Glad I could help!
Are you sure there's no nontoxic lvp?
What about Wineo Purline organic flooring? I just heard about this and sounds promising.
This is linoleum but based on polyurethane plastic. Poly does still leach chemicals into the air. However, it looks like its coated with natural oil fillers to make it more eco friendly. I'd say there are pros and cons, but it's not 100% organic like they'd like you to believe!
@organicinteriors Thanks for your response. I am personally suspicious of anything that is not a 100 percent natural material and all these coatings and such scare me. They are great at making all this toxic stuff sound appealing. It particularly saddens me to think what all this luxury vinyl is doing to people and the environment.
That's exactly how I feel. Remember there are coatings that help mitigate these things. Also natural wool rugs and plants also help pull some of these things from the air!
Unfortunately all of these options are twice as expensive.
That's not true, actually. The cheapest flooring on the market is linoleum. Ceramic tile is also affordable and costs about the same as vinyl, depending on installation preferences. Cork is also pretty affordable. There are always options!
