Yamada Momen Factory in Aizu Wakamatsu, Fukushima

I wanted to capture the workings of the automated looms used at Yamada Momen. It is incredibly simple in function, but so complicated and inter-connected in design. Each cog turns another, each moving its own bit of the loom, each set to a precise timing... perfect clockwork, and all run by a single belt attached to a motor on the rafters of the workshop. Really cool!
