So many patterns I've never seen in all my travels!---I have, occasionally, added to my Corelle dish set from my wedding in 1971. It's rare that I find Corelle in my area, or Corning cookware either, which says something about owners not readily giving up their pieces. On my bucket list of places to see is the Corning Museum of Glass. I've been on several Celebrity cruises that have the Corning Hot Glass studio on the top deck, & have pieces from the shows!
Interesting info :) Unfortunately, corning ware isn't worth that much. Probably money laundering at these prices. I have the 1qt blue cornflower with lid and I can't even sell it for $60.
The 1 qt cornflower casserole either Pre-68 or post-68 in very good condition should sell for about $12-$14 with a lid. That’s a far cry from hundreds of dollars.
Hi, I HATE to be the one to say this but....Best research which pattern and what year your Corning/Corelle was made. Last summer, I purchased a large group of Corelle ware ("Indian Summer"). When I googled to see if was dishwasher safe, a list of warnings appeared. I had no idea. After 2005, your dishes are lead free. Prior, the paint may contain toxins (Lead, mercury, cadmium). It is advised that dished before 1978 NOT be used but for decoration only. Especially, do not use damaged/worn/faded pieces as the chemicals can leach out into the food. I returned my dishes as I have young grandchildren and didn't want to take any chances. Just wanted to pass this along to ALWAYS do your research.
I use vintage Corning Ware and do not fear it. I have also read about the lead issue. Any lead based paint was only used on the outside decor. It did not touch the food area. People won't be licking the decor and it doesn't rub off onto your hands. The inside surface is sealed and safe. It has never been proven that people have been harmed or died from using vintage Corning Ware. I have used it for yrs. and still do and I'm still alive and over 70 yrs old. People who fear lead on Corning are over reacting. imo.
I have a complete set of Corning pots and the large roasting pan I have the small square pans, the little frying pan, the canisters etc. all over 50 yrs old.
Other than the Cornflower, the Spice of Life, and French White, I don't think I've ever seen the other designs. Haven't seen the coffee pot since my Grands had one in mid 70's. I have a red mixing bowl I've had since the early 80's. It was given to me by a friend for the Nostolgia
Red mixing bowl? Never seen that by Corning Ware. I have seen a red bowl made by Pyrex that is part of the nesting bowl set. Does your say Corning Ware? I had a red loaf pan in red that said "Corning" on the bottom but it was a very new product and not the vintage.
I have watched several of your videos and really enjoy the history as well as the value that you add into the videos. I have a question, the blue cornflower pattern, does the white lid hold more value with these pieces over the clear lid?
I have been picking up some nice pieces, but I always grab lids whenever I run across them. I had four lids that I paid ten dollars for and I sold them to my friend at the family price of sixty dollars, before I could even clean them up. By the way I use a jeweler's silver polishing cloth for the final shine and I know that it really is worth the effort and they cost about seven bucks and a couple of my cloths are maybe four years old. Corningwear = $$.

The rarest and most unknown version of Corningware is the 1970 only Renaissance pattern. Instead of flowers or vegetables, this pattern shows a 17th century seaport.

I was at 2 estate sales this morning one I was in line at before they opened, the other I was at 30min after opening. At one I found a 2 quart spice of life with lid (as well as the 1 quart spice of life). An older gentleman tried to guilt me into giving them to him because he said his wife sent him for the 2 quart. At the other estate sale I found a 1 quart blue Corning with lid (as well as the 1 quart measure cup). Surely these cannot be the sought after ones? No way I could have hit it out of the park on my first time going to an estate sale? The houses were in very nice, older neighborhoods but Something must be different with mine, I bet..
A lot of the high dollar sold eBay listing you’re showing I believe are items listed and sold buy nefarious sellers trying to hype up the value. Many of them have no feedback or selling history at all. Buyer beware and look for feedback. The market is flooded with spice of life items under $20 so why would you spend $1k-10k for the same thing?
WARNING!! I had a complete set of all the original blue cornflower corning ware. I amassed it over the years. Five years ago I sent two casseroles to my sister who was ill. Her nephew returned the casseroles and lids-----she washed them and put them in a paper bag. It was Feb. and the weather was cold. On the way to my house (5 min. away from hers), one casserole simply exploded----with shards of glass all over the car, and a large one lodging in the dashboard. Her nephew had to go to the ER to have some small pieces of the casserole removed from the back of his neck. No more corning ware casseroles for me! In another case, another cousin had the large blue cornflower coffee pot. It blew up on the stove, sending shards of glass all over the kitchen----some were stuck in the walls, while others lodged in the cabinet doors-----that's how intense the explosion was. PLEASE BE CAREFUL IF YOU WANT TO USE THE ORIGINAL BLUE CORNFLOWER CORNING WARE. IT'S A DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN.
The inflated prices you quoted are scams. Please do not perpetuate these inflated values as they are not real. P.S. Human traffickers use different online platforms to 'sell' their illegal activities. Wayfarer, Walmart, eBay, to name a few.

Google search should be able to help you
Lots of crazy prices on corning ware on eBay. But nothing above $75 gets any bids. Closes without selling.
That doesn’t surprise me
I have a set of the Buffet Server collection.
Nice!
❤❤❤😊
🙂🙂
I have one
This is the disign and later at the back
Corning
T.M REG
Nice!
840 degrees Celsius…
Something around 1400-1500ish degF!
I read online that the pieces of corning ware listed for thousands of $$$ are actually people who are money laundering. Do you have any information regarding this?
Wouldn’t surprise me lots of people do weird things to pump up values
Corningware is not worth thousands. Whoever is paying that much is crazy. Everyone should get one though. It’ll outlive you and can become heirlooms for your kids and grandkids
I agree they are crazy but people are crazy lol
I have the cornflower set
Nice!
The value of the 1qt must have went down cuz I just found a bunch of sold listings for like $5??
Yea crazy prices but I would assume the super high prices are scams
Its a shame that Corningware & Corelle are going strong, but PYREX only makes dishware in Europe and we only have pyrex here in the US.
Pyrex is as hot as ever as well
I was at 2 estate sales this morning one I was in line at before they opened, the other I was at 30min after opening.
Also I’ve noticed my lids don’t say Pyrex 😔
You never know check eBay sold listings to see what you got. Most likely they are common pieces but as long as you like it that’s all that matters
I collect and use crazy daisy
A lot of collectors of that pattern
I have at least 500 piece
Nice!!
In that case I’m a millionaire I have hundred of them
Do some research you could have some gems
A lot of the high dollar sold eBay listing you’re showing I believe are items listed and sold buy nefarious sellers trying to hype up the value. Many of them have no feedback or selling history at all. Buyer beware and look for feedback. The market is flooded with spice of life items under $20 so why would you spend $1k-10k for the same thing?
Could be that is why I show the sold listings so people can see the craziness
eBay is the MOST expensive place for purchasing things. World wide audience.
Biggest market in the world
@@66uniqueantiqueshence, the highest prices. At least for the most part.
It blew up on the stove, sending shards of glass all over the kitchen----some were stuck in the walls, while others
lodged in the cabinet doors-----that's how intense the explosion was. PLEASE BE CAREFUL IF YOU WANT TO USE THE ORIGINAL BLUE CORNFLOWER CORNING WARE. IT'S A DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN.
Yikes sorry that happened to you
I have some of these “high sellers” in my collection and I highly doubt the sold prices are legit.
I would agree with that but interesting to see how the sold listings go

absolutely
I've heard those r artificially inflated prices to try and increase profit. I find it hard to believe any corning ware pc sells for 6,000
🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ I hope
Not
Wow!ai just buy it use it. 11:10
Most do
The inflated prices you quoted are scams. Please do not perpetuate these inflated values as they are not real. P.S. Human traffickers use different online platforms to 'sell' their illegal activities. Wayfarer, Walmart, eBay, to name a few.
Just relaying prices from eBay feel free to look up sold listings
😬😩
🙂
Stop this madness you get the same product for 10-20 bucks
