If you still want to try the 280. I got a NZXT 280 in. Could not tell if you have already tried this. It will make me feel better sharing this. The pumpblok can be physically rotated for a better fit and display is then rotated by software adjustment. The tubing corner above the PSU is something to look at. I have good faith the tubing is rigid enough for a good water flow. You can adjust the PSU height and lower it a bit. 280 fills out nice and tight after some rough love to get in all in. Next on my todo list; 1. Shorter UPS cables. (Maybe the fancy ones) 2. Inno3d rtx 4090 ichill black AIO mounted underneath the bottom. (Small drill required) And longer feet so that radiator is free from the bottom. Planning depends on income and guilt issues for spending it on myself. I don’t create nor play games.😅 maybe the kids can try it out for me!😂 I want it, I want it now! 😫😭 Oh, and guy on the right. I love the hair style!
I'm just a hobbyist and I had no issues getting a Z63 kraken elite in mine with two lian li al140 fans on top and a rtx 4090 fe with a 120mm fan at the bottom. There is a videos on UA-cam with another builder installing an nzxt z63 280mm.
I fit the Kraken Z63 (280 mm) with two Noctua Chromax 140 mm fans into my Q58. 1. I mounted the block with pipes facing down 2. I prepared the radiator with pipes on front of case 3. I mounted the radiator under the fans, which went under the top casing, with all 8 screws, but don't fully secure the screws yet 4. Use the slight play to fit the radiator through the top. I had to slide the radiator around slightly to fit it in like a puzzle. 5. Screw fix the top casing, then slide the radiator to desired position before securing that too The PSU side tube bends against the PSU, but it's held on reliably for over a year so far. After adjusting the fan curve, NZXT says 5900X CPU and 3080 GPU both sit at just under 50°C.
Y’know, that’s a good question. We didn’t do really any in-depth thermal testing outside what’s shown in the video. I think it was overall okay though. We filmed this video at the end of 2022 so it’s been a bit 😅
@@ultraprecisiontechnologies Thx anyway. I am curious, because i have the same setup and could get a 3090 Founders for an upgrade in workstation tasks.

That's exactly what I did with mine, gave it a little rough love and all good.
I used some cardboard to make the radiator sit higher so the tube doesn't bend too harshly

How are the cpu temps?
What are the gpu temps like?
