These OpenAI guys don't give two Fs who they copy or steal from. They intentionally wanted to copy Johansson so they searched for voices that sounded like hers.
(Searched, and found) and it's not her voice. Scarlett didn't do it. But Someone else did which I think is perfectly legal.
FFS why can we never have nice things!?
Because someone’s voice is their personal property and you don’t get to use it without their permission
@@sidp5381 They didn't use her voice
It doesn't seem the same to me.
Apart from the AI aspect, will anyone who sounds like her be sued if they make a public speech?
It’s not that simple. If they used her work to create Sky’s voice with no consent and the ChatGPT messes up on anything, it may affect her image and future. I think it’s cautionary of her to ask for proof and it DOES make sense.
@@tiagomaqz The Voice of Sky is not a new feature; it has been available for about a year. Have you tried it recently on your device? Do you think the Sky on GPT-4o is the same as shown in the advertisements? In my experience, the answer is no. The Sky sound on our devices does not even match what is advertised. So, which sound of Sky exactly?
@@SAliGhasempouri based on SJ’s lawyer’s statement, they asked her twice and a day after the second time they released Sky’s voice. His X post “her” kind of make him seem guilty but I do agree the Sky voice didn’t sound 100% like hers and neither does the newest one but they both resemble hers very closely.
@@tiagomaqzThe voice was launched about a year ago.
I'm all in on Revux. Presales have the highest returns, and this one’s gold.
I see Revux doing 50x, maybe even 100x after it goes live on major exchanges.
its not illegal to sound someone else
Agreed. It does sound like Scarlett. We are all going to have to tattoo a copyright symbol on our tongues.
Anyone else hearing about Qventi? It’s getting a lot of buzz, just like Revux.
Nope it doesnt stop smellin your own farts gurl
Scarlett Johansson = Hulk Hogan Ego
In my opinion, OpenAI could have found a talented actress who is not a celebrity with opposing views on AI.
In that case, it would have become an inspiring act as well.
Another issue that is strange and concerning to me is that privacy laws are increasingly being used to oppose artificial intelligence, rather than spending more time and even promoting understanding of deep learning models. When we understand something, we can better measure or control it.
We are losing time!
They did do that. They hired a voice actress for that voice.
never understood why people found her attractive
What utter nonsense … didn’t think Scarlet was that greedy … and to the person who actually did the Sky voiceover … you sound far better than … her :)
Greedy Sam Altman, thinking that he can use other peoples property to make a profit. Elon and fanboy are in the section, whining like children.
I hope they add sky's voice back as an option later. I actually prefer listening to sky rather than scarlett johansson.
Shifting my portfolio - heavy on BTC and Revux, with a sprinkle of DOT and ADA.
"nobdoy can produce horror movies but me!!!!" the key issue is what data has been used, also lets not remebmer that anything that is not foribed by law is allowed, if there is no law protecing usage of data for training models, you can take that data and crate MODELS, that is as simple ass data, if there is a law that any data to be used for model training must be bought and licences! then its a different story, also there is over 7 bilion people on the planet, yet voice freequwnciess are the same for all people so there should not be vocie tone rights!! since we all use same feqenciess
Revux is dominating my crypto chats - seems like the next big thing!
So if Scarlet is asked to play the next Black Widow role, and she declines, then the next person in line that gets the part is going to get sued by Scarlet for being too similar? No. She passed on the job, it went to the next voice actress who did a great job on it. The job does not die just because the first person offered, passes on it. She had her shot and she passed, then slapped the job out of the hands of an up and coming actress. Scarlet has absolutely nothing to say about who they hire, what the job entails, or how it is executed. It was not Scarlet's voice, and that is the only claim she might have had.
very unpleasant actress
It's not an "OpenAI voice". It's "Scarlett Johansson's voice that OpenAI appropriated without permission".
So OpenAI is lying about using a totally different voice artist for Sky's voice then?
Youre wrong.
based on fact or just your fiction
Sky's voice and ScarJo's voice DO NOT sound the same. Scarlett needs to take a chill pill. Not everything is about her. She's a mediocre actress anyway.
