Ali, have you seen the work of Petra Heidrich. Her work is phenomenal. I have always wanted to have a go but always so worried it wouldn’t be any good. But after watching you I can see that it can be simply done and so so so effective. Thank you for sharing this with us.
I love stitching on my layouts, and I love your stars! Thanks for the inspo. For anyone wishing to not handle the paper as much--or at least to minimize bending/creasing it... I highly recommend pre-poking the holes of your design. I use an old piercing mat from We R Memory Keepers (but any thick foam surface will do) as well as a sewing/quilting pin with a ball on the end (or a piercing tool, though I find those holes to be too big) to save my fingers. Put your paper or photo on top of the mat and poke holes through in the shape of your design. When done, follow these holes with your embroidery needle and floss. There won't be any resistance, so you can smoothly stitch up the design.
Ali is the reason why I bought the xp15000 for my craft room.😊 Best tool to have for December Daily and Project Life. You're an inspiration, Ali! Happy crafting!
Absolutely love ❤ this pg!! if you love stitching…Paige Evans is incredible at it!! She just recorded a scrapbook page she made when they went to London. She stitched around every one of the letters. Stunning. For the first time ever I am putting together a December daily… I’ve been gathering the supplies for years, and I’ve never had time to do it. For sure this year! This inspires me. Thank you! ♥️
You know it’s way easier to hold you embroidery thread at the top and divide the 6 threads into the 3 you want and slowly unfurl them rather than pulling them out individually? You need to do it slowly and allow gravity to help but it saves time. I always do it that way as most patterns you use 2 threads so you’d spend ages doing it otherwise xx
Loving your daily posts for this month. For the embroidery floss, you can actually just divide the start if the full thread in half, and pull apart two separate sets of three threads versus pulling individual threads out and putting them back together :)
I always wrap the end of the floss around the needle and then pull it down to the end to make a knot. That’s very fast and easy! I hope that made sense 😅 I love your ideas! Stitching is always so fun, I have seen a few people do that lately
Gold floss would have really popped against the dark background (although it would have been a pain in the butt to use - that stuff snarls like crazy!).

Thank you! THat's a great tip!
I love the stitching too! Such a great idea!
It’s funny when you mentioned embroidery, I’m currently working
on a cross stitch project while watching Day 2.

Oooooh, I absolutely love the stitching on the photo!
So much “playing” going on! Love it all😊

I look forward to seeing your creativity in all the projects you do. Thanks so much for the inspiration.😍
So creative and beautiful. ❤
LOVE the stitching! Will definitely give this a try, thanks for the inspiration!
Love the stitching on the photo, what about finger prints? I can see how addictive this can be 😊
I'm just not worried about them! If people are looking at the album they will be leaving fingerprints and I'm okay with that!
@@AliEdwardsDesignInc Good point 😊
Where did you get the gold vellum and the white with Christmas theme? Is it in the main kit? Love this black frame...
Those papers were included with the Specialty Paper Pack we offered this year (sold out).
