I've not watched anything hollywood for 3 years now - I can't be bothered to seperate the wheat from the chaff). I have nearly 1000 films/series in my collection - about half are foreign now. Wokeness feels to me like the final nail in Hollywoods coffin - imo they did their best stuff probably back in the 70s

I just finished. And everything was beautiful, especially the cast and their harmony. This show has the best cast on the shows I've seen. Season 2 should definitely come. It was just perfect

@@nixie4530 In comparison to the webtoon I feel like it was less creepy in a sense, some scenes felt like they were trying too hard to be scary even though a slower less upbeat approach like the original comic already worked really well. The imagine dragons soundtrack also didn't sound fitting for me, the story was too rushed and some minor changes made it less satisfying because those minor changes really made a huge impact in the end of the story. Overall it felt like they took the original story which started out as a horror and moved towards becoming more action oriented in the end due to Hyun's powers, into a full on action series with okay-ish attempts at being scary while having a harder to comprehend plot. It's not like I hated it, it was still enjoyable, just not what I really wanted out of a series like Sweet Home where I would expect to feel the ambient atmospheric horror the characters felt, instead of a rushed attempt at being unsettling. I don't know if it's only me but I felt like they didn't always get the vibe right for the live action. I still managed to enjoy it by looking at it as an action genre series rather than horror, which is why I'm disappointed, not to say it wasn't good though.
@@nixie4530 Alot of the people who have read the webtoon do agree that the live isn't as good, it might be more enjoyable if you never read the webtoon. But I can't help comparing them, and I do think the changes they made weren't really beneficial, like new characters, especially due to having to cover a large amount of the story in 10 episodes making it harder to go in depth into each and every one.
@purqlechxld I never said I wanted it to be exactly the same. I said I didn't like the changes made. The story could be entirely different for all I care as long as they handled it well. I agree that they worked hard on it which is why I still appreciate it like i said by trying to enjoy it as much as possible. But that does not invalidate criticism. And it isn't really nitpicking when those are valid faults, even you agree with a point I brought up about going in depth with character development. And you might think the small details aren't worth criticizing, but it's those details that give stories their identity and set them apart from their group of cliches so that they don't just become a waste of an interesting theme.

I didint read the webtoon and i have no plan to do so BUT I LOVE this series and the people who played in this series on the first episode its scary cause you see the tall bald headed man which really had me scared and i almost stopped watching it but i continued and just the people who died and sacrificed themselves like its an emotional and thriller series I would recommend it and also a series called "alice in borderland" because there alike but not really but its really good and i hope im not just the only one who thought SONG KANG IS HAWT!

I think the Netflix version of the "Sweet Home" series is so damn good. Song Kang as Lee Chae-rok in "Sweet Home". With this extraordinary TV role he was able to prove his acting talent. For me he played Lee Chae-rok brilliantly. 👌👏 A second season as soon as possible, again with Song Kang. 🥺 Another actor in the main character doesn't work for me.

Not everyone died the same way as in the webtoon though. But in the kdrama, their deaths were way more sadder imo. Probably because they had more time to play around with the characters, so we grew more attached to them.
