Idk there are some mistakes in the translation. Like, wrongly translated phrases and omitted subjects. Such as 1:39 apparently it's not "when you wake up you hold your breath and wait", but the subject is I (bc of the ancillary を), which makes it "I hold my breath and wait for the moment you wake up". @@notbeingusedanymore4932 i actually read a lot about him and analyze him a lot because he's my all time favorite character and kin. i get what you say about being bi or pan, but understand that he's a very gay-coded character. he never showed interest in any women, not even chiaki, who actually treated him well even before the game. he loved izuru, he loved hajime and shows some sort of interest in makoto (that could be just idolization, tho). the only girl he ever ""liked"" would actually be junko, and it doesn't even count because he was brainwashed and manipulated. the game and the anime itself joke around with the fact that he could be gay a couple times (the "finally you're gonna come out of the closet" from udg, and "he gets gayer" from hiyoko in the anime). he's very explicit about those feelings too. yes, his love for hajime plays a good part in his character, the way it changes him and contradicts the mindset he forced himself to have because of trauma his whole life when he found out he was a reserve course student it's something really important about him. but in the end, it's nothing but another part of his character, and he liked hajime even knowing he was just normal, so it has nothing to do with his luck or his obsession with talent. it's just the sexuality that was heavily implied in canon, and, even if i don't care about other people's headcanons, what we were trying to say it's that, if being gay somehow makes you like him less, it IS homophobic. his sexuality, or him liking exclusively boys shouldn't be something that affects how you see him. he's still the same cool, well written character.

Idk there are some mistakes in the translation. Like, wrongly translated phrases and omitted subjects. Such as 1:39 apparently it's not "when you wake up you hold your breath and wait", but the subject is I (bc of the ancillary を), which makes it "I hold my breath and wait for the moment you wake up". Makes more sense. And the"mess you up" part is some sort of adverb. It just means "very much", so it's indulge very much. Sry to make this less feral:/

@@notbeingusedanymore4932 i actually read a lot about him and analyze him a lot because he's my all time favorite character and kin. i get what you say about being bi or pan, but understand that he's a very gay-coded character. he never showed interest in any women, not even chiaki, who actually treated him well even before the game. he loved izuru, he loved hajime and shows some sort of interest in makoto (that could be just idolization, tho). the only girl he ever ""liked"" would actually be junko, and it doesn't even count because he was brainwashed and manipulated. the game and the anime itself joke around with the fact that he could be gay a couple times (the "finally you're gonna come out of the closet" from udg, and "he gets gayer" from hiyoko in the anime). he's very explicit about those feelings too. yes, his love for hajime plays a good part in his character, the way it changes him and contradicts the mindset he forced himself to have because of trauma his whole life when he found out he was a reserve course student it's something really important about him. but in the end, it's nothing but another part of his character, and he liked hajime even knowing he was just normal, so it has nothing to do with his luck or his obsession with talent. it's just the sexuality that was heavily implied in canon, and, even if i don't care about other people's headcanons, what we were trying to say it's that, if being gay somehow makes you like him less, it IS homophobic. his sexuality, or him liking exclusively boys shouldn't be something that affects how you see him. he's still the same cool, well written character.
