Hailing from the tranquil Bruce Peninsula in Ontario, Mai Pradhan's story is one of venturing beyond the familiar into the vibrant tapestry of Montreal life. Her roots intertwine with diverse cultural threads-her father is from an Indigenous group in Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. Mai's upbringing in the secluded haven of Dyer's Bay, followed by a move to Oliphant, provided a stark contrast to the bustling energy of Montreal. This thirst for new experiences led her to Concordia University, a decision influenced by a persuasive roommate and a fascination with the Communications Studies program.

Originaire de la paisible péninsule Bruce, en Ontario, Mai Pradhan s’est aventurée hors de son environnement familier pour se plonger dans la vibrante mosaïque montréalaise. Ses racines s’entremêlent à diverses influences culturelles : son père est issu d’un groupe autochtone de la vallée de Katmandou, au Népal. Mai a grandi d’abord à Dyer’s Bay, véritable havre de paix loin des grands centres, puis à Owen Sound, milieux qui contrastent fortement avec l’atmosphère trépidante de Montréal. Sa soif de nouvelles expériences l’a menée à l’Université Concordia, encouragée par une colocataire convaincante et poussée par sa fascination pour le programme de communication.
