Is there a listing of available SSDs that are of this smaller width? Many drives consume the entire width of the SSD but the length is fine. In this WYSE 7010 Zx0 the width of a standard 2.5 is too large but something like the drive in this video would be a perfect fit.
Most of them are that way. The manufacturer chooses to cut costs my keeping the PCB from needing to be too large but using the standardized 2.5 drive dimensions. I am guessing your question was rhetorical but text never conveys that very well. 😂
