I played Efren in 2017; the game was the best three out of five in nine ball. Of course he beat me and I enjoyed it. - - - If you are ever in the Huntsville Alabama area just stop by Steve's Cue and Grill - - - as you walk in you will see a picture of Efren and I on the left just outside the entrance of my cue repair shop - - - I'm there every week, if I'm not in my shop just walk up to the bar and look to your right - - - I am normally setting at the first table having coffee or unsweetened tea if I am not teaching someone how to shoot pool - - - if you shoot pool, since I own all the Diamond pool tables in the bar, the table time will be on me and I will let you break!

Living in South Carolina but my first tour of duty was at San Fernando La Union in the P.I. Met so many wonderful people and that year was one of the best in my life and I've been everywhere great. Salamat po (sp)

Good for you ! I'm 75 from Newark, NJ and as a kid there were always places to go shoot pool. I'm still chalking up but don't shoot as often as I'd like!😂 The best game for a kid. A lot of thinking and strategies involved, perfect for a growing brain !😂😂

There are so many Efren Reyes videos spreading on social medias right now where they make down and accusing the opponent players. Most of the opponent players don't deserve that. They are also humble and nice.

Efren's stroke reminds me of fine silk. Soooo smooooth. My buddy and I had a chance to chat with Efren and Bustamante in Palawan during a tournament back in 2023. They even let us take a group photo. They were very kind to us and both of them played at the highest level. It was mesmerizing to watch Bustamante practice. Bustamante is not a finesse player like Eren. They both won their games against the two winners of the Palawan tournament. Two players in their early 30s, the best in Palawan, got schooled by the two older fellows. I did not want to ask Bustamante what its like to play in Efren's shadow. Bustamante would have been the #1 Filipino player for a lot of his career if Efren wasn't around.
Efren still has the magic! I always get pissed when a cocky young player says that uncle Efren should just retire. That cocky kid got smoked!
I always get the opposite of pissed when cocky young players sat that Bata should retire, because he always puts them in their place!
I think AI voices should retire. They’re getting really old really fast.
This kid has about 40 years of top notch play to go to reach Bata’s level.
I don't think Thorpe really said or insinuated that Efren should retire. That was something this channel's creator just added for dramatic purposes, painting him as the villain.
