A lot of people hate the trio but i find them hysterical. I love the background music that plays whenever they are in a scene.

Ah the Trio! It's probably been mentioned to you before but in case it hasn't the Trio was originally supposed to be made up of Jonathon, Warren, and Tucker (from the prom episode), with Tucker as the leader. However Brad Kane who played Tucker was unavailable thus Tucker's brother Andrew was created. Bonus fun fact: Tom Lenk who plays Andrew also played one of Harmony's minions in season 5's The Real Me.

Outstanding reaction and I enjoy your comments. Season 6 had the most episodes to ponder and think about. So many moving parts and concepts to explore. We are coming to the final legs of the journey Buffy started long ago.I have heard the last 6 miles are when the pain kicks in for a Marathon runner. Recall what the first Slayer told Buffy that she is full of love but the love comes from the molding of the suffering she endures. Buffy is on the hardest part to becoming a strong independent loving woman. The past will seem easy because we now are facing the real emotional battles of life and consequences of actions. Buffy has and will stumble but she ultimately wins the war.
It is fair to be excited about the trio at this early stage, so editing Domi shouldn’t be too hard on past Domi. Andrew (having to identify as Tucker’s brother is a bit of a running gag) is new, although I believe the actor showed up earlier as one of Harmony’s minions. Since you’ve been through it already, I think it is safe to say that The Trio as a kind of lame big bad was intentional, as the real big bad of the season is life itself, as explored through Buffy’s depression and adventures in adulting, as well as other themes we haven’t gotten into yet.

Glad you saw and acknowledged the irony of the gun reference from E19 from "Future Domi". The first interactions between Buffy and Giles were precious in this episode.

In America continuing stories on television that are broadcast regularly (like soap operas) are referred to as "serials". The English language can be difficult, sometimes the same word can have multiple unrelated meanings. Someone who murders multiple victims (not all at once) can be referred to as a "serial" killer.
And "editing Domi" (in my opinion) has nothing to apologize for or feel bad about as far as her reaction to "the Trio" is concerned. Not knowing what the future holds, many of us felt the same way I'm sure
The title is also a pun. Life Cereal was (and still is, I guess. I don't eat cereal anymore) a popular brand of breakfast cereal.
I want to know what your plan is for after the Buffyverse wraps up. Both what show is going to take its place, and what show is going to get uploaded to youtube?
Seems like Doctor Who would be up your ally, being a queer coded (and eventually overtly queer) show full of quips, monsters, adventures, and drama. The relaunch also has 15 seasons (and running), so you'd have a lot of content just like the Buffyverse gave you.
If I might suggest a more obscure pick that I think you would love, you should check out Farscape if you haven't already. Early 2000s space opera produced by the Jim Henson company. Its similar in tone to Guardians of the galaxy (James Gunn admitting that Farscape was one of his inspirations), but instead of CG aliens, you've got a lot of incredible puppet and prosthetic work. This might sound like it is intended for young audiences. It is very much not. It covers mature themes throughout the run, isn't afraid to kill off characters, and is weirdly kinky for a show produced by the same company as The Muppets. Seriously, the show has more leather outfits than a BDSM convention. It's a definite cult classic that needs more attention from the youtube reaction crowd.
The real monsters
The Scoobies feel like they're shutting Anya down and critisizing her for exactly what Angel does in LA (he may do things through The PTB, but he also has paying customers) before Xander tries, and fails, to smooth talk the situation away. Anya's right when she tells Xander to grow up. At best the council should be paying, and at worst, how Angel does things is not a bad idea if Willow and Tara aren't going to be paying rent. They used the money for good reason, but its still gone and they are living there rent free when Buffy now needs money. Shutting Anya down only adds to why they should pay rent. Going to school is not an excuse. Kids in school get jobs all the time. It's sad the core group don't see that. This is just another reason this season's theme is the failure to grow up.
Xander & Anya have careers, but aren't going to school. Willow & Tara are going to school, but don't have paying jobs. They are all Scoobies. Career + Scooby & Student + Scooby. They are Buffy's coworkers. Will & Tara also help out around the house. While they don't take care of Dawn to the degree that they were while Buffy was dead (it's only natural that they want to allow Buffy & Dawn to renew their bond) they do still look after her. It's not as if they aren't doing anything outside of being students (even helping Anya at The Magic Box from time to time) & Scooby duties aren't exactly something that one can schedule. Their best bet would be something work from home with flexible hours. Better yet, program the Buffy Bot to do it -- no human interaction required (which they could've done long before bringing Buffy back -- just saying). ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
@@becca1189 Anya gave a suggestion. That is the point. Combined with what I said, it doesn't make Willow and Tara look good to not pay rent when there are other suggested possibilities. They could quit the Scoobies and live as normal lives, still know Buffy was the slayer and therefore be the perfect tenants by also having time to get jobs to pay rent without being officially helping Buffy Is it a good idea. Doubtful. But neither was Anya's. And they treated it like it was. In any money situation I don't have respect for the Scoobies because resurrecting Buffy is the reason she has bills. What would they do if they didn't resurect her. Perhaps thay pushed a part of their decision. None of this helps my opinion of the group Regarding the Scoobies towards Anya, she had a right to be upset at everyone.
As for the Buffybot. Great suggestion, but if they did that, Buffy would have a small bit of money and not no money, and they would have brought up that they did so, in my opinion. The writers also would have showed it in the first episode of the season.
It just makes me ask, with no Buffybot, why Willow didn't try to make an original bot. Even if Warren was a bigger genius in that department. Probably because her addiction was too strong (since going up against Glory [that was the first time her eyes turned black], which is why I would be suspect that they programmed the Buffybot for anything other than slaying and watching Dawn). They weren't thinking of the consequences of Buffy being resurected or once she got back.
Anya's suggestion is ridiculous and tacky TBH, because the setup for Angel the series is tacky. He shouldn't be charging people. Lol.

Maybe, maybe not. That's an individuals opinion, and one I don't agree with, but it wasn't the point. The Scoobies treating her as tney did without having other suggestions in return (and even if they did have other suggestions) is the badness I see. And the even sadder part is that no matter how close she thinks she and Xander get, she will always be, and has always been on the outside of the group looking in. In fact, it's easy to see that everyone in the group whose name isn't Buffy Xander, Willow, and Giles could make the argument they are on the outside of that group looking in at the original four, (who are the only real Scoobies).
There are those dating the original four: Cordelia, Angel, Oz, Jenny Riley, Anya, Tara, and Kennedy.
There are those that are family: Joyce and Dawn.
There is the annoying next door neighbor: Spike (James Marsters even references him like that at comic cons)
And there is The Watchera who isn't Giles AKA Wesley.
Specific examples are numerous beyond belief to list. The point, though, is that Anya and how she is treated in this moment is one such many examples.
Whether Anya has a good suggestion or a bad one doesn't matter. She came up with one. The Scoobies came up with none, but still dumped on Anya for coming up with one when they didn't. They don't have an excuse to look down on any suggestion and even if they did it is never OK to be as rude about it as they are towards Anya. She had a right to be upset when telling Xander to grow up a scene later.

I think it's completely acceptable that Angel charges people. Angel is feeding and surviving the way other vampires do because that would be immoral. So his only real option is to survive the way other humans do. It's obviously also a work around for Angel's team to get paid and survive. We know Cordy definitely wouldn't have stuck around if not for the money. At least not at first.
But it's the same for Buffy. How can we say that The Council should be paying her and yet she can't charge? It's the same thing just transactioned differently. Where exactly is The Council getting money thst allows them to employee others? What service are they branding themselves as?
There are all sorts of jobs where we could argue that people shouldn't have to pay for like anything within healthcare, but we pay professionals and professionals provide for us because that's the system we came up with. Which is completely arbitrary, but I would say a slayer protecting her community is only about as ridiculous as a police force doing the same thing.
And if other private detectives get paid, why can't Angel?

Flooded was interesting episode, in that we now see how Buffy has to cope with being an adult and all that pressure that comes with paying bills etc. A bit of a ropey plot, with the irritating ( at this point ) Trio now introduced, and as if Buffy didn't have enough to cope with she now has these goons messing with her. The standout and very telling scene of course is the conversation with Willow and Giles which takes a very dark turn. Another thing which is strange is that Willow and Tara just living there rent free, surely whatever income they could contribute. A trivial point I know its just strange that everyone is just piling in there.
Poor Buffy, they took her out of heaven and brought her to hell

Sorry to past Domi for the pain I have yet to see & my sympathies to editing Domi as well for having to relive the pain & to current Domi for the imminent ending of BtVS. ❤🩹🧡💛💚💙💜
If you examine Willow's history with witchcraft, she's shown a complete lack of respect for the power and a completely selfish perspective in regards to her use of it. She does spells whenever she can, in an attempt to put things the way she wants them. And she has ALWAYS dismissed everyone's warnings about the dangers of that darkness. She didn't think twice about channeling powerful ancient Romani magics through her when she had NO experience, when she started cheating on Oz with Xander, she tried to do an anti-love spell on Xander and herself, when her heart was broken by Oz cheating on her, she almost cursed him, she almost got herself killed by Glory because she was so high on herself, she thought she could defeat a GOD by herself. She accidentally made Giles blind, made Buffy & Spike fall in love and made every demon in Sunnydale attack Xander at once, because she was sad and did a damn spell to have her will done. It's an actual obsession. You don't pick up on it right away, because she seems sweet & meek. But Willow has always been jealous of Buffy's power and she's always felt weak. This is a brilliant contrast by the writers between Buffy and Willow's ideas of power. Buffy has a deep, profound respect & sense of honour for the source of her power and she sees her calling as an epic responsibility which takes priority over all else. Because she is the law. Willow has ZERO respect for her power and weilds it irresponsibly, only caring to further her agenda. In this way, she is a lot like Faith was, in the beginning.
Ok, so, like others down there, I'm gonna consider it's OK to talk about future things here as you're almost done with the show. Just in case there are people discovering the show and watching reaction immediately after seeing episodes, for those people, just don't read further.
So what I wanted to say is that I loved "past" Domi enthusiasm about the Trio. I sincerely believe that it's precisely what the crew wanted you to feel about them, as, like always they are, IMO, the best subversion they could have think of the trope of supernatural/superheroes shows which want that each next big bad guy is more powerful and dangerous than the previous one. Which generally consist to reach an unsatisfactory level after they dealt with God-tier enemies.
After Glory, having antagonist that are mere humans that Buffy should have dealt with in a handful of episodes at most, wasn't it for her post-resurrection depression, and finding ways for this three idiots, that no one can take seriously (and they aren't meant to), to actually continue way further on the path they started, and actually becomes threats, to the point we alas all know, is a brilliant idea, I'd say.
Also, people like to state that in S6, Life is the big bad.... I kinda disagree with this point of view. I think they say that so they don't have to admit that Willow is the big bad for the season. For me life (and all the too real problems the Scoobies had along this season) is not a "big bad", it's just diversion, diversion to prevent the Scoobies for finding and stopping the Trio, diversion to not see that Willow is becoming the real danger here. And the Trio is also a diversion, in addition to be a subversion. They are here to focus the attention, while we not realize that what Willow said here to Giles is what we should be worried about. And also, as we know, Warren specifically is also the "trigger" that finally pushes Willow off the edge. But at the end, it's Willow that Buffy has to face and stop, it's Willow which is about to destroy the world, so, to me, Willow is the big bad.. Just a big bad we learned to love beforehand, and to forgive after what she has done.
And that's another (bunch of) reason(s) why Buffy is still IMO, the best supernatural show there has ever been

Well, the "Trio" sure was supposed to be the season's Big Bad. But you already know who it REALLY was.
As painful as some of your Trio comments are in retrospect, please don't blame Past Domi. How was she to know? Ditto for anything Past Domi says about Spuffy pre 6x19. Joss Whedon not letting us have nice things isn't Past Domi's fault. (Also, love the various little edits every time Past Domi says something particularly egregious. Just wanted to mention.)
