You beat me to it! I had an old beater laying around and was going to do a tips video like this one. LOL
LOL ;) It happens to me too but I usually still make the video. Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/

i really think you should get someone to make you a cartoon animation of a cat spitting for your intro for youtube, would be so cool funny and catchy. luv your tips and tricks for screen printing.
Thank you, glad you enjoy my video work. I would love to do that but that sort of thing can be expensive. If I could find someone to do it relatively cheap... ;) Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/
Thanks for the tip! I’ve been avoiding my red ink because it’s super thick and was considering options like adding water? But I have no idea if that would damage the plastisol ink.... I think this will work thank you cat spit!!!!
You're welcome. Plastisol inks are not water soluble so it would not mix in at all. Usually simply mixing them well will make them creamy, smooth and easy to use. If it's an older ink a tiny touch of curable reducer can make it good again. Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/
That's so easy and I didn't even think about using a egg beater when mixing colors with my ink system.
Cool, glad I could enlighten you to egg beating ink ;) Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/
@@CatspitProductions Thanks a load, Jonathan. Waterbase ink horrifies me, but that looks so fun and delucious 😋 HaHaHa!!! I am going to have to jump in the water (pun intended) the texture of your brand looks easy to work with. By the way, those are some "Cool Pimpin' Shoes" you're sportin'! 👞
@@rpbvid I go by Catspit most of the time but my actual name is Jonathan ;) You're very welcome! I'm happy to know you enjoyed the video. Yeah both the water based and plastisol are different products than most other suppliers sell. I like to have excellent and unique products where ever I can. Yeah those sneakers are custom made Vans. I get my Vans online and I usually customize them. Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/
@@CatspitProductions My bad Johnathan 😬 I was messaging someone else and crossed names. I called him Kevin as well, (whew!) and You're Welcome... Your videos are always funny, and informative!
I am so excited about my vacuum platen purchased from you guys, and I finished remodeling my shop so I will be playing with it in a week or so. I will make a video and post it.
@@rpbvid No worries, if you remember Catspit, that's what counts ;) I'm happy to know you enjoy my videos. Awesome. That's cool, if you make a video I'll be sure to share it. Thanks again for your business. Let me know if I can be of assistance anytime.
Hey man quick question for you. What's the difference between printing plastisol and soft bait plastisol? And can you use printing plastisol to make softbait plastic baits ?
The difference is this soft bait plastisol stuff you mention is for making bait lures for fishing as far as I know. Really has nothing to do with screen printing tee shirts with plastisol inks. You cannot make bait by printing plastisol inks. This is for textile screen printing only. Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/

Are there any alternative paints I can use for screen printing? Plastisol is very hard to come by where I live (Germany) and I do have fabric paint but I find it's not so great. I've read using acrylic paint is also an option and I have tried this but it dries hard on fabric. Is there anything I can add to it to make it not do that? Thanks!
I'm not sure what's available near you but there are water based inks and silicone. Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/
(Sometimes) my plastosil ink comes off with strong scratches of my fingernails. What can that be due too. Im curing at 320F for 15+ secs.
That has to be a curing issue. Give them more time in the oven. The more ink you print, the more heat it will need to cure. Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/
I'm assuming this would work great with a pantone ink mixing system?
As apposed to mixing by hand, sure. Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/
I have one question about ink. If you go months without using ink and just leave it in the shelf, will the ink still be useful once you finally decide to use it??
Usually yes. Plastisol inks can last for years in the bucket and water based inks may last 1 to 2 years or more depending on how they are stored. Just mix well before using them ;) Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/
@@CatspitProductions Awesome. Thanks for the replied. Something ive been wanting to check on.
@@antonioaguilar6873 You're welcome. My pleasure to help out where I can.
You will burn your egg-beater for sure, For last 8 years we are using same egg-beater Tip with Ryobi Drill and mix 1 gallon bucket with out any trouble.
That's possible but for quarts it's fine. You can probably get one at a thrift store for $5 maybe $15 at Walmart. It should last long enough with quarts. I do not recommend using it for gallons. Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/
Another great demo/Idea for mixing ink ... made me think back to the days when Mom would be making a cake and mixing everything with the beater and getting to lick the beater blades ... Mmmmm ... :D
Thank you! Yeah right, I remember that a bit as well. My childhood was somewhat turbulent. I was one of the first "Latchkey Kids." But my Mom did make a few cakes and cookies as I recall. I remember if I licked the egg beater a little too much I would start tasting the metal... LOL ;) Thanks for watching! Screen Printing Equipment & Supplies - CatspitScreenPrintSupply.com/
