Thank you Anna and Nicholas for the video of your Box Hill hike. In the 1950s and 60s when I lived in Sutton this was an area that i would often visit, in the sidecar of my dads motor cycle combination, or later with my friends on our bikes. At that time there was a tree inside Broadwoods Tower and as far as I remember parking on Box Hill was free. Your video brought back some lovely memories.
I used to live in the Dorking area a long time ago so it brings back memories

Love Box Hill. Best to do the stepping stones in the Spring or early Summer, gets really busy on hot days in the school holidays there.

The cows are Belted Galloways. Personally, I prefer the South Downs either, West Harting Down or Old Winchester Hill, they're not quite so busy.
