Our state is very simple
Disunited
We are racist

For a small talk we make another firqa
We want to study and settle in west but be buried in Makkah
We want our kids to study in others schools rather than Islamic schools
Even in Islamic schools we are divided each school has its own firqa

With due respect to the Shaikh Zahir Mahmood and the lecture, i disagree to someone of the points he made. He said the goal or vision which Prophet sallalahua allahi wasalam taught to sahabah was to take the lands of persian and Byzantianes. We all believe these hadiths are authentic and well known but they were not the goals and vision of sahabah ridhwanullahi tala ajmaeen. But these were the meracles and prophecies of the prophet alahhi salam and sahabah had no doubt about them. But to say they were the goals and vision to which they strive for, is in my opinion incorrect.
The goal and vision of shabah was to liberate the mankind or humanity from the worshipping of man to the worship of their creator, who created them. Their mission was to teach mankind the correct Aqeedah and the knowledge that lead them to their creator.
We were never after capturing lands or places. Our goal was to spread the true message of islam.
We have seen during the khilafah of Umar radiallahu anhum when the treasures of the persians reached him, he wept so much becuase he know this wealth will be a great fitnah to us and indeed He was right. Also during his time when he colected the keys of Juraselm, he was asked to wear best clothes but he choose to wear same clothes he had and said indeed Allah gave us Izzah by Islam and if we leave islam what will give us Izzah. Similarly from the lives of other sahabah we see same thing, their goal was islam and spreading the word of Allah and his messenger. Like when emissionaries of islam Rabi bin Amir radiallahu anhu went to rustum during battle of Qadasiyyah, the sahabah always gave 3 conditions either accept islam and rule your country by yourself, or be under muslim ruler on your religion and pay the jazziah or fight with us if you dont accept the first two conditions. Indeed many lands who were ruled by thier leaders kept on ruling by themselves when they accepted islam or paid jizziah.
Amr ibn alas, Saad b. Abi Waqqas, Abu ubaidah ibn jarrah , khalid ibn waleed and others radiallahu anhum ajmaeeen during their battle they all had same conditions.
The goal of sahabah was the life of hereafter They never paid any attention to this world and its beauty, the sahabah lived simple lives, even if they were the super powers like umar ra, … many sahabah did not care about wealth or postions … the thing they cared was islam and the knowledge which allah and the prophet taught us. Indeed islam gave them Izzah and if we seek izzah it can never be from anything except which gave izzah to the best of the generations of this ummah.
