    Glass, Glass, Glass do not use the plastic jars. Do not let these Jars sit in direct sunlight either, the cigars do not like it. You're welcome ;P

      Agreed. I also lined the sides and bottom of mine with cedar sheets.

    I did the same thing with glass lock top jars I bought at walmart. I don't like putting anything I eat or smoke in plastic for long periods of time because the plastic inevitably infuses with anything you put in it, it doesn't matter how well you wash it. With airtight glass, you don't need a hygrometer, just a two way humidification system like gel beads or boveda packs. I used a 2 oz jar of humi care jel beads and velcro'd to the inside lid of the jar. They come in 2 sizes, toro and robusto.. both work great!

    I lay mine on its side so I don't damage the foot of the sticks. Not as aesthetically pleasing but safer.

      agreed. up till this point I've never stored cigars vertically for that very reason. this one will just be a nice clean looking humidor i can keep out and have my everyday smokes ready for me to grab one on my way out the door.

    I like this but I’m not sure what to keep the humidity at or how to adjust that at all. What’s the best range to aim for and how do I keep it in that range

    Do you put all those packets and jar in or either one would be fine?

    Are you meant to take the sticks out of their tubes or cellophane when you put in humidor?

    • @animalyze7120
      @animalyze7120 2 роки тому +1

      You don't have to, some swear by taking the cello off but I always leave them on and they stay just fine.

      @@animalyze7120 is it ok if i put the jar in the fridge?

      @SomethingsStinky Рік тому

      @@ayman-oq6so I wouldn’t put it in a fridge, 60-75F is the best temperature to store your cigars so roughly room temp.
