I am so obsessed with Apricity. I just shot it to my husband for our baby girl due in February! (Fitting right?!) we are in Maryland, US so it’s right in the middle of snow season. Amaryllis almost did it for me too but the end reminds me too much of Phyllis which I can’t stand.
Apricity is so interesting, a fun alternative to Felicity with a really appealing meaning. I feel like Percy could work as a nickname. Not Idalia, but I know a little Adalia who is so precious! Ramone is cool, I do slightly prefer Ramona, but I think that's because I know a few men named Ramon so it makes it a little harder to imagine (but still totally cute!) Alma is darling. Some names I've been thinking about recently that you all might like: - Makindye: the name of a hill in Uganda's capital. pronounced like Mackenzie, but super unique for either sex! - If you're not quite in love with Samara, I think Sumaya/Sumaiya (like Summer meets Maya) is a perfect alternative! It's an Arabic girl's name meaning "pure" or "exalted." I've heard it be pronounced both SOO - maya (like maya is usually pronounced) and Soo - may (like the month) - uh! A similar name (and an alternative to Sofia/Sophie) is Safia or Safiya, Arabic for "pure" again! Sahara could be fun, too! - Rocco, short for Rakan: Rakan is an Arabic boy's name that's super popular in the Middle East, but Rocco is an adorable German and Italian nickname meaning "rest" - Soleil: the French word for sun, i think this could a gorgeous alternative to Laila or a namesake for any relatives with celestial names - Saber: a type of sword (also related to the saber-toothed tiger), could be a super cute name for any Star Wars nerds! also goes super well with Sadie, for a sister! Sable (the root of the word "Saber") could also be a perfect alternative to Mable or Fable! - Tallulah: both a Native American name meaning "leaping water" and an Irish name of two saints meaning "lady/princess of abundance!" such a perfect, unique alternative to lucy or talia, with 'lulu' or 'lullah' as perfect nicknames!!
Two girls names I like that have really beautiful meanings are: Aria - Lioness (Greek) Noble (Persian) (The name is pronounced: Are-EE-uh) Kaiyah - Full of grace (Hebrew)
