LOL, she really has a point, though. We do buy bigger cars because we have kids, and idk about you, but my toddler absolutely screams when the sun is in her face while she's in the car.
Well she has a GOOD point. Why the F should a mom spend over $45K for an SUV like this and it doesn't have rear shades?? Even a crappy Honda minivan has those!
I admit I'm a knuckle dragging guy's guy. Most male reviewers are similar and focus an tourqe curves and 1/4 mile times....and I love it. You give such a refreshing perspective on your reviews, and I really appreciate it. Instead of focusing on the details that are used 2% of the time (max tow up a mountain during a snow storm); you highlight the day to day details that are actually important. Those details like how a seat folds up for access or elbow room when loading a kid in a carseat are the things we live with everyday. Thank you so much!! With that being said, I need to go sharpen my chainsaw, fix the tractor, and build a shed. Back to my cave I go.
Just remember car seat tilt only works with forward facing car seats using lower anchors (child must be under 35 pounds) or with an infant base with no load leg. These are both short term situations just keep this in mind 😉
I use the car seat tilt with my rear facing seat. Also, some boosters have the LATCH system to keep them from being projectiles. So it's useful even for my big littles.
Had this vehicle, loved it, never needed more space, great power, surprisingly great turning radius, fantastic ride. Double Bob Stroller and a Costco load..no problem. Then I lemon lawed it because of electronic issues whenever Bluetooth was running and you went into a parking garage. Completely shut the screens down. Sucked, but was fun while it lasted.
We had twins 5 months ago and a 6yo. No seat tilt is a deal breaker. We have Graco shyft car seats and a booster. It’s impractical having to take off the car seat to let anyone out of the 3rd row. Went with Navigator L instead
Hey, there’s a way you can get the running boards to stay out or in depending on your preference. On your dash go to settings, then vehicle, then power running boards. Then you can select auto, off, or out.
The headrest issue in the 3rd row is a deal breaker for me. I was really excited about getting an XL for our large family until that issue was pointed out. Thank you for bringing it up. Now I'm bummed bc the Yukon seemed like the best option by far, based on space. 😢
This car looks best on you and you look very comfy in the driver seat. As far as the car, I think it drives similar to school bus and for the back passengers it probably rides like a school bus. You are right about the absence of head rests in the third row. This is a serious omission. When you see that it gives an impression that GM shorted you there. To me that doesn't matter since I would never use the third row but it does create an impression that this was not a well designed product. However,it still doesn't matter since this car cost over 10k so I will not have to experience such problems. I mostly watch your videos to see you banging your oversized water bottle against the unfortunate cup holders. Please continue to do so in the future.
Would you get this or a mini van for a family of 6? I don’t like the reliability of the gm vehicles so I would just lease and get a new one every 3 years. If the minivan is a better choice I would buy it since they’re more reliable.
10:49 if the third row doesn’t have the anchors how does the car seat get secured other than with the back tether ? I have a grandson that sometimes would need to be in the rear seat in a car seat. I found shoulder center seat belt that has a special release buckle that takes a tool to unlock it. I haven’t found a center rear row lap belt yet. The manual states shoulder and lap belts shouldn’t be used with the anchor belt secured to the seat anchors that come with the car seat itself. You as a mom seem to know the routine very well. I just got my new 23 Yukon XL with second row bucket/ captains chair seats so no option to center the boy on the middle. Thanks
Having had a Suburban, which I did like, to now having this car, prefer the Yukon XL to the Suburban…mostly the looks, not a fan of the new Suburban body style
So me and my wife are torn between this xl and the wagoneer l would love a comparison video or something along those lines. Don’t really see a comparison to other full sizes. Have a family of 5 mainly looking for the bigger cargo, is why we are going with the xl or wagoneer l. Thanks.

No kids for me but we just ended the company lease on a 20 Navigator and I am glad since it had some electrical glitches that also led to some reliability issues. We requested a Telluride SX-P in Jan. but the company we contract with to lease dropped the ball several times so a Denali was our second choice and I found one myself 500 miles away. They deliver it next week and we chose the diesel option. This will be the second Denali the company has leased and I look forward to ditch Ford Motor Company.

I've been fighting the price tag of one of these large SUV's vs the practicality of a MiniVan (Odyssey). Thoughts anyone? I've got a 3 row SUV, just want more space and usability.
I have an odyssey. I want a full size SUV so bad but the sliding doors and the space of the van on top of a significant price difference, haven’t left the van life. I still have 3 small kids and the functionality of the van is something i can’t part with just yet. But boy is it tempting. I think it would just depend on how old your kids are and car seat set up! But I’m some places the top of the line trim on a van is still about $30k less than mid trim on these full size SUVs and are more gas friendly
@@mwichman001 see, you're feeling me. We've got a little guy who is about to be 2 and a 13 year old. I can get away with a larger SUV, as I have a 3 Row Mid Sized SUV now. @@user-mo3cs7fx7y it’s because for the price point, these vehicles can include these relatively cheap (for the manufacturer) yet convenient upgrades.
