I have been thought with Kali by the number..but when i encounter an attack by insane person..i was able to push him on the ground' lock his arm with my knee on his neck until the police came.. wonder how did i do it..its not on what i have learned..but i did i stopped his attack and immobilized him.. i ask my mentor about it and he told me..when you have learned the methods..it just goes naturally..yes somebody might comment that the technique the master has shown to us cannot be used exactly in real situation..but it does really help your body to adapt with the situation..

      That is called developing instinct..
Martial art can develop ur reflexex ur muscle ur mental capacity to think and ability react in evry movement sorounds you or up comming attack... i will goes naturally in an instant.. that ur.body move by it self.. without too much thinking.. it was muscle memory...it will become ur behaviour or an instinct..

I love watching the techniques. I also trained in escrima for 15 year. You have to develop that muscle memory doing the techniques thousands of time through the years. My professor always said don't think too slow. Just react. Must react with any technique that you comes naturally without thinking.

I trained Krav for 4 years and am slightly obsessed with learning all the variations of self-defense. It's so situational and besides building muscle memory you are learning a mindset. Women in particular benefit from knowing how to cause damage quickly instead of taking a defensive only approach. Really enjoying this channel!

great stuff showing the transition of weapons to empty hand without a great deal of difference in application ; unlike other martial arts where each aspect is taught as a separate art or division within ,so it becomes too much to grasp . FMA arts are only interested in the angle ofr attack and not neccessarliy the weapon at hand . .....great application ! . pugay kuya , maraming salamat po ! :)

I m just saying I train with this guy and this is legit stuff, he works with military, swat hes world renowNed. This is and advanced movement. In an actual class each one of those twchniques is broken into short pieces to be used quickly but he trains all of them at once to make it dificult on purpose so that you have train your mind to handle more things at once. He does not say this is all you need in order to win a fight. This is mostly weapons based combat. You should learn many martial arts to be well rounded and prepared. Its gives you an out or a possibility that it could work. He trains random attacks as well, frenzy attacks and purposely tries to trip you up when training these twchniques to prepare you for real world stuff. This is not an end all be all martial art it is a tool in your tool belt. Yall talking shit do aome research.

@@Kthomasritchie You're probably expecting a movie like choreograph fighting similar to John Wick. Sorry to burst your bubble but those are for entertainment purposes only. This is so cool for me because I'm slow in the head but still this helped me so much. Ya know it's too bad things aren't like they used to be because if it was I'd work for any of these masters for free just as long as i can learn. Again this is beautiful man. Just check him out watch closely he's on point. Hey y'all it's me the "Nobody" and I'm telling you don't give up never stop fighting for what you love. Kali had kicks, grappling, punching besides the use of weapons. It wasn't just taught here ofc. These is much secritive than Wing Chun it rarely gets alot of attention until now. Some accounts says something in ancient where both Indigenous Filipinos and Chinese fought against and they're trade partners that time before Spanish invasion. So Wing Chun might've actually got an influence from this indigenous martial art. They might look like cousins now. US, Russian, PH military says the same thing that you can incorporate a lot of techniques outside Kali that's why they used it doesn't really break the flow. Imagine Kali and Wing Chun and BJJ applied together, probably the military would do it
