back to us all. Thank you, Dave ❤
Raw emotion right there. Can't learn that, that's the part you're born with and the part that means something. Not all the fancy, flashy licks. Dave does it right.
i was having a crappy head day today but as always your music grabs ya by the balls and lifts ya above the mud. thanks Dave 🙏👍❤
Queenie is Your rock....You, are a lucky Man.....Look after each other and keep making beautiful music...!!!xx
Aww thank you 😊❤️💖
I have been going through a lot lately and I have been holding it in. This song touched me deep in my soul and I cried throughout the song and some time after. Thank you Dave. You have a way of speaking to the hearts of your fans. I feel a lot better now. Thank you again. Love and Peace to you always.
I’m happy to hear it helped. :)
A truly masterful performance Dave, just exquisite, I’m sure Queenie will be touched with this beautiful dedication to her. Stunning piece of music and a phenomenal guitar, wish you could’ve bought it 🎸👍🏼✌🏼
That was simply beautiful Mr. Dave, You are a wonderful composer and musician. Bravo 👏
I'd rather pay to watch Dave than any modern player , including the likes of Bonamassa , Mayer and the likes . He's incredible .
I missed my guitar in the late 80's. I went into a guitar shop to try a rat, not what I was looking for, but they gave me a beaten up all white strat that I should have walked out with. This reminded me of that.

Breaking the high E just made Dave play even better. His playing takes you to another dimension ❤
Once again absolutely beautiful dave I didn't know there was such a strat I know she loved this you are lucky to have each other in your lives take care
As always beautiful 😊. Dave you just DO IT 👍

Thanks. Magical playing. Took me to a safe place I have been before. Alleviated my depression temporarily. You da MAN! Soulful music.
Instruments like that happily recede into the background and let the playing come into the fore - so much so that a broken high e string just folds into the mix inspiring something else!
Just just marvelous Dave. Thanks so much. I sure Queenie loved it. What a thoughtful gift.

Really loving these short videos of you connecting and playing these amazing guitars 😁 ps I also like your long videos 👌🤘
Nothing compares to you, Dave.

The Gravy dripped off that guitar Dave! Really nice emotional playing man. The expression on your face at the end said it all!🎸🤘

Thanks or being my rock and helping me through my stupid brain patterns Dave!
Dave Simpson is the tastiest player that I have seen since I saw Simon Sewerage playing shit hot leads with the "Wee Wee on Mama Band" at Wembley.
The guitar was the Log you can see it at the country music hall of fame museum

Looked up awesome in the dictionary. There was a picture of Dave playing this guitar.
Wonderful playing Dave, Queenie is a lucky lady!
It's amazing what a new/different instrument can do for you. Thanks for another outstanding video.
really nicely done, Dave!
That neck pickup though superb
Very Cool, Thankyou. Such Stunning Guitar and Playing as always. Awesome. Cheers
This is the 3rd time watching this video stunning playing man
G Dave, This is by far my favourite piece of music you have done!!! Absolutely stunning. I play a little game to myself to guess the musical influence behind the sound. Its usually John F or Gilmore to my ears but this is completely different and unique. Maybe a little Prince- alike. LOVE IT.

Great playing Dave… really lifted my spirits !!
Completely unrelated to the vid, need some help, assembling a board and just want to know in your experience, how much milliamps does the zoom G2.1.U need / draw ?
Cheers ….
Bravo Bravo
To me thats the ultimate strat !
Thanks for that moment. would be nice also to know which amps u are using. Cheers
Fender deluxe reverb tone master.

Dave plays at 4:57 💌
Bet there was a lot of numbers on that price tag !
Nah, go for that Tele. If you've got forty grand spare!
HEy dave nice job man! 💪
Be great if you tubers told us the settings as the demo inspires us to recreate it. That was wonderful. Cant see how to emulate that.
I already have many videos showing you how i set my amps and pedals.
Is that the guitar that is featured in the latest issue of Guitarist magazine?
No idea. Sorry. It was at atb.
@@thedavesimpson yeah that must be the one. ATB mentioned in the article. Can't be that many korina Strats around
You have patches hanging on both sides of your head, and a bald spot in the middle.
Thanks for playing Rory.
Very observant of you.
I wish I would have went with the white strat instead of the 3 tone burst mine doesnt play like that ...
What is your string gauge of choice for strats? Great playing as always 👍🏻
10 - 46. :)
???? Dave, special request. Could tou please do your interpretation of the solo from Natalie Merchant's Carnival. It would be super cool to see what you would do with that, if it's possible to avoid copyright strikes on your own interpretation! Otherwise, you're still sounding great!
You can't beat an Olympic white Stender Fartocaster 😊

Hi 😊👋
Sounds fantastic. But £80k???
Is CiCi called Queenie after the Blackfoot song?
Nope. After Blackadder.
That makes more sense than what I thought, but it’s a great song all the same!
there two things ya guts to know about me i spin more rhythms than a lazy susan and im innocent till ma guiltys proven
Holy cow... That's an expensive guitar...
Seeing this it becomes obvious that high e strings are overrated. 😉
