Topher Grace is skilled in movies like BlackKKlansman. The bad writing of Spider-Man 3 prevented audiences from seeing that he could be adept enough to tackle a complex character like Eddie/Venom.

Yeah the bad writing and to many other villains there was no development in his Character so we never got to see the potential he could've had
