#1 Focus is the Tyler Perry motivation rule for me. I cried when he explained it. It is difficult to focus when being in the eye of the storm. #10. Point of Light. Because it is true. After you have done all the praying, all the listening to the Lord -WAIT FOR IT. His time, is not our time. So, we cannot measure the 'wait'. Just WAIT. He, will deliver. Today June 1, 2020, I received this message. I've been going through a very difficult time. But, if God didn't allow it, I would not be going through it. And then, He also guides me through it. This complete episode was very inspirational to me!!! I broke down in tears at the end when Tyler Perry was talking about Being a point of light and he met Mr Butler and at the end Mr Butler said “some times in life when you pray & you’ve said all you can say, all you have to do is stand, wait, and listen”
This had been one of the hardest things for me to do but I can always hear Tyler’s voice saying it . I was just thinking again which one can give birth to all the others but it’s not always a logical decision. We have to trust our God given intuition and instincts

#10 Be a point of light was the best one because it shows that sometimes if you are a blessing to someone else you to may be blessed because you are more focused on giving then receiving.
The power of persistence and focus is clear in rule no 1. Tyler is inspiring and shows we can ALL be successful if we find our passion and are single-minded to pursing our goals. Love it!

Don’t fight for recognition now... I like that part. Sometimes we are hidden for a good reason. Am going through a new season being new in the US and trying to understand the system. I feel encouraged to stay on track.
This was a very good video. My favorite was Rule #1 Don't Stop. I can get easily distracted by new projects and lose focus. It was good to hear him say that if I focus on one idea, make it work, it will give birth to the others. I won't stop.

I liked, "Be a point of light," telling us that sometimes, asking for help, and relying on one or more others is a Way to Be a point of Light for one and more others. That opened me up somehow, in a humbling way. It ties in with the msg of allowing oneself to remain "hidden," while focusing on one specific goal through which to allow 'all the rest' to follow. Sometimes, our "little triumphs" are feeding the dreams to be realized, experienced & expressed through others. Sometimes, We are "the others." Either way, WE are ALL in this TOGETHER.

Hi guys! Thank you for putting this series of clips together. They are really empowering, and amazing food for thought. A series of statements that have really struck a cord with me have been when Tyler speaks about uniqueness and specialness.(min 6:30 - 7:07) "What makes you unique makes you special, and if you spend your whole life trying to conform, trying to be what somebody else thinks you should be, or fit into a mould or fit into a system, and YOU DULL DOWN YOUR SPECIALNESS, then YOU ARE DULLING DOWN ALL YOUR ABILITY TO CHANGE THE WORLD." Unfortunately that's what I've been doing most of my life; hiding my talents, trying not to stand out in the crowd just to evade the ridicule and humiliation from the people who, now I know, were just full of envy and insecurity.

Like you I have so many ideas and hopes running through my mind. Listening to your message, GOD just answered my prayer. "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." I read today that we make decisions without first talking to GOD, we don't allow HIM to lead and guide us, then wonder why things don't go the way we want them to. Thank u Tyler Perry for your Strong Faith, Persistance & Vision to Carry Your Dreams to pass. My Father was the same. He had a O Gauge Scale Model RailRoad Train layout about the history of Atlanta. Alongside his love of trains. It was called Good Old Days in Atlanta at Underground Atlanta Shoppes in Downtown that he had for eight years before he retired. That was his dream. Before he passed away he told my husband Eric & I with tears in his eyes how proud he was to live to see a Black Man able to pursue his dream of being a movie writer, producer & owning his own large studio compound. He would have loved to have taken the tour. One day my husband & I will come & enjoy that for him. You are a true inspiration🙏🏽

Bravo!! All were great however the one I can relate to is "Be a student of life". Everyone who has crossed my life path I have learned valuable lessons from. The one that caught my attention was the small beginnings...that was powerful to me.
I’m I the only one that watched through tear filled eyes? Amazing story and man! What resonated with me the most was “sometimes God will keep you hidden.” I completely understand the meaning. ❤️
What spoke to me is when your hidden? Awe!!! I led a very sheltered life growing up! Mother was protective over us as children. It’s Not your time shine! I was all over the place in all directions with unfinished projects. I happened upon this video and the first thing Tyler said to me was Don't Stop! Focus! Put all your energy into watering one area! DON'T STOP!!
Wow Mr Perry, I am a South African with a good story. My grandfather was a English man from Britain. He came to South Africa as a settler. My grandmother was a coloured lady that was a domestic working for my grandfather's family at that time. A long story short. They fall in love and at that time Natal was under the British. He legally married my grandmother. My grandmother could not read and write. He died when my dad and siblings where very young. Life in the old South African got so bad that the farm was taken away from her. But by the grace of God my grandmother managed to raise her children. My family has a great story to tell. God has used stories to help people with mental illness. We had a play at Warton Center, 4 years ago. We had people who talked about their illness, did skits, played 🎶 music to get their stories out. Listening to you, gives me so much hope. I have been involved with mental health for 30 years. I'm going to be praying that God helps us to be able to go further with these stories. There is still so much stigma on mental illness. We want to break the cycle. Thank you Tyler for all you and God have done. Love all your plays and movies. God Bless You!

This was a very good video. My favorite was Rule #1 Don't Stop. I can get easily distracted by new projects and lose focus. It was good to hear him say that if I focus on one idea, make it work, it will give birth to the others. I won't stop.

I liked, "Be a point of light," telling us that sometimes, asking for help, and relying on one or more others is a Way to Be a point of Light for one and more others. That opened me up somehow, in a humbling way. It ties in with the msg of allowing oneself to remain "hidden," while focusing on one specific goal through which to allow 'all the rest' to follow. Sometimes, our "little triumphs" are feeding the dreams to be realized, experienced & expressed through others. Sometimes, We are "the others." Either way, WE are ALL in this TOGETHER.

Like you I have so many ideas and hopes running through my mind. Listening to your message, GOD just answered my prayer. "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." I read today that we make decisions without first talking to GOD, we don't allow HIM to lead and guide us, then wonder why things don't go the way we want them to. Alongside his love of trains. It was called Good Old Days in Atlanta at Underground Atlanta Shoppes in Downtown that he had for eight years before he retired. That was his dream. Before he passed away he told my husband Eric & I with tears in his eyes how proud he was to live to see a Black Man able to pursue his dream of being a movie writer, producer & owning his own large studio compound. He would have loved to have taken the tour. One day my husband & I will come & enjoy that for him. You are a true inspiration🙏🏽

Wow Mr Perry, I am a South African with a good story. My grandfather was a English man from Britain. He came to South Africa as a settler. My grandmother was a coloured lady that was a domestic working for my grandfather's family at that time. A long story short. They fall in love and at that time Natal was under the British. He legally married my grandmother. My grandmother could not read and write. He died when my dad and siblings where very young. Life in the old South African got so bad that the farm was taken away from her. But by the grace of God my grandmother managed to raise her children. My family has a great story to tell. God has used stories to help people with mental illness. We had a play at Warton Center, 4 years ago. We had people who talked about their illness, did skits, played 🎶 music to get their stories out. Listening to you, gives me so much hope. I have been involved with mental health for 30 years. I'm going to be praying that God helps us to be able to go further with these stories. There is still so much stigma on mental illness. We want to break the cycle. Thank you Tyler for all you and God have done. Love all your plays and movies. God Bless You!
