Your videos are literally the reason I bought my series 2 GT-R…to chase these sounds. I could care less about how hard it rips, when these cars are literally musical instruments. Absolutely love your videos brother! You just got a new subscriber lol
Title it as ' Flutter Tone Tuning ' I did the same thing recently and it comes down to. Length and diameter. The metal piping cant have any gaps with Silicone/rubber couplings otherwise it'll absorb the volume. Foam style filters is more absorbing than paper/cone styles. Despite, its a small difference as i experienced but I'll let you be the judge. Happy dosing!
Yeah, a sharp bend with a fast cutoff/no straight section before or after the bend will kill the dose. Long bends and/or a decent bit of straight before and after the bend are required for proper dose. Try a 3.5" titanium long sweep 90 or straight if you can.
I just learned something new; having an anti-surge housing is why it's more like a chipmunk noise than the long, drawn-out, hectic first note that you (may) want.@@hpsfabwork
@@hpsfabwork oh i see.. that sounds on straight 3" alloy inspired me mybe nxt time i will work on my rb20det.. is it okay running without bov? Cause last time in runing stock 16v rb20s turbo without using bov.. my turbo lifetime getting short hahahah
@@jokerroo sure it is better for your turbo to use a bov. But or for me this little more abuse or stress for the Turbo is a price i can live with to enjoy alle these sounds !
@@hpsfabwork yeah i know loves that sounds too hahaha but for you if im running gt3076r with anti surge.. is it possible that im delete that bov? Some says if running anti surge turbo bov can be delete?
@@cherrrry40 But you can search the internet for a non anti surge housing. I end up buying one for me also. Buyed a t04s style housing .70a/r for the gt3076r

Oh okay thank you i was just wondering cause i have a gtx3071r with anti surge housing and it doesnt flutter nearly as much as that even on 18psi. It has a 4 inch 45° alloy pipe with hks mushroom on it

Nice to hear that !
3" alloy straight definitely sounds the cleanest.
for sure
So dope dude your car sounds mint

3" stainless straight mate!

keen as to do that with my T51R mod G25-550
so dope man.. sorry for asking.. did you use bov?? on this anti surge turbos?
On this video the housing is not anti surge.
Bov is not used.

That 3 inch stainless steel straight sounds amazing. Any degree or anything or is it just a 3 inch stainless steel straight pipe?
Straight
@@hpsfabwork thank you
You know your one running that after market garret turbo, do you have to run a after market ecu with it?
Hey man when does ur turbo start to spool and when are you fully spoiled at what rpm and psi?
3200 start
3800 1.2 bar
The hks one
How did you remove the anti surge? Wanna do but too afraid to destroy it lol
I welded the anti surge grove and then mashing it to the right diameter on the lathe.
What turbo do you have ?
@@hpsfabwork It’s gtx3076r gen 2. I would do the same but I don’t have access to a lathe or a welder unfortunately

Just better flutter sound 😂
Hate to sound like an idiot, but would these setup sounds be the same on different turbos?
Yes and no
It depends all on the itake pipe diameter and length
Does the anti surge housing reduce that flutter?
I think so
Still not tested

And is the blow off delited ?
Best flutter or dose you can get with straight pipe
Blow off valve is blocked off and no afm

No 4inch straight 😢

It’s confusing That 3“ 45 degrees sound different than 3“ straight
