The song Summer Belongs to you is from the second season 2 special called Summer belongs to you.
And no the episode of Summer belongs to you is not the finale.
Between season 3&4 there’s the movie across the second dimension
The series finale is the last day of summer. Then Milo Murphy’s Law takes off from here. Then season 2 of Milo Murphy’s law takes off with a crossover. But watch Phineas and ferb because the stuff have references in the other show
please react to Milos Murphys law songs
Please listen to The Stupendium
the fact that literally almost every single episode of this show has a song in it makes it even better
And the fact that most of them are at least decent
go phineas go go phineas go phineas go go phineas
this just reminded me of a schaff video that was like over an hour long that ranked every phineas and ferb song ever
jk it was 30 minutes but still
Thank Gitchee Gitchee Goo. The producers loved it so much, they demanded a song in every episode after.
FunFact: "Gitchie Gitchie Goo" was written the way it is to make fun of/parody generic pop songs, complete with the nonsense/random lyrics!
For some reason, every song that parodies generic pop song is incredible.
And the producers loved it so much, they asked to get a musical number in every episode from there on.
Ironic, cause I love pop music but HATE Gitchie Gitchie Goo...
It's very 60s-70s like the Archies sort of vibes.
Funnily enough, that is the song all the fans love
Jaret Reddick, who sings this intro is actually the lead singer of Bowling For Soup
Wow! Crazy to see you here! I loved how I managed to pin down that vibe without knowing he sung it, funnily enough I used to listen to Bowling For Soup a fair bit!
Thanks for watching 😌
Holy crap Dan, hello! 👋
He also did the Jimmy Neutron theme but wasn't used in the show at all but they have that on their Spotify account.
@@MathewMcKenna Well, now you've gotta make a new P&F video, not what the Dan Povernmire has watched your videos.
@@RasmusVJS #Engrish
Something fun with I Ain't Got Rhythm is that character's backstory - he fell asleep in a metronome factory and thought he'd lost his rhythm upon waking up because he couldn't feel it anymore - however the metronomes gave him a permanent unbreakable form of rhythm, it's just it was so endemic to him he didn't notice it.
I didn't know that lol
Also fun fact. THIS SONG WAS NOMINATED (AND MAYBE WON) A FREAKING EMMY!!! Maybe THAT is where he heard of it?!?!?!??
Was that Swampy's cameo in the song? He looks like him🤔
@@aparajithasriram7812 I don't think he's voiced by Swampy, but the character is called Swampy (he changed his name to Sherman when he became a librarian) and looks like he's modelled after him. Also, one of the other band members is called Danny and looks like he's modelled after Dan Povenmire
i didn't pick up on that being the reason he was saying he didn't have rhythm
another really good song from this show is there's a platypus controlling me, but man so many are great
That’s quite literally my favorite one.
oh my gosh yes
yes it is absolutely the best song no doubt
Doofenshmirtz songs wanted!
I've listened too that song too many times.
When he was talking about a song he's heard about before, I definitely thought it was gonna be Busted, but am surprised that it's not in this one. Part 2 please, Busted definitely needs to be on it, and I hope you also check out a personal favorite of mine, "mom, look!"
YES, you need to hear venessa singing, her voice is my favorite, especially in I'm Me
Needs busted aglet boys are evil and the songs in across the 2nd dimension
Yes! part 2 with these songs, I also just want to see his reaction to Candance's "Man/Sick voice"
@@dawnbyrne717 E.V.I.L. B.O.Y.S. is the song title you’re looking for, in case you wanna look it up yourself
Agreed 100%
"Ain't got rhythm" actually got nominated for the Emmy awards but lost. Still the fact that it got nominated is actually really great for a cartoon song.
“Are they super geniuses?”
Yes, yes they are. (Also, the vast majority of the songs in that show are extremely catchy and by the end of the show, you will more than likely ship Phineas & Isabella)
They’re super genius engineers
It’s called PHINABELLA…………..… lol
@@robbymounce5764 Yes, we know that. You don’t need to state the obvious.
You actually ship that? I mean I know it has a small Shipping fandom but I had hoped it wasn’t that serious 😭💀
@@timefliesaway999I mean they like each other what’s the problem
The theme song is performed by Bowling for Soup, which is a punk rock band.
oh wild lmao they did 1985
about to comment this! the lead singer has an incredible voice.
Well the more popular cover it was originally by SR71
@@MathewMcKenna and the jimmy neutron theme as well! and they are also the band love händel in phineas and ferbs universe
@@MathewMcKenna he also voices chuck e cheese
If you’re doing another of these, you should definitely include Busted, Platypus Controlling Me and E.V.I.L B.O.Y.S
Oooh yes! chains on me too has a similar grit to EVIL Boys that’s good too
these are good ones! dont forget "Fabulous" lol that one's always an earworm
Yes, and a lot of the née ones are absolute bops too, like My Sweet Ride, watching and waiting, and I need my letter back
Oh wow I commented the exact same list yesterday without seeing this comment
fabulous
don’t be a lookalike, copying another
unless of course, you’re copying me
cause that gives you individuality
Phineas and Ferb essentially used a different genre of music for almost every episode. It was really interesting to see the vocal range of all the characters and the different styles they can sing in. I still go back and listen to some of the songs just cause they were that good.
*when you have been show desensitized to this show that you are surprised by Mathew's shock at how 'weird' the song 'Squirrels in my Pants' is.*
You're in for a hell of a ride if you wanna get more into Phineas and Ferb stuff. One of the best things about the show is that almost *every* episode has some kind of musical number, with only a handful that don't. It's one of the things that makes the show so special. And as you've heard- all the songs are bops
add to it each ep as a sub plot with a certain platypus :)
The only episode without a song is the first
@@wahtdookie And then they go back and make an entire musical about the first episode to “fix” that.
@@wahtdookie Actually, it was the first one and the episode, "Lights, Candace, Action!" I'm not sure if there are any other episodes that don't have songs, but that's the only other episode I know.
maybe not alllllllll the songs are bops like picnic bust
nothing and i mean nothing shocks me more than the fact there r people out there who have not watched phineas and ferb
my sincerest apologies
@@MathewMcKenna binge the series and i shall forgive it
The theme was actually done by a legit group called "Bowling for Soup" who have a longer version of the theme on one of their albums, I believe. "Gitchee Gitchee Goo" was done for the episode where they wanted to be One Hit Wonders so that's why there's a huge crowd. My favorite Phineas and Ferb episode is "Dude, We're Getting the Band Back Together" where they try to reunite their mom's favorite band for their parents' anniversary. it's so sweet and has some of the best music. Also, the band in question, Love Handel, becomes a feature in later episodes.
Bowling for Soup even make Phineas and Ferb joke in their puppet song
@@syabilaazri7834 Aww, that's awesome! XD
You are right with the one hit wonder part
My favourite songs are probably "A brand new best friend", which is from the movie, "Busted" and "A-G-L-E-T".
All of which I actually love more in my native (Polish) version, as the dubbing for Doofenshmirtz is less screechy, making the first song actually beautiful. Dubbing for Busted also uses multiple Polish puns that add extra depth to already great song and AGLET is just nice song no matter the language.
Worth watching would probably be also E. V. I. L. B. O. Y. S.
Same
Finally someone who loves a brand new best friend
I think we can all collectively agree the perry the platypus theme and the Doofenshmirtz evil inc jingle slap
But I think it's good Perry wasn't in the video. He was so confused by what's happening, I think a secret agent that is a platypus would have given him the rest
lmao you made my brain instinctively go "DOOBI DOOBY DOOBA DOOBI DOOBI DOOBA-"
@@crackers3978 AGENT P!
I certainly have the Perry The Platypus theme on my Spotify playlist.
He's a semi-aquatic egg-laying mammal of action
If you’re ever gonna do a part 2, you should definitely listen to Vanessa’s songs.
VOUCH
vanessa is the BEST
B-U-S-T-E-D You're...
“Are they supergeniuses?”
Yes. Yes they are.
There actually is an episode that takes place in the jungle with a brief acene where Candice walks in on them giving a monkey a shower, and Ferb just says, "It had to be done eventually." It never gets mentioned again.
Also, for "Gitchie Gitchie Goo" the whole episode was Phineas and Ferb going out of their way to be a one hit wonder because they didn't want to be celebrities as a whole career. Just for one day.
the last song actually isnt the last, its more of a season finale song, where it ended about the first generation of seasons with a twopart special!
its shown by the recap of some of the more iconic episodes of the seasons near the end of the song!
@@arlofennekku yes!! and it gave us the "GET ON THE TRIKE!" moment
the band Bowling For Soup did a lot of the music for the show and it really... You are not prepared for the show 😂 There's like, at least one song every episode. I CONSTANTLY get songs stuck in my head from the episodes and movies.
Also, two of the main female leads (Candace and Isabella) are voiced by Ashley Tisdale and Alyson Stoner respectively so like, some amazing established voices.
Bowling for Soup did a great job on the theme song but to my knowledge that (and one of the members voice acting a member of Love Handel) is their only musical credit in the show, right?
@@somethingclever5 well, apparently my brain misremembered things. They are only Love Hendel (featured in the Ain't Got Rhythm song) and do the theme song + extended version.
For some reason I thought they did more... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ thanks for the fact check 💕
@@browntr95 oh np bud 👌😎
Mitchell Musso as Jeremy
I'm so relieved I'm not the only one who knew about bowling for soup. Was really feeling my age for a second.
For "Gitchee Gitchee Goo", that was in the episode where Phineas and Ferb wanted to fit the whole career of a one hit wonder band in one day. Every day they do something different, and that was their thing for that day. They wrote that song and got a fanbase, and the particular performance seen in this video was their "one final time" scene. Hope this cleared that up
Edit: Side note. It was also voted the best song in the series. The WHOLE series
Little more context for some of these:
Gitchee Gitchee Goo is from an episode where their goal is to become one-hit wonders
Ain't Got Rhythm is from an episode where they get their parents' favorite band back together for their anniversary. That song was percussion focused because Sherman, the librarian, was their drummer. Also before the song he says he lost his rhythm because he fell asleep in a metronome factory.
Summer Belongs to You was a large special episode that, I believe, was meant to work as the finale if they didn't get renewed again. It went for two more seasons after that, and the actual finale is a Groundhog Day timeloop episode, riffing off the fact that the show's main premise involves a repeated formula and tons of running gags with endlessly creative variations.
Gitchie Gitchie Goo was the first song in Phineas and Ferb! Disney loved it so much that they insisted every. single. episode. had to have a song, and they did just that. Mostly in completely unique styles, the creators, Dan and Swampy, LOVE music. Even in their second series, Milo Murphy's Law, they still made a few songs. Probably two per season-ish? Mostly in the first season, though. They're absoloute legends...
Phineas and ferb is without A doubt so great and the fact that there are people who still haven't seen it is mind blowing. Yes go watch it
And this video was pure nostalgia for me. Somehow even now o still had all these songs memorized
I watched Phineas and Ferb for Years until it was removed from Netflix, and started watching again when it was put on Disney+
@@OfficialInternetPerson same here its my childhood
When it comes to Phineas and Ferb songs,
You should definitely listen to Aglet and Busted,
Aglet is one of their most influential songs,
because it so perfectly captures the shows essence.
And Busted was popular enough to get an extended version and an in show parody (Rusted).
Fun Facts: The main theme along with many other songs in the show were done by Bowling for Soup!
And the singer in "Ain't Got Rhythm" is Steve Zahn who plays Frank Heffley in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies and voiced Runt in Chicken Little!
Wait I had no idea! That dudes a legend!
@@matthewbartlett3442 Yeah! Listen closely and you'll be able to really recognize his voice!
For a part 2 here’s my favourite songs!
-I’m Me
-Evil for Extra Credit
-Summer
-Perry the Platypus Theme
-Midlife Crisis
-Frenemies
-Brand New Best Friend
-Carpe Diem
-Busted
Don't forget "I Love You Mom"
Their New Year song (idk what it's called officially) is also pretty great, my family always listens to it this time of year!
He’s gotta do There’s a platypus controlling me
he missed all of the punk/rap/grunge phineas and ferb songs... which are all amazing
And the platypus is controlling me song!!
I'd definitely love a part 2, My personal favorite is A.G.L.E.T
“Don’t forget it!”
The only reason we know what an aglet is lol
I never fucking forgot this stupid word
Honestly it's been genuinely helpful knowing that word.
i will never, ever forget what an aglet is because of that song. i still sing it every time i mention aglets (which is actually more often than you'd think)
Incase of a part 2 "There's a platypus controlling me," "E.V.I.L Boys," and "Busted" are great ones
"Made me nostalgic for something I havent experienced". That's...that's a pretty cool line.
Enjoy getting watching the show and getting your context!
"Summer Belongs To You" is the finale song for the 2-parter special of the same name! "Time We Spent Together" is the series finale song and I still tear up when I listen to it :')
If you paid attention to that song they left an opening to what is now happening.
If Busted is not in this, you need to do a second one. Sorry fam.
Squirrels In My Pants is based on street performances, & when (some) street performers perform they just make up the lyrics as they go. They don't have to be catchy, they just have to rhyme, by catchy, & work with whatever the beat/rhythm on the "song" is. Also, I like you freestyle-addition-thing to the song.
I grew up watching this show and the movies and now that I’m older and in college, you’ve actually made me realized how wacky and fun and RANDOM this show is. It was such a unique thing that I honestly l never really questioned too hard.
Please do a part 2 to this!!! Phineas and Ferb has so many more songs that it would be great to see you react to! Some that I would recommend are "Busted," "One Little Scare," "Not Knowing Where You're Going," "Chains on Me," the Perry the Platypus song, "Hey Ferb," and my personal favorite "The Moments When We Didn't Get Along."
Busted is lowkey amazing!
aint got rhythm is definitely one of the best songs in phineas and ferb and if you disagree go argue with the wall
It's one of my favorites, if not top favorite.
yess
all of the songs from that episode are like top 10.
fabulous, the actual love handel song, and whatever the other one was called.
@@j2das9684 yess that is one of my top 10 episodes too
I hate that you're SO RIGHT about squirrels in my pants😂 Literally rhyming anything with pants 3:32
I had kind of forgotten just how many songs there are in this show.
Haven't seen anyone recommend this one, but my favorite is definitely "Alien Heart". Full synth retrofuturistic goodness.
Honestly I'd love it if part 2 had either "Robot Riot", "Kick it up a notch" or "Somebody give me a grade"- I need to see his reaction to these incredible songs.
ok, look
now that you have done a part one, you should definitely do a part 2.
i'm putting my bets on "there's a platypus controlling me"
I really want to hear A.G.L.E.T, that song has a close place in my heart for some reason
@@inked_page8234 If anyone ever asks me what the tip of a shoelace is called i'll know and only because of this show.
I wanna see give me a grade
The one Phineas and Ferb song I always seem to remember is A-G-L-E-T, and you can really tell who knows the show if they know that word! The makers really taught a whole generation what the end of your shoelaces is called, because probably no one would know this word otherwise, probably...
SO many songs in this series, or quite honestly any series with Dan Povenmire, are awesome.
4:50 if he ever went to watch this, I'm laughing inside, bc he hit the nail on the head XD
"Oh, it's like a stereotypical pop song"
"are they famous or something, there's a huge crowd"
For pretty much my entire childhood I was completely and utterly obsessed with Phineas and Ferb. It was my favorite show of all time and to an extent it still kind of is, I had so much merch and I knew every single song. And I still to this day know every single song because they're all bops.
This video was pure nostalgia for me. I hope you´ll do a part 2 because there are so many songs in this show. My favorites are "busted" and "little brothers"
OMG HOW COULD I FORGET LITTLE BROTHERS THAT SONG MADE ME CRRYYYY AS A KID
Busted goes hard
Phineas and Ferb definitely has some of the best composition I've ever heard! Each episode has at least 1 unique song and I believe they're written by the same person. Some of my faves are "Busted" "Evil Boys" "I'm Me" and "I Love You Mom" (can you tell I like Candice songs)
You picked two of our favorites, SIMP and Gichee gichee goo. My wife and I like to figure out the genre they are imitating. Every episode is different. We have heard Beatles, Madonna, ABBA, generic New Orleans jazz blues, Beach Boys, Bee Gees. The mom in the show does a blues gig at the mall. Then we find out she was a "one hit wonder" called Lindana. Watch the whole series, but not all in one day. :-)
disappointed he didnt listen to busted, hes gotta do a part 2
Pink, or purple. Either would be amazing. Though I love the idea of BRIGHT pink

Also Candace being voiced by Ashley Tisdale (Sharpay Evans of HSM) makes this series even more exciting to watch (I only knew about it years after watching them so it was so fun to know and watch again)
“I could totally see him singing in a punk band”
Bowling for soup fans: ya think?
I watched like all the Phineas and Ferb episodes as they came out, and there are still some songs that live in my brain and come out on like a weekly basis.
Dude you gotta listen to Busted and Gimme a Grade, they’re absolute bops (but then again, so is every song from this show)
That's the beauty of this show. The songs are great but the context og them goes along with episodes. Love it sooooo much. Glad u review please do full episodes
We need a Pt. 2 of this vid with "Busted", "Fabulous", and "You Snuck Your Way Right Into My Heart"
Honestly, Phineas and Ferb is just chalk full of bangers. The ones I'd recommend would be 'Busted', 'Fabulous', 'Agent P', 'Mom It's Your Birthday', and my personal favorite 'Disco Miniature Golfing Queen'
Phineas and Ferb has such good bangers for no reason lol. I’m sad Busted wasn’t in this. Please do a part 2!
4:23 Made me stop the video to sing the chorus. Haven't heard this song in over 10 years, yet still stuck in my head. That and SIMP have to be the most catchy in the show, honestly.
I am fairly certain that "Summer Belongs to You" was a two-part special (not a finale) which had some crazy other songs (including "stunt" singers in one of them), watching the first episode followed by the season 2 episode Rollercoaster: the musical is honestly more than a little hilarious.
Summer Belongs To You was made because they originally intended to end it after season 1, but it did so well Disney wanted them to do more.
You need to watch the song busted in Phineas and Ferb it's so frickin good!
YES
Disappointed that there wasn't "There's a platypus controlling me"
The absolute funniest aspect of the show is the fact the city the Phineas and Ferb cast lives in is prone to Dance Numbers (spontaneous or planned).
Loving everything so far, keep up the great work!!!
You know what, react to the first episode of Phineas and Ferb "Rollercoaster"
Then react to another episode of Phineas and Ferb "Rollercoaster: The Musical" which is basically they recreating the first episode, but with musical. And they (the characters) aware that they repeat what they did in that episode, just with musical :v
Also, Candace is voiced by Ashley Tisdale.
Summer Belongs To You WAS supposed to be the finale song, but we actually got an even better one called Curtain Call/Thank you for coming along
And then there was the movie that gave us Us Against The Universe which was just so sweet
For a pt 2 These are what I definitely recommend: History of Rock, Fabulous (both of which are from the same story as Ain’t Got Rhythm), Alien Heart, Gimme a Grade, and Charmed Life
Great reaction! Phineas and Ferb is one of my favorite shows! I definitely recommend that you watch and react to the whole show! You would be the first!
A specific song reaction request from P&F would be: Gimme a grade, a rock song!
About the hair color question in the beginning, I recommend the color purple!
The third song was actually in an episode where it showed the top 10 songs that people liked in a season I think. It was great
These songs are all great, but "A platypus controlling me" is even greater.
Yeah we’re gonna need an entire series of this
This is one of the mythical shows that built my childhood
Him: "Was that the ending song to the entire series?"
Me: "No, only the ending song to the best episode in the series."
I'm so glad we're getting another 2 seasons of this show in 2023, HECK YEAH!
I’ve been a percussionist since just before the “Ain’t got rhythm” episode aired, and I can honestly say it’s been stuck in my head off and on for over a decade. It’s also definitely accurate to what it feels like to sit down at the drums for the first time after a year or more 😅
I continue to request Phineas and Ferb songs at parties
Would definitely like to see a part two for this! Phineas and Ferb's got tons of awesome music. A lot of the other comments are asking for Busted and I wholeheartedly agree, I think it's one of the best from this series. I’d love to see a reaction for my personal favourite Aglet too.
The entire show gives you that sense of innocence and positivity. You should definitely binge it.
You definitely need to do a part two! Nearly every episode has a song in it
Mathew: I'm gonna watch the whole show
Me: *looks at the 4 seasons, 2 movies, and 7 specials spanning 8 years
"Yeah, good luck with that"
This show is deffinitly one of my biggest comfort-shows. Like when I am stressed withe exams or something its just so nice to just take a break and watch an episode or two
Is this gunna be a thing? UGH dude there are so much more P&F songs I'm excited for you to hear!
Great reaction!
You have to see Busted and There’s a Platypus Controlling Me. Mix and Mingle Machine is one of my personal favorites too
this show is family time to me since my whole family loves it to the point ive rewatched every episode tons through my whole life. Its so charming and never gets old.
Summer Belongs to You wasn't the finalie of the series, but was the ending song to an hour long special (also titled Summer Belongs to You) which at the time was the longest episode they had done.
Oh boy, I really hope you'll make a part 2 or even a part 3 because there's SO MUCH good songs in this show that it's possible to turn it into a full 20 or even 30-episode series.
Every single episode in the show has at least 1 musical number, and let's just say there's a bunch of episodes in this series. Not even mentioning the movies.
I recommend watching the Perry the Platypus Theme Song, B.O.Y.S, and Us Against the Universe. There's so many songs in this show, I can't even think of any.
If you listen to more of these, you've gotta do Busted- literally the greatest bop in the show, and that's saying a lot.
Would absolutely love to see a part 2!!
Summer belongs to you was an ending song of Season 2, there are 4 seasons in total
This was so fun man the nostalgia hitting so bad ı cant wait to see more!
Waiting for a part 2, there are much more amazing songs in this show. This is one of the best shows I've watched growing up, and some of it's song are still stuck in my head
This show has some of the best songs Ive heard from Tv. I literally love pretty much every episode and song from it.
every song is great but busted and you snuck your way right into my heart and one of the bests for me. you should certainly do a part 2 if you want to :D

Absolutely, part two!!! Two songs I would LOVE to see are of course Busted, which is a very iconic song, but also "Gimme a Grade"! It's literally a reverse rock song, and I love it so much! Also, There's A Platypus Controlling Me and E.V.I.L. B.O.Y.S!
You NEED to listen to Busted and There's a Platypus Controlling Me.
I grew up with those songs in Spanish (the spaniard spanish dub, not the latino one) and in my opinion "I ain't got rhythm" is better in Spanish lol
I need a part 2!! There are are many good songs you need to listen to!!
Some of my favorites are "Busted", "I'm Me", "Queen of Mars", and "Fabulous"!
I feel u mate. I watched a compilation of kamen rider song for nostalgia, then proceeded to watch almost all the series from 2002 to 2022. I've just never realized how many they've made until I saw that compilation.
