    I wanted to defend the ENFP by proving that the piece she found in her hair was in fact the one the ESTP took away (and then maybe placed in her hair afterwards just for fun). But after watching the ESTP clip about 6 times I realized that it was a different piece. Conclusion: the ENFP really had been this chaotic and some poor soul is probably still looking for the last puzzle piece.

    INTP here. I understand the point of view of the INTP in the video, but I cannot relate. Puzzles are entretaining and satisfying, in my opinion. Also, do you know this things that we INTPs tend to do where we are doing something with our hands but at the same time we are jumping between ideas inside our mind, not paying much attention to what we are doing, but more in an autopilot way? Funny thing about the ENTP; My entp brother and I once got into a debate/argument about playing Texas Hold 'em. He was saying that it's pointless to play unless there's money on the table, even if it's just pennies. I was just like, "well, I have fun even without stakes."
    Point being, they really would be the ones to put money down over just a puzzle. He's a hoot.

    • @farrex0
      @farrex0 2 роки тому +2

      Depends on the ENTP I guess, because Ti is what is logical to the person (extremely over simplified definition). But I am an ENTP and I always saw gambling and betting as idiotic. As for gambling, the odds are usually stacked against your favor, and for betting, it usually makes you do either something you did not want to do, is dangerous or it is based on luck.
      What is the purpose? you either lose money and you did something dangerous or something you did not want to, or you win money and did something dangerous or something you did not want to... And as for luck, it is idiotic to base on chance whether you lose or win money.
      For the thrill? Do something illogical just to feel an small thrill, I don't think so. Maybe if I am almost sure I would win, and or it won't be much of a hassle. Now that I think about it, if it is done for the thrill, I guess an Se dom would be more likely... and it is not uncommon for Se doms to mistype as Ne dom.

      @@claytonpayne2408 I have never started a bet myself, but I have participated in a few. But I only participate in bets, if it makes sense to me and the odds aren't stacked against my favor. But you will never get me to do anything I think is illogical, by putting money, specially if it is a bet and I can lose said money. Then i would have done that which I deemed illogical and lost money.
      I rarely if ever take physical risks, I do love taking social and mental risks tho. For example, at work, I would take a completely different approach to something, for the challenge and because I thought it would be better. I usually experiment with how I do something at work to find better or easier ways to do something, which sometimes have paid off and other times have gotten me into a lot of trouble, but I still do it.
      I do love mental challenges, and I do love the thrill of finding new ways to do things, even when it puts me at risk at things like work.
      But in terms of physical things, I am extremely chill and I do not take any physical risks. In terms of material things, I do not see much point to them, i am a minimalist, because i never cared much for the physical (including physical pleasures) all I care about is learning, discussing ideas with people, challenging my brain, and connecting with people.
      I do participate in bets where the loser does something embarrassing. I would find laughing at friend when they lose, more valuable than money. And if I lose, well, I might not like it, but at least I would make others laugh. But why take a risk for something material, when I spend most of my time in my head or with other people?

    • @claytonpayne2408
      @claytonpayne2408 2 роки тому

      @@farrex0 If I understand you correctly, you're willing to make bets at work, but you don't view them as bets. In a way, you make a calculation(probably an educated one) and then take action based on the calc'. This will either pay off, or it won't. However, you're willing to pay the price(whatever it may be) if it doesn't work. Things like this could also be referred to as "taking a gamble."
      Now it seems you dislike the idea of winning/loosing money over a gamble or bet. You imply that it's dangerous and illogical. I can see how you would view it that way, but only if you think of it in the wasteful way that is most seen at casinos or horse races. In the small scale however, the danger in not, and the logic is sound. When you make a gamble/bet with somebody, you get to decide on the amount that is at risk, so there's no true danger. For logic, putting money on something is a proof of confidence in your own skill, or knowledge. So it can take a normal activity and spice it up a little.

      And the experience of looking at a final picture, in a box or otherwise, is not the same as studying the picture one piece at a time: looking at every detail being given the equal weight and importance is not something I (or I presume many INTPs, looking at big concepts and ignoring the details) usually do, so there is some mental exercise there as well (while overall staying a relaxing activity).

    I was playing with my ISTJ dad, he organized all pieces by shape, chose one place where he wanted to find the piece, and then literally stared at the organized pieces for minutes (oc no speaking please), analysed all the tiny details in the "shoulders" of the pieces, as he called it (not the colours/pattern, only the shape), and then after a few minutes, he just reached out for THE piece and placed it in its place. Usually, he was right.
    I, as an INFP, was either looking for the shade of colour, or chose one place where I wanted to find the piece, collected ALL the possible pieces that could go there by colour, and then just tried all of them, until one fitted. Also, couldn't concentrate on one part for too long, constantly switched from one part of the puzzle to an other (I guess that was my Ne).

    As an INTP, I relate so much to both the INTP, and the ISTP. I also relate somewhat to the INTJ, and slightly to the ENTP. But mostly to the Ti doms, especially my own type.
    Also, how could the puzzle piece have gotten in the ENFP’s hair..? Never mind. I’m not even going to try and understand them anymore.

    I'm ENTP and it's 100% accurate. It's not that much about money but about accepting a challenge and making a bet. Game with the bet, even, if it's something stupid, like monkey dance, make game more exciting. Especially when you know that one doing that stupid stuff won't be you.

    ENTP here. My folks have stopped letting me join in when I visit and they're doing a puzzle, because I'll addictively pattern-recognition my way through it in one evening and spoil weeks of their fun.
