Muay Thai is known as one of the most brutal martial arts.
But the Sitjaopho Muay Thai style can only be described as a lethal dance - so graceful, so smooth, so effortless.
If anyone thinks fighting is crude and barbaric, watching the Sitjaopho twins might change your mind.
How to block a high kick?
How to throw a fast and sharp spear knee?
What do you do with your hands when defending against a barrage of strikes?
Listen to one-half of the twins, Phet-Tho Sitjaopho break down some of the fundamentals of their ridiculously beautiful style of Muay Thai.

Speaking of aesthetic-looking styles, have you done a video on the Muay Femur/Fimeu style as used by fighters like Saenchai and Samart?
Clean Muay Thai ❤️
can do
very clean
Bro what are you talking about. it's a GYM where they train traditional muay thai...
Their balance is astonishing
Hey Shane 👋👋 how you doing champ, thanks to your muai Thai workout videos I've been busy this quarantine. Stay safe man 💪😁
Most ''MT fighters since chilhood'', I think, almost only requires a very good MMA fighter with a black belt in BJJ to really do something with it or a very good boxer who can defend against kicks and clinch (not necessarly needs having 'em himself) he will use angles, combos, will (not perhaps) mix things up, etc, as you know good boxers do...Look Dustin Gaethje in his last fight for example...He only used rear leg low kicks but mostly much impoved boxing from his last fight, against a fcking MT stud!!! El Cucuy!!!
Boxers, good ones; so so dangerous! You can check David Lemieux or Jean Pascal if you don't believe me :-) Watch the fck out for the lead hand hooks by Lemieux and for the overhands from both hands by Pascal :-D Would (not maybe) knock out a truck! :=)
fightTIPS it’s like he was born for Mauy Thai
@@jeromed2 the fuck
Wowww Shane is also here
It's correct technique executed perfectly. As he says it himself, "it has to feel good". It has to feel natural and effortless. These are the correct and most efficient ways for the body to go through these motions, and this is what makes it look like art. There's no strain, no unneeded effort, no awkwardness. It just flows.
indeed
Ye. Thats muay thai
Love watching these guys train!
love watching you train too!
Love watching both of you!
This guy is a really good instructor. I would love to train with him.
If you ever figure out how to do it, please let me know; I would love to train with him as well.
@@Warmcorn24 I'll have to make it a plan
@@Warmcorn24 thats not cheap lol there is much cheaper
Whoa....still producing muay thai content when quarantine happened everywhere.....good job buddy, i got something to watch...ty
cheers

@@mikeemmons1079 This is probably pre-recorded footage
@@mikeemmons1079 This is clips from a full documentary that came out a year ago and was filmed even earlier than that. Don't be an idiot
@@hugh_od seriously? This is an old footage?? From another video?? I thought it's come from the future man!! I thought he build a tine machine...go to the future to record this and come back, edit it, and put it in UA-cam to got a view-count. THIS IS FUCKN MIND BLOWING MANNNN....U ARE A GENIUS
Don't be an idiot, bitch
i love when muay thai fighters are so smooth
so smooth
It helps when you are tall, long limbed and lanky too, helps smoothen the aesthetic lines even more. I don't think this would look as good or smooth for someone with a short, squat or stubby build.
@@johnlloyddy7016 true..and also looks better if you been doing it from the age of like.....3 🤣👊
Does anybody notice how happy the birds seem to be? Sounds like they are enjoying the coaching lessons🙏
unfortunately they're often locked in cages, some shockingly small. Seems like a regional tradition to keep beautiful looking songbirds as pets.
What the fuck are you saying?
This is so beautiful and they all move so effortlessly with grace, technique, speed and power!!! 1 of my teammates moved him and his family to Thailand for 3 years and he and his wife trained at Sitjapho, had some fights and made names for themselves. They recently moved back to Texas and just opened their own gym in San Antonio called Kingdom Martial Arts!! The twins, Hinphet and Jaiphet are absolute savages and I can't wait to 1 day meet and train with them in person!! Oouii 🙏🏾
Amazing video. This shows the intricacies of Muay Thai that would be otherwise missed. The statement that stood out to me was the idea of your moves feeling balanced.
I can't express in words how useful this was. Such simple steps yet so important, thank you for sharing!
I love how they treat it like a gentle art. But when it's time to fight, you know what's coming
In Thailand they spar very light cuz they fight so often. Gotta stay healthy as much as you can
@@ryu-ken not all the time but most of the time I think
He clearly has an extremely solid foundation from really understanding the fundamentals. Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing!!!
Love the way these guys spar. Perfect control of power and all technique!
MUAY THAI FEVER there is no cure! I've had it 30+ yrs and still love it lol
If there is a cure, I don't want it.
MISTER PERFECT the cures death
the start when is explaining the hip positioning is amazing, such logical ways of understanding where to place emphasis and where to aim your body at! Its so easy to grasp, but so hard to execute, beautiful
I could watch this all day!!! Definitely making the stay at home more bearable.... amazing work as always
Solid Demo on the traditional knee with over rotation to a more balanced knee that drives the power home....... LOVE IT!!
watching this thinking ' i cant miss tonights session' then i remember we closed until further notice..........
I hope it reopened, or you found a new place!
@@samdixon4142 still closed in my country :/
@@vrpnblstr3441 I'm sorry to hear that
It's funny because I've heard every variation on how to block with your shin : you should stay straight or you should crunch down a bit, you should be on the ball of your foot or you should be flat footed, you should point your toes down or point them out. Same thing with knees : swing the arm back or not, counter-rotate or not, strike slightly upwards or strike straight in front, etc etc.
It shows that there are a million details and variations in every movement, and that many people have many different styles that are all valid and will work for them.
Nice video btw.
Yes there is no definite style. I often hear that you should point down your toes when you block but i personally prefer pointing out because your opponents leg get caught at your feet causing them to lose balance then go for your combo or grab it if you are fast enough and execute a sweep.
every time i trained i thailand the instructors told me basically everything i do would be wrong. then i was sparring with thais and was fucked. they were all laughing. fair enough. sparring then afterwards with euros, americans and so and the whooohoss started if you have bigger and stronger legs, arms, chest you need to fight different. my legs will never be as fast as these thin straws most thais have. haha.
There are many fighting tips to be learned in this video
thank you for sharing us Wisdom from these great Fighters!
cheers bro
Was just thinking the same. 4 minute video just gave me things that i need to spend hours working on!
It’s the little details that make this style so pleasing to watch. Excited to get into the gym tonight and train!

@@latenightprowleroner7930 Still at it ;)
God bless sir, nothing feels better than when something finally clicks into place.
Wow, I never knew that's how you block with a knee in MT. I really liked their forward knees also, much more wide than one would expect.
Such a pretty art
Thank you.
Beautiful
Good
Usefull
The twins remind me of Ryron and Rener Gracie in BJJ... just fantastic teachers who are really nice people and do a great job of promoting their art to the masses.
Awesome
Thank you
That is some beautiful art
super beauty
Never been to Thailand but that seems like a really good gym. Wouldn't mind going there when I visit.
‘Not too much, little bit’. Heard this a bunch of times training with thais. I miss my gym :/
Could you explain me why do you have to turn your foot a little bit like that?
Valentin Rain well in this case its a knee and i think he’s trying to tell him not to turn the hip that far inward. I In general have a bad habit of exaggerating movements (turning the hip over when kicking, ‘cheat stepping’ to far, pivoting on feet when hooking) which puts me off balance. So my coaches would say ‘not too much, little bit’ :)
...I get the feeling that this man is a good teacher... not like the others
What a fuckin' masterclass of 4.08 minutes. Thanks a lot for sharing this content.
Like so much this vid
It's just like pure art watching this. I really will try some techniques explained by him in sparring when the gyms are open after the quarantine. I bet it will be hard to break out of my habit of closing my guard completely but I also bet that getting more movement in it will give me a lot of opportunities to get a good counter or may even get a sweep next time ^^
Meanwhile I guess I have to watch all your videos again :)
Stay safe and healthy to everyone who reads this!
thank you stay safe
It's a fine line between creating a dynamic guard and an open guard (that gets you popped in the jaw). It definitely makes sense to have a reactive guard that can leverage gaps in timing/striking, especially against an aggressive hands striker but (in my experience) getting comfortable taking a hard shot, with a safe guard, and being calm enough to time a counter to a combo sequence has been a necessary prior stepping stone.
@@MikeD-hn9hf sure it is but its always helpful to expand the repertoire so that u can adapt it depending on the opponent style. I just want to avoid going into full tank mode after a few easy shots and miss my own opportunities with that. Being a bit more open but more dynamic is a good prize to pay if u have good enough reflexes I'd say
@@jannikz for sure. Confidence and improved reaction type and time can be built up through lots of repetition. Happy training!
@@MikeD-hn9hf Muay thai had too many combination weapon if your opponent good you just cannot block all combination well enough, that why he say when you turtle guard you will just be the target. But If you can predict your opponent or your opponent had not so many weapon may be it work.

Good couching
thank you Kenshin
