- Warren Haynes joins George Porter and Soulive w the Shady Horns for a fine rendition of The Funky Meters 'Aint No Use' at the Brooklyn Bowl....click 1080...at approx the 6:35 mark, out of the blue, my camera shut itself off. This happens once a year with these videocameras. I did not notice for about a minute. A total of 1min and 17 secs is not video, but a coupla good pix from that set, to fill the time. Sorry bout that. was a long night for the camera as I had come from the Allmans gig at the Beacon to catch this set....audio is Scott Bernstein's fine fine Neumann TLM170's, and his mics were right next to my camera. about 8 inches away, so the sound is quite representative.
Awesome. My favorite Meters tune played by George, Krasno and Soulive featuring Warren Haynes. I couldn't make this up!
The more I listen to this the more it strikes me as a fantastic moment in 21st century live music.

So love seeing this. I'm right at the front of the stage and it was such an incredible night. Esp having Warren pop up for a 3rd set right after he gigged with the Allman bros at the Beacon. This was one of my fave times seeing George with Soulive at their annual Bowlive gigs at Brooklyn bowl. Thanks to whoever posted this. Love that I can relive this fantastic night.
what a great fusion of people!
Thanks for the upload!
is is so great!
Actually this was a Meters tune, from the original lineup

Music of the meters was great even now and with good meaning but I feel sad for its meaning, young people of today can't know the meaning.

and then warren goes eyes of the world lmao...
thunder tips!
Tacky intro that was worse than the facial expression on the guitar player wearing the hat - ridiculous
Some don't get it, some never will, ever!!!!!
face melter!
Love this song but the lead guitar is way OTT!
