Jambo! gina langu ni Ian, natakaku ongea rafiki Tanzanian, kwasababu nakupenda rafiki Tanzania na rafiki Africa! I cant spell in swahili, but Tanzania is where i want to be right now...
Classy video, classy people in Tanzania...honorable. GOD bless and protect President Obama and his beautiful family. Shalom and increased provision please be to the Tanzanian people. Love In Christ to you all. Amen.
Definitely the biggest welcome so far in Africa. Safi sana Watanzania tumejitahidi. Ukarimu wetu unaonekana hapo kwa kiasi fulani pia watu wengi sana mtaani walijitokeza. Bravo.
Having been born in Kenya and raised in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, I remember, when President Kennedy sent his FIRST volunteers of the Peace Corps to Tanzania--So how befitting for the first African American President to visit Dar-es-Salaam again. I only wished, i had been there to witness this memorable historical visit! UHURU NA MOJA
Damn that man has some feng shui!! Greats everyone like old friends he hasn't seen in a long time. And what great personality and grace Africans portrays at such moments. Really proud to be African, and I can't wait to go there in just 2 days. Excited to see how small countries, like Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi, unknown for many, are slowly but surely progressing!! It will take time, but Obama's interest in that continent predicts only good in the future, in my opinion! :XD
Excellent point Njanja! Thank you for bring it up. Good LORD please set the people free from such wicked bondage and exploitation. Amen. Shalom In Christ Jesus to you and your house Njanja. Amen.
Ilikuwa siku nzuri sana kwa watanzania.Kwani kuja kwa rais OBANA tz ni jambo la kujivunia mno.Kwani kuja kwake inawezekana ndio sababu ya kuuaga umaskini tz.tchaooo.WELCOME OBAMA IN TZ jisikie huru baba.
Tanzania president looks young. It looks as if the whole world is voting in younger leaders.I guess everyone is tired of the same old fools. With the same old policies. While I say this I see Mugabe is still hanging in there.I guess he said he will not let these young dudes run him out of office.
Tanzania isn't different from other African countries apart form S. Africa. However TZ is a comrade of America and UK. It is fine if you have trade partners also for benefits of people. US is coming to get resources from Tanzania. Who are the beneficiaries. Only TZ leaders who will sign all those contracts. Like always has been Africans can not lead themselves. they are corrupt to sell their own people from slave era to currently selling public resources. Same game different players. frm Mpemba
To Kikwete why are you robbing your own people to entertain the rich ?? it is very interesting to see kikwete ravish spending while most Tanzanians live in deep poverty.
Hamisi, Obama is currently the most important man in the world right now, and deserved the attention he got from Tanzanians.Remember, this trip cost the USA a staggering 100 million dollars which only underscores it's importance. Let's think as global citizens and see how much we'll benefit from this instead of seeking silly attention by downplaying such an important visit other countries would die to have.
why sweep the streets like its God.... if you visited dar today the old filth is back... huu upuzi wa kuabudu america tuwache jameni... kama kikwete ama uhuru akienda huko hata hawahusiki kamwe....
As tanzanian citizen, I felt so shame to see some businesses being closed for some days just to wellcome obama in tz. Can you imagine closing American People businesses in washington dc for some days in order let one leader from a certain country to enjoy his trip at poor people cost.
We Africans we need development in many areas as investors are finding better investment environment, but a question goes to the sleeping African Leaders who may need some capacities in responding to the new era, and to think twice before they sit on their seats to give way to progress than to always depend on the DONORS in most of their plans
hahaha which President of a Powerful Nation can walk the streets huh? get real Majorie stop being silly,at least he can go for a burger now and then plus he seems a really cool dude!
I read that part of Obama's objective of visiting African nations to compete with the Chinese. China has quite a visible presence in Tanzania, when I went to Singida last year I was shocked to see Chinese workers. I later found out that the Chinese were building roads. It was part of a deal= in return for working the mines the Chinese worked on infrastructure.
Been an Obama man since 2004....but I think it was impolite of him to keep the Tanzanian president waiting while he talked and greeted some dude. That said, I am stil an Obama man, kabisa
Reminds me of General George S. Patton's gracious reception ceremony is Africa in 1942, from whence he and the US 7th Army, along with the British General Montgomery, drove that "Desert Fox" Irwin Rommel and the Nazi armies, along with their Italian fascist legions of Mussolini, right off the continent and into the sea! Praise Be The LORD. Jesus Bless you all. Amen.
He did walk down the street like that for both of his inaugurations check out the videos if you did not see it on t.v. Plus he always makes stops in the u.s. to get something to eat or to go shopping.Where are you from?
Every thing in this world is about networking and good rapport with others. A warm and relaxed atmospehere encourages potential investors to a country. Issue is how prepared are our people to take advantage of good vibe between TZ and US in terms of trade and investments? About transforming friendship into wealth and prosperity? Nyerere had some US presidents for friends too eg Kennedy and Carter; Sell outs who betray our resources are own leaders; who go for personal interests over nation's.
The people of Tanzania made Africa proud by giving Obama the respect he deserves. Ahsanteni sana
Tanzania must be lovely country, friendly people, beautiful landscape and one special friend there!

Don't be negative. There is a lot to be gained from the positive exposure and potential investment. Look at the bigger picture
as a fellow human being you knew nothing about Tanzania just because you are ignorant. Its sad people only depend on media to know stuff nowadays.
Wow Nice.
why sweep the streets like its God.... if you visited dar today the old filth is back... huu upuzi wa kuabudu america tuwache jameni... kama kikwete ama uhuru akienda huko hata hawahusiki kamwe....

Why Tanzania will suffer...search for THE GREAT DISASTERS

Yo! that was a long walk, lol.
it's obvious that "skunkslovely" has never seen the walls of a classroom before otherwise he wouldn't utter such foolishness here.
WOW!!! the Tanzanian president pulled out all the stops for the Obamas....what a very nice welcome ceremony...
