Dude, you deserve $100 box of chocolates. This was way more worth it than anything by ANY DESIGNER. And you have actually enjoyed most of the candies.
I think some year you should do the Bonne Maman advent calendar. It's just 23 tiny jams and one tiny honey. They're so good!
Omg, yes! I bought the bonne maman calendar for my husband a few years ago and we tried most of the jams in it, they were so good! My only complaint was that a lot of the flavours were only available in the calendar and you couldn't buy a larger jar of them if you really liked certain ones. It did make me a big fan of the jams that can be bought though, like their cherry jam.
I think I got some of their fig jam in my Hello Fresh; tasty and I kept the little jars for tiny craft supplies.
My late hubby got me one a couple of years ago and we loved it! So delicious and the tiny jars were absolutely adorable 😊 thank you for reminding me it existed, I’m gonna have to put a note in my calendar to buy one next Xmas, lol
We have gotten this for the past 4 years and we (husband, teenage daughter and I) all rank them out of 5. So good. Love all the fun unique flavors they don't offer the rest of the year.
I have been getting it every year for the past 5 years. So good to have a different jam for breakfast for almost a month.
I vote for advent calendars all year long! And I love the food tastings. Do whatever you like as far as that goes. Cookies, candy, whatever!

I was like there's 3 Bröntes sisters. 😂😂😂😂 They're all authors too; I wrote a major project in college on them. I also hunted down a really old collection of their novels (the art on the actual book under the dust covers was super cool looking).
I don't know if she said it later but Bronte is a small town in Sicily renowned for their pistachios. And some terrible historical events with the mafia I remember since highschool. As the one who was in it was from Genova my city.

GIRL, if you like hazelnut chocolate, get yourself the following type of chocolate: GIANDUIOTTO and CREMINO. They are the bestest!

Yes! If you can get CREMINO from the brand GIRAUDI (they are from Piemonte, Italy), you won't be disappointed, they are so good.
But there are also the ones from MAJANI FIAT , which are very good and more affordable.
@@flagbabygirlmake sure you don't get the ones by the brand Lindt. I've heard they had a bit of a feud with Tourin based chocolatiers because they tried to alter the recipe by adding powdered milk and they got big mad. They said that in the gianduiotto/gianduia type chocolate there is no such thing as powdered milk. Actually if I'm not mistaken this type of chocolate was created in the mid 1800' due to a chocolate shortage. So the people in the Tourin area started to mix a whole lot of hazelnut with the chocolate so they could kind of extend it. Make more from less. And at those altitudes and areas hazelnuts grow anywhere. I went for a few years on vacations in a small town near Acquiterme and there were so many hazelnut trees growing everywhere.
I'm so glad my favorite brand here makes gianduja. I never used to like hazelnut in chocolate until I tried them.
Ok, I looked at the website and the tiny 2-piece tins are ADORABLE!! I don't even mind too much that they make you buy at least 3 cuz they're so dang cute! And the bigger artist series tins are beautiful, I can definitely see people getting into collecting them
I was never a chocolate lover but after culinary school where I decided to specialize in pastry and confections, with a thought to be a chocolatier eventually, I don't even like the smell of chocolate anymore 😂 my grandmother loved truffles so I'd always make them for her, she would have loved this box, even though Russell Stover was her favorite and Whitman Samplers were for company she wanted to impress 😂😂 you look as gorgeous as always, thanks for sharing!

Haha ❤ valentines day was yesterday for me (I'm in Aus) but we bought heart-shaped donuts to celebrate, all you need is something sweet to eat with someone you love. & Yes you can do that & celebrate love every day. I just love having a full day where a bunch of people all around the world also celebrate 💕
We used to have friends that were chocolatiers and it was mid range chocolate so still affordable. They'd trade with my parents business for sauces and oils; so we'd end up with a ton of chocolate and they worked in Belgian chocolate so it was fine truffles but they also made filled eggs and bunnies. They ended up getting jobs somewhere else and closed their store.
Another friend makes really fancy chocolate with 70% dark fair trade chocolate and they put stencil designs on them. The certain design means the flavour and I am so hooked on the candied lime peel one. They are mostly smooth with some crunchy bits added depending on the flavour.
This video took me back to when my dear elderly friend Miss. Darlene (RIP, I 🙏 miss our daily chats 😢) gave me and my husband a GIANT BOX of Whitmans Chocolates a few years back. She knew how much my husband and I loved our chocolate 🍫 It was the best gift ever. The box is very sturdy and is now the home for all my gift wrapping tissue paper. ❤ I think I remember finding the GIANT BOX for half price after Christmas. I paid $20 for another one. In case you do decide to go on a chocolate 🍫 binge, I highly recommend it. The price is perfect, and you get two full rows of them 🎉 I love these Advent Calendars ... they never get old 😊

as someone who is in the business: the amount of expense it takes to produce some thing, so beautiful, requires extensive quality control at every step, making the five dollars per chocolate a reasonable charge. If you knew what it takes to go from farmer producing the bean all the way to you, producing the chocolate. It would make entirely more sense, I also suggest pairing it with liquors port, coffee or tea. Even ice cold water goes really well with chocolate. We don’t know why. but my favorite is putting a glass in the freezer overnight taking it out, pouring full fat milk so it goes a little bit icy. So good with chocolate.❤
Flor de caña translates to cane flower. Rum is made with sugar cane, so it is probably just enhanced with the sugar cane flower.
Man, Meyers lemons are amazing. You can only get them for a small window in fall and for lemons they're pricey. However, I pay it every year because they're the mildest, sweetest lemon you'll find. They make a great accompaniment to teas which is my Jimmy jam. If you ever have a chance to grab some do it
The Piedmont hazelnuts are from the same northwest region in Italy that nutella comes from. My mom's family is from there, and the hazelnut treats are top tier.
In northern Californian, we have See’s Candies that can be purchased by the piece or the delightful assistants will put together a box of whatever you fancy. They also ship except to states that have very hot summers.
I never liked their chocolate, idk why and I wish I did but I could never eat more than one.

It's funny because Terry's Chocolates are viewed as being some of the cheapest, nastiest chocolates here in the UK. The Chocolate Orange is usually available for £1 around Christmas. I have one festering in my cupboard and it'll only be eaten if I get really desperate. 😂

Im in the USA in the south and I paid almost $7 a piece for my Terry's dark chocolate oranges at Xmas....I love them ...but it is funny they are seen as cheap whatever chocolates there. I know they aren't as good as European handcrafted chocolates but... I thought that were at least mid for grocery chocolate there 🤣

@gothboyuk They’re not seen as nasty tho? At least not in my part of Scotland, they’re fun and delicious, and I seriously wish they made the popping candy one all year round. And they’re roughly equivalent in price to Cadbury’s and Galaxy, so not the cheapest either (they may go on sale around Christmas, but so does literally every other chocolate, it’s a marketing tactic), it’s not like they’re the 50p bars of supermarket-brand or Euro Shopper chocolate that doesn’t even taste like chocolate
And as Alexandria has shown us in many of these taste tests and “luxury” advent calendars, just because something is expensive, doesn’t mean it’s good (and vice versa)

You should definitely try pomegranate! It's one of my favorite fruits. It's not sour at all, the flavor is kind of similar to a berry like raspberry or cranberry, but sweeter. They're in season in the winter too so they're a nice fruity treat in the cold months!

I work at a Place that has a Le cordon Bleu cooking school attached to it. They sell their sweets and cakes a lot cheaper than you would normally pay because they're just in training but Their chocolates are sooo good. If you really love chocolate, treat yourself to a really good chocolatier made chocolate at least once.

I bake with Madagascar Vanilla,it's the best Vanilla. The chocolate looks so good, all those fine ingredients, is why this box is so expensive, I need to try this chocolate now that I've seen it❤
