That is a very sharp saw. I'm thinking of your contribution to loggers world wide, changing / helping woodsmen move to square ground over round. I've just bought some square ground chain and a simington 451C grinder. Our old man pine in New Zealand often run 6-8 foot diameter ( 2+ meters). You should see the chips come out of my MS880. It is harder to hand file than round chain, but it certainly cuts better, faster. Many thanks for all the effort you've put in.

Cuts well, the 462 sure is a fun saw.
Seems as though you remove most of the "square" filed portion from the sideplate when you file the gullet out. I like to leave at least the upper portion of the sideplate intact(about .035") by filing the gullet up to there.
What do you set your depth gauges at, on a new chain cutting hardwood with a 70cc saw like the 462 and a 20"x3/8 I'll set them around .030, anything more and they won't bore cut smoothly.

Je l'aime bien, pour du bois de diamètre moyen, elle va à merveille.
Par contre pour des gros hêtres bien branchus ça manque un peu de puissance à mon goût.
C'est comme toutes les machines il faut adapter les puissance par rapport au bois dans lequel vous travaillez.
Par contre dans cette vidéo, c'est une MS 462CM
