@@tonygersbach375 they usually shy or quiet and just hesitant to answer questions a lo tof the times. i have watched over 40 modified episodes and id say 80-90 percent of the time they are like that
He neglected to mention his aunty is WA ex deputy premier/ex Leader of the Opposition (as well as uncle being Hal Harvey)... So of course he's got the gift of the gab.
The lad is very knowledgeable in regards to all the specs of this vehicle and i found it refreshing how he answered all the questions directly and to the point.
what a brilliant episode. i am today years old to learn that WA had or has its own 4x4 vehicle manufacturing brand, designed, engineered and built in WA!
Alongside a 6x6 G-Class, Unimog, Pinzgauer and Hagglund, I have just added one of these to my fantasy zombie apocalypse garage. Absolutely fantastic..!!
All the goodies on this one! The early ones used to be notorious for things rattling loose but were terrific vehicles to drive. Remember driving one up the Tanami and back through the Kimberley and Kakadu. Halfway along the Tanami the gear stick just came right out....no worries...just push it back in. On another occasion the rear brake calipers rattled loose and disappeared completely tearing off the brake line
Hi Ronny. I have never heard about OKA in my life. In Canada we have 6.6 Duramax Diesel widely used on GM Heavy Duty pick up trucks - Chevrolet Silverado 2500/3500 HD or GMC Sienna. Thanks a lot for sharing another interesting review.
I used to work for the trading post in Sydney ,there was a 4x4 car dealer in Lakemba and they had a few of these Oka vans for sale ,I really liked them then and would love to have one some day.
Good to see a young person knowing what they're talking about. Ronny was mostly gob smacked - no criticism intended Ronny. I don't do Insta nor Trak Yakker. You can monetise any way you desire, but YT subscribers are your best friend.
Great choice of engine and be good to see a review on the new ones they’re doing with a cummins engine in it, I wouldn’t be running eight year old tyres on it though
I was in a stock oka that got bogged pulling in a boat trailer in the ocean in Hervey Bay (we got sponsored by oka from Perth to sail in a race over there). Remember the wheels all locked burying itself. Took 2 tractors linked with wire ropes to drag it out...
OKA Off-Road, Modified Episode 87, Aussie made, Aussie owned, and driven by an Aussie family. How much more Aussie could this get??? On Top of That, This Aussie beauty got the Rego Plate from The Best State in Australia(Western Australia) Can't get more Perfect than that. 😊 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
How the fudge they fit a bloody duramax in there I can’t understand. I work one one of them with the original Perkins and there’s stuff all room in there, must have done some serious chopping. Bloody awesome!
Good on him great to see he’s built something for comfort and off-road tracks hats off bee awesome to travel Aus in that thing!! Hopefully we can build cheaper fuel using vehicles. Ford Mondeos have great fuel economy be good if we could get 4x4s running low fuel economy engines in the future
thank you share this video as great detail OKA what remember that first build OKA was NSW in Sydney as only build for special truck 4x4 for railway or government job
After much number crunching this would seem to be the best option instead of getting a normal 4wd ie landcruiser or patrol . Considering what the gvm and gcm is including a 4.5 ton towing capacity it would be cheaper to purchase a Oka then to buy and then kit out a 4wd. Very interesting.
Hi Ronny, this is a great video. I really enjoyed it. One thing I noticed in it, was you mentioning that you use your GoPro as a reverse camera. Is there a chance you could do a video on this?
If it had a Cummins/Detroit Diesel I would buy on. It’s just great but it’s power train will leave you stranded for parts and lacks high mileage durability. But wow! It’s really nice. For running around artic. Michigan 🤗🇺🇸🇨🇦

Love to see OKA make a Land Rover/Landcruiser type car
Awesome especially w the engine/drive train upgrades!
Retirement vehicle for you in the future Ronny 🤔
I wish I had a OKA take the bois for long trips
I liked the Episode 83 that was a sweet one. This is still a VERY NICE VEHICLE
what a great episode Ronny. Thanks for the video. I would be interested in one of these as a tourer. Looking forward to the next review.
It’s actually a nice change of pace when the guest is pro active in answering in towards the build!
When aren’t they?
@@tonygersbach375 they usually shy or quiet and just hesitant to answer questions a lo tof the times. i have watched over 40 modified episodes and id say 80-90 percent of the time they are like that
Most people arnt used to the scrutiny of being questioned in front of a camera. Id probably be the same
Yeah this guy's super charismatic, love it

Nice to have Ronny on as a guest.
Young lad really knows his stuff, good on him.
Young bloke has such an extensive knowledge and love the rig.
I reckon this would rate as the best modified truck.
Weapon
A credit to the late Hal Harvey. What a beast of a rig so great to see the OKA still getting around.
This guy could sell 100 of these!
Well done, dude.
Bet that oka tows the trailer like it isn't even there!
Loved the passion the owner has for his truck. Enjoyed this episode!!! 🤙
Great video - that guy should be a presenter - very articulate
I really enjoyed this episode. The owner seemed thrilled to show it off & Ronny also seemed to be really enthusiastic about the rig.
loving the variety of different modified vehicles you're showcasing
When the guest is also the presenter!
what a brilliant episode. i am today years old to learn that WA had or has its own 4x4 vehicle manufacturing brand, designed, engineered and built in WA!
Best intro clip on modified for a while “.......waiting for the 405” :)
came here to post this exact comment , glad i looked first , have a like
This guys a bloody legend.
Alongside a 6x6 G-Class, Unimog, Pinzgauer and Hagglund, I have just added one of these to my fantasy zombie apocalypse garage. Absolutely fantastic..!!
I went on an OKA 4WD day tour from Perth, to the Pinnacles Desert, then down the beach back to Perth in 1996.
I've always loved the OKA, anted one for so many years. Fantastic Aussie built madness
Great episode and also the guest was really good at answering questions

Without doubt the best 4WD bus modification I have seen. Really well thought out and finished.... Mick

Okka is/was a slang term for an aussie, dont hear it anymore these days
Really Enjoyed. Didn't know something like this existed!! Thanks
25 seconds in: Instant thumbs-up.
That thing looks hard as nails!
that is badassery!!!! Love the intro Ronno
His expressions towards his bus shows the passion behind the build. He’s really intuitive about it
Nice to see an Oka in the mix.
My mechanic has a very nice one with a 6 cylinder Perkins conversion into it.
What a beast. I reckon that would be much better than a Merc Unimog. More comfort and easier to drive. I've driven a unimog and not so great
Very well explained!!! Really nice truck
I used to work for the trading post in Sydney ,there was a 4x4 car dealer in Lakemba and they had a few of these Oka vans for sale ,I really liked them then and would love to have one some day.
Great interview, and top machine.
Was one up for sale recently in the UK. Amazing bus.
?
Don't know of this one, south Africa , new Zealand, more info if can oka 4wd .com
Good to see a young person knowing what they're talking about.
Ronny was mostly gob smacked - no criticism intended Ronny.

Just quickly gotta say - that is the best intro you have ever done Ronny.
This is the wild thornberry bus
I’m in love.
Great choice of engine and be good to see a review on the new ones they’re doing with a cummins engine in it, I wouldn’t be running eight year old tyres on it though
Great episode. Surprised Hal wasn’t referenced in this given how iconic this vehicle is
Two minutes in and you know it’s the real deal.
Wow,, the bus is so amazing. I loved it
What an awesome vehicle it is!
Perhaps the most famous OKA of all time
👍
Always loved OKA’s !! Cheers Ronny.
That's a sweet bus! Hilarious its been draged... And not slow either.
As a former bus and coach driver I love this behemoth
Having change of mind. Love the transmission and axles. 🤗🇺🇸🇨🇦😁
I was in a stock oka that got bogged pulling in a boat trailer in the ocean in Hervey Bay (we got sponsored by oka from Perth to sail in a race over there). Remember the wheels all locked burying itself. Took 2 tractors linked with wire ropes to drag it out...
Cool rig! The kid looks very proud and happy with it
Thanks
I work for SFC in Canada and it's neat to see the Efoy in an Australian camper setup.
That's a mean as vehicle. Would consider swapping the uterus for a beast like this. Very rare in New Zealand but....
OKA Off-Road, Modified Episode 87, Aussie made, Aussie owned, and driven by an Aussie family. How much more Aussie could this get???
On Top of That, This Aussie beauty got the Rego Plate from The Best State in Australia(Western Australia)
Can't get more Perfect than that. 😊 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
More like the “apocalypse bus”. Very impressive.
Low 14s in the 1/4 mile?? Holy shit 😳🤣😁
Has this dude got a job? Sign him up Ronny he's a natural!
How the fudge they fit a bloody duramax in there I can’t understand. I work one one of them with the original Perkins and there’s stuff all room in there, must have done some serious chopping.
Bloody awesome!
that was great guys cheers
What a dream car!!!
So SOLID mate. But it’s one big Mama.
G’day seen that weeks ago enjoyed it. Very Nice one off vehicle. Cheers
Good on him great to see he’s built something for comfort and off-road tracks hats off bee awesome to travel Aus in that thing!!

thank you share this video as great detail OKA
what remember that first build OKA was NSW in Sydney as only build for special truck 4x4 for railway or government job
First built and designed in gold fields of WA at a pub
Could you be thinking of RFW?
That's Freaking Awesome!!
That is a weapon I love it would love to own one, one of my best modified episodes 😁😉👍
Total beast of a vehicle....drive it if you can afford it.
Now to find a suburban house that will have a high enough garage to fit this..lol !
These intros are killer!!!
What a rig👌
Love it💪

Hi Ronny, this is a great video. I really enjoyed it. One thing I noticed in it, was you mentioning that you use your GoPro as a reverse camera. Is there a chance you could do a video on this?
finally! ronny, go visit the new oka atv factory and make a video, they're in perth
Making them again?
Oh I could dream about this one for a while
Loving this.
You can dump airsoft beads in your tires when mounting them. Try it out, I used it on my FJ80 with 35's to good effect.
How does that work?
That thing is awesome!!!
Nice Rig 💪😎👍
Hey Ronnie, how about getting in touch with Dean Robinson ( OKA All Terrain Vehicles ) and reviewing a new one?
good review Ronny, i know that OKA
Should look into a belt driven compressor?
Yes, I have one on my 2012 Duramax/Silverado. Produces 9cfm @ 2000rpm. Search endlessair.com.au
Fucking hell, 14 second quarter mile in that thing would be a wild ride
Damn I love the build
😂 that thing is ridiculous 😂
This reminds me of an 80s Tamiya Lunchbox RC car.
That is great one
Lovely ep and 4wd with a lot of it made in Aus, but auto with a clutch, thats different
I gotta put this on the lotto win list, what a machine.Aussie defence trailed these and a foreign company Vechicals won out,go figure ?👍🇦🇺🍺
Thats so dumb, we should be supporting our local industry, especially when it comes to defence
O.K. so I didn't know what i desperately need in my life. But this is it.
Awesome bug out truck
At the very start I was expecting a Peugeot 405...Even better got an Aussie made OKA.
I want one and great presentation guys!
Based in O'Connor. Just at the back of Freo cemetary.
bloody hell this thing runs a 14.3 sec 1/4mile. Best I got was a 14.7 in a 930kg mx5... this thing must be an absolute weapon
If it had a Cummins/Detroit Diesel I would buy on. It’s just great but it’s power train will leave you stranded for parts and lacks high mileage durability. But wow! It’s really nice. For running around artic. Michigan 🤗🇺🇸🇨🇦
I want this beast!
Love Bus
Nice I wonder what it would cost to ship to the uk
Very very cool
I would add a safety rollcage.
This guy knows his truck :O or buss
