Jj has known Simon for more years compared to NOT knowing him. They met when they were around 11. Simon is now 29 so they have known each other for 18 years. Jj has known simon for 18 years and has NOT known him for 11 years.

Seeing this video really shows how old all of us are getting. Been watching them since 2014 and I have gone through this same experience after high school. Many of close friends just wither away... but luckily these two have known each other for years and see each other as blood brothers.
Gotta love the SDMN and all of us are gonna be here once they start using motorized wheelchairs to get around with their grandkids

Seeing the sidemen grow up makes me feel sad about growing up myself, started watching these guys in 2014 and now I’m 20 and things just no longer feel the same but I’m happy these guys are doing what’s best for them and what makes them happiest

These guys started out as enemies in 7th grade and are now one of the most well known duos in the internet. People always just see Simon as part of the sideman even though he is much close to JJ than anybody else. God bless both of them

That hug and the awkwardness after, this is friendship at the highest level. I remember me and my friends used to hangout everyday to everyweek to we’d be happy to see each other once a year atleast because friends started getting married and having kids.. Change is sad but at the same time necessary. I’d imagine the sadness from living 8 years together with your best mate to finally moving on with your own life, that hug was painful.

I loved it and have been hooked ever since, im now approaching 17. I want you to know that you have been a massive part of my life, and so many others. that “our own house and kids” comment from Simon at the end regarding talia is so real it almost felt scary for me being 21, needing to find my own forever future soon - I remember being about 13/14 watching his end of year montage with the song “baby there’s a shark in the water” or whatnot - just, I know it’s going to be so good for them and this is the end of a new beginning, it just blows my mind I’ve been here for a 7 year journey to see it all, it’s emotional :’)

i remember years ago, even before all of the sidemen beef or distracks, i used to watch all of the sidemen hangout in different places and make different content. When they flew to ibiza or the simple challenge videos they used to make. I remember watching JJ and Deji make videos together, W2S’s legendary pack openings along with Gibber’s, the search and discards by Ethan and whoever his guests were. These were the simplest times of my life as i did not properly experience the feeling of stress at that time; everything was fine, and my biggest worry was not coming back home early enough to watch one of their videos. Now, when my favorite 2 start mentioning aging, growing old, babies, a new stage in their life and moving on, it brought a tear to my eye. I am flying overseas next year to start with my uni and it will be a new life and me moving on from my current life. These guys have carried the youtube industry and have kept me sane over the years, purely because they were able to make me laugh daily. It’s weird how much you can love an appreciate someone who isn’t even aware of your existence. Thank you JJ, Simon and all the sidemen. Thank you all

I feel this spiritually, I’m finishing my uni this semester and this coming October I’m getting married. 10 years ago I’d be laying in bed watching hours of UA-cam and my only stress was, “when is practice” and “what homework do I have tonight”. It’s bitter sweet honestly. As all these people who I’ll never meet and will never know me move on and I do well, we’re all just kinda continuing on our paths.
