Well said! Singing is not about acting, not about faking, regardless of how he looks like, that's him. A song sing by different people might get different stories. The most important is to understand and digest the lyrics of the songs and translate to the audience. I'm sure everyone will feel it and enjoy the song when you are truly honest. His voice has a purity quality to it. It's hard to explain but I feel every touched and emotional every time he opens his mouth.

Yes, he says at the beginning of the song that it's a very meaningful song and that everyone should accept their differences because that could be their biggest weapon. He has also sang it during his live birthday broadcasts to his fans where he has gotten pretty emotional

Furthermore he is gifted with a

male, a choir in himself unique voice.
Sometimes he sings like those boys
in the Cambridge King’s College choir live.
Addition to that he is gifted with
an interchangeable voices to sing
for different characters in
“Dalabengba” “Cowboys are busy”
To your surprise he is also gifted
linguist that he sings more than
12 international languages:
English German French Italian
Russian Ukraine Polish Spanish
Japanese Indian Korean Thai and
Cantonese.
The most beautiful part in
Zhoushen singing is Natural Art!
And his voice is so touching and
healing that healed many souls.

Wonderful reaction & commentary, Rocky. Your main point about what you have previously called "authenticity" cannot be emphasized enough in my opinion. For the past year, I've searched for artists who were not well known in the USA but popular throughout much of the rest of the world, and I have discovered a great number of them who have resurrected my old musical soul. Ironically, Dimash was my 1st discovery, and it took me some time to even wrap my mind around his enormous abilities and his amazing authenticity both in his music and in his personal life. Some of the others I've discovered are Terry Lin, Hua Chenyu (great theatrical performance art & voice), Morissette Amon, Marcelito Pomoy, Sara Geronimo, Lara Fabian, Diana Ankudinova, Angelina Jordan, Gabrielle Henrique, etc. Now, I know about this wonderful artist. Thank you so much for the introduction.

I love your reaction!! I was especially happy you realized his honesty. He is currently a vocal instructor for a chinese show where people vote on who debuts (CHUANG 2021), and that is what he constantly emphasized to the trainees. He said that the audience need to hear your sincerity and a true and honest story. If you can't communicate with your audience, no matter how skillful you are at singing you have essentially failed that performance

There's another revision of "THINK OF ME" from ZS with an interesting story behind.
He just finished his live show in the evening and returned to hotel room. ZS was still excited and felt pity for his fans who were not able to participate his show that evening. Therefore, he decided to sing a song on-line for his fans as an encore of that night.
He had problem to set up his laptop in a proper position, so he was kneeling down on the floor, with a normal mobile ear/mic set, wrapped by tissue as filter. The music source is supposed from the sound track of movie clip. One of his fans recorded this and shared it with whom was not able to watch it in time.

If you type his Chinese name in UA-cam search, you can see many of his videos and songs and game shows etc . Choose whichever you like to react. I’ve only just discovered him 2 months ago and I absolutely impressed by his vocal range, style, humility, humor, and most, by his determination and ability to absorb different music genres and combines them to create a new genre of music. He most definitely deserves his so successes-ZS is like JK Rowling - the both made it by their God given ability and talent.
